SSL VPN for Windows Surface RT?

What API will provide so 3rd party VPN can be created for Windows Surface RT?  It would Surface much more useful RT if the network could be accesesed by VPN.

Thank you
Toby

I went to buy a RT device this weekend.  However, I decided against it due to lack of support VPN.  Without support for VPN (Sonicwall), the device doesn't provide me w / sufficient productivity to justify the purchase.  The Pro model is a more capable device, but the battery life low (not to mention the size and weight) makes it an attractive product.

EDIT: Seen taking supported VPN, but also a RT in Outlook version would make this device a major force for companies (for me of the least...).  Give people a reason to buy!

FWIW, 8.1 RT Windows supports SonicWALL.

All I KNOW is not possible. You must install an OpenVPN client on the Win 7 machine. In the past I used the OpenVPN for Windows GUI, although its quite old now and I cannot say if it will run on Windows 7. There is also the normal OpenVPN client...

  • RDP ActiveX clientless SSL VPN on Windows 8.1

    Hi all

I have A 5510 Sec with a clientless SSL VPN configured. We have a few pre-configured bookmarks and prevented users to open its own URL. We have RDP plugin installed rdp_09.11.2012.jar.

When a user runs Winodws 8.1 clicks one bookmarks, they receive a message from IE that Java is not installed. In all other scenarios I tested (WinXP + IE8, IE10, IE11 + Win 7 + Windows 7), by clicking on the bookmark starts the ActiveX plugin.

How to do this work on Win 8.1 + IE11? It feels like a setting of the client.

    Thank you.

    Hello.

First of all, IE11 is not officially supported by the asa again.

    REF. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/compatibility/asa-vpn-compatibility.html

But if you put the 'portal' in a compatibility mode you should be able to use the ActiveX again.

In Internet Explorer click Tools and search for Compatibility Mode settings.

In addition, you must use the 'Office' of IE version and not the subway.

    Best regards, Søren.

  • Y at - it a client AnyConnect VPN for Windows Mobile 6.5

    Hi people,

I have a client using PDA based on Windows Mobile 6.5 and Windows CE. Is there a version of the AnyConnect VPN client for these devicese and in this case, where they are available for download?

    Best regards

    Hi Peter,.

There isn't a client available for mobile platforms. However, perhaps, they may work with SSL VPN on SAA... But however the browsers on these platforms are obsolete... (like BONE :-))

  • SSL VPN and Windows 7 32 bit

I wonder if it is possible to have 2 SSL VPN client running simultaneously at the same time. When I'm working out of the site, I have to do the following:

    1. I call Array SSL VPN network to connect to the corporate network. I need it to be able to read emails.

    2. I invoke some other developed internal SSL VPN client to connect to the customer's network. This is necessary to get access to access the Citrix customer environment.

When I run the 2nd SSL VPN, my vision behaves erratically as the gel or the loss of connection to the exchange server.

SSL VPN network table is a SSL VPN split, which means that it routes web traffic of the company and nothing else.

Developed internal SSL VPN is configured to route specific IP range.

I wonder if there is any limitation in Windows 7 32 - bit OS that prevent me to simultaneously run 2 SSL VPN clients.

Appreciate your comments and your support.

  • Suggestions of VPN for Windows 7 and ASA 5510

We currently have a VPN solution with an ASA5510 and the client to the PC using the Cisco VPN Client V5.0.07.0410.  This works for Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7, however, Windows 7 will not allow enable start before logon or disconnect VPN connection when Logging Off (i.e. the Windows logon properties are missing in the client configuration options).  Is there a fix for this VPN client?  What VPN upgrade options available, which will allow these options?

  • Where can I buy apps from the Store of Windows for Windows Surface RT?

Is there a "Store" or a "Microsoft Store" where can I buy Apps, music, movies, ect. with the Windows Surface RT? So anything that's comparable with Apple's iTunes Store?

If so, are there gift cards, as Apple has for the iTunes Store and buy in stores at random?

Windows 8/RT software is based entirely around shop Windows for the supply and installation of applications and RT, this is the only way to install the programs anyway.

It's early days yet for the store to have gift cards etc., iTunes took awhile to get to the stadium, which was pulled by the market for music on an iPod in hand, although it has grown more far. Microsoft has unfortunately split this market that music is via XBox that is separate from the Windows Store, so it can not happen in the same way. Same movies are on XBox but there is also a Netflix App so it is not related to a supplier who could work a choice anyway, but no mass down.

  • Windows 7 VPN for Windows XP

I have a laptop latest (July 2012) running Windows 7 Home Premium.  I connect to remote computers to work activities via VPN, but since moving to this new computer laptop, I can't connect to VPN connections that are hosted by a Windows XP Professional client.  I confirmed that the necessary ports are open (ping test and also connect by VPN by other devices). • RVL200 firmware 1.1.12.1 - Windows 7 still does not work for SSL VPN

Try to connect RVL200 SSL VPN using Windows 7, IE 8.

I'm already the only administrator on the computer, and I installed the C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x 64) according to the accompanying note.  Date shows the add-on XTunnel IE 3 March 2010.  The certificate is updated (expires 2011).

Any ideas how to get around this problem?

    Hello

It works for me. When the client tries to resolve the fqdn for the domain specified in "svc split dns.." he will contact the DNS server assigned through the Tunnel. For all other questions, he contacts the DNS outside the Tunnel.

You can run a capture of packets on the physical interface on the Client to see the query DNS leaving?

Also in some routers, DNS is designated as the router itself (who is usually address 192.168.X.X), if you want to make sure that assigned DNS server doesn't not part of the Split Tunnel.
