Stack CRS Oracle is already configured when running root.sh

Hello

I try to install cluster ware in for 10g RAC in RHEL5 node 1 and node 2 (10.2.0.1) servers. I tried already install clusterware but my failed in the last step of the installation. So I uninstalled and tried my new installation of node 1. But when I run le./root.sh as user root to node 1 or 2, I get the below error

WARNING: directory ' / u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0' is not owned by root

WARNING: directory ' / u01/app/oracle/product ' does not belong to the root

WARNING: directory ' / u01/app/oracle ' does not belong to the root

WARNING: directory ' / u01/app "does not belong to the root

WARNING: directory ' / u01' is not owned by root

Check to see if Oracle CRS stack is already configured

CRS Oracle is already configured and running under init(1M)

How to remove or deconfig this CRS and CSS service properly and continue the installation. ???

Kind regards

007

1. check the file/etc/inittab and remove the entry for the crs in this document, which is the end of the file.
2. can find scripts like he's etc/init.d/init.*.  It will show you the 3 files like crsd, cssd, evmd. Delete this file.
3. search for he 's/etc/ora *. you will get an oracle directory and a file orainst.loc remove both.
And then start the new installation.

  • Can save the configuration when running VI, but not file not when running EXE

    Hello

    I have attached a file zip containing a LabVIEW project as well as a built EXE.

    The program will load up the numerical value of the file config in both cases, but it will only write the configuration file when it is executed as a VI, not as an executable file. If I don't use the computer of JKI State, I do not think I see this problem, so I think it's the order in which the program quits? I tried to disable the Panel before closing, but that did not always help.

    Reading configuration file is made in the case of "Data - initialize" and the config file for writing in the case of 'Cleaning up' -.

    It seems that the difference between the run-time and development environment behavior is the Close event of front panel. It's in Dev mode, you do not go to the front > close State, but you don't have at run time. Try to run your cleanup command before the command close to see if that fixes it. If you close the front panel, the values could be recovered, VI OpenG has not all the values to get more because they have left the memory.

    If the Panel should be closed more quickly, but you need to hide the front panel without the closing, you can use the FP. Open invoke node with a contribution of the State of "hidden". This will hide the front panel while keeping open and then the Panel will always close end when your application terminates.

    Occurrence

    (A) origin configuration:

    1 ASM RAC 11.2.0.3.

    2 ASMLIB installed API

    3 Linux 64-bit

    4 IBM NSeries N7950T - Data ONTAP 8.0.2P3 (firmware update)

    5 starts have been created on disks for the 512 byte sector.

    (B) the problem started on the new configuration 'IBM NSeries N7950T - Data ONTAP 8.1.1':

    1 ASM RAC 11.2.0.3.

    2 ASMLIB installed API

    3 Linux 64-bit

    4 IBM NSeries N7950T - Data ONTAP 8.1.1 (firmware update)

    5 starts have been created on disks for the 512 byte sector.

    Note 1: The problem can occur on any version of ASM (10.2.0.1X to 11.2.0.X).

    Note 2: The problem can occur on any release ASMLIB.

    Note 3: This problem can occur with any other provider of storage, if the firmware update changes / changes physical_block_size = 4 096 bytes (4 KB).

    (C) this is a problem with "logical_block_size" are present now drives = 512 bytes and "physical_block_size" = 4 096 bytes (4 KB) because of follows her SAN firmware upgrade:

    Before the updated firmware to the storage device:

    # cd/sys/block/dm-21/tail

    # more * block_size

    ::::::::::::::

    logical_block_size

    ::::::::::::::

    512

    ::::::::::::::

    physical_block_size

    ::::::::::::::

    512

    After the update of the storage device firmware:

    # cd/sys/block/dm-21/tail

    # more * block_size

    ::::::::::::::

    logical_block_size

    ::::::::::::::

    512

    ::::::::::::::

    physical_block_size

    ::::::::::::::

    4096

    This problem occurred because of storage the device firmware has been updated. The old firmware reported size of logical block of 512 bytes / 512 bytes physical block size, after the upgrade, the new firmware reported, 4096 bytes physical block size / size of 512 byte logical block. Therefore, a diskgroup created with 512 bytes blocks now suddenly work on a device to report areas of 4 096 bytes. Why ASM will refuse to import/up the diskgroup (s).

    In other words, the logical sector size is presented = 512 bytes and the physical size of area presented = 4 096 bytes (4 KB), it is not supported by ASMLIB API at this time.

    (E) despite the ASM starts were created on 512-byte sector size disks, ASM detects disks ASMLIB with a = 4096 bytes (4 KB) sector size instead of a size of sector = 512 bytes, this inconsistency is causing the issue (ORA-15085: ASM disk "" is the size of sector incompatible.):

    + ASM > select v$ asm_disk group_Number, disk_number, sector_size path

    .

    GROUP_NUMBER DISK_NUMBER PATH SECTOR_SIZE

    ------------ ----------- ------------------------------ -----------

    ...

    0 75 ORCL:TMSTS01_LUN010 4096

    (E) but if the ASMLIB is disabled/bypassed (ASM_DISKSTRING = "/ oracleasm/dev/discs / *'"), then the disks are presented/detected with a sector size = 512 bytes:

    + ASM > select v$ asm_disk group_Number, disk_number, sector_size path

    .

    GROUP_NUMBER DISK_NUMBER PATH SECTOR_SIZE

    ------------ ----------- ---------------------------------------- -----------

    ...

    / dev/oracleasm/disks/TMSTS01_LUN010 0 75 512

    (D) this problem is due to update the Firware SAN and the next bug ASMLIB (ASMLIB enhancement):

    ? Bug: 13999609 - REPORTED PHYSICAL BLOCK SIZE CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH DATA 10 G databases

    ? oracleasm pilot (ASMLIB) from today works in the expectation that the logical block size and the physical block size are 512/512 bytes. This particular/firmware storage seems to be, then the configuration will not work with the oracleasm driver.

    ? We understand that size of 4K sector disks must be supported, so we are working on a solution of development of ASMLIB.

    ? Therefore, currently, this update of the firmware of the SAN is not certified and is not supported with ASMLIB.

    Symptoms

    Error description:

    15085, 00000, "ASM disk \"%s\"has inconsistent sector size. »

    * Cause: An attempt to mount a diskgroup failed because a drive reported

    value of incompatible sector size.

    * Action: Use disks with sector size compatible with the Diskgroup sector size,

    or ensure that the operating system can properly report the disk

    sector size.

  • TopLink Grid: Create EntityManager fails when running on WebLogic

    Hello
    I am creating WebService that usus TopLink grid to access data. First of all I created simple stand-alone application with TopLink grid and all work very well. Then, I created WebService based on app created previously.
    When I try to run WebService deployed on WebLogic, I got error:
    "line Class ="Oracle.EclipseLink.Coherence.Integrated.config.GridCacheCustomizer"file =" GridCacheCustomizer.java "="30"method ="Customize. "
    java.lang.NoSuchMethodError org.eclipse.persistence.descriptors.ClassDescriptor.setFullyMergeEntity (Z) V
    It fails in the entityManagerFactory.createEntityManager () method.
    If deleted the eclipse configuration file - link.xml webservice customizer statement works. Maybe for server application needed some additional configuration or initialization?

    Thank you

    What is the version that you perform the deployment? The method not found was added in a later version, so it is probably there is a version mismatch where the Weblogic instance that is running and the version that you configured when running stand-alone. I think you need probalby use a version of Weblogic as 12.1.1 which comes with TopLink which includes EclipseLink 2.3.2 for this to work, or use a different version of EclipseLink which comes with the Weblogic instance that you are using. • what the step to follow oracle when run select, delete, update...

    Hi expeerts,

    I want to know analysis thorough database oracle for performance - tuning. when we execute these queries as shown below in oracle. what oracle stage to execution. Please tell me step by step. my new in oracle, I try to understand what happens when we run these command. I have read a lot of blog and book but the thing very confuse me. Please help me solve these...

    Select (with where, order by, and group by clause) = >?

    Delete (with where clause) = >?

    Update (with where clause) = >?

    Truncate and drop = >?

    Reg,

    Hard

    The SELECT, DELETE, and UPDATE all the

    (a) read buffers of memory if it is already present in the memory

    or

    (b) retrieves the disk blocks in the buffers

    The DELETE and UPDATE statement must then update the buffer in memory.  The buffer can be written on the disc of "lazy" way by the DBWR process - that is to say the actual writing on the disk is postponed to later in time.  The changes caused by DELETING and UPDATING are captured in food stamps by progress and what is written on the disc as soon as or before a COMMIT is issued.

    The TRUNCATE causes a control point of the segment (ensure that all Sales belong to the table buffers are written to disk) before the scopes are released and updated by the high tide.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello
    To resolve the warning (REP-0004: WARNING: could not open the file of user preferences), copy the file prefs.ora to your report builder $ORACLE_HOME/tools/admin/directory in the directory $HOME of the Applications.

    Please do the above step after that, if you get an error, please paste the same thing here.

    Select this option if this helps you.

  • ASMCA needs Oracle Grid Infrastructure Configuration ASM

    Hello

    I try to install DSO 11 GR 2 on RHEL5. I use VMWare Workstation.

    I have already installed Oracle database and software infrastructure of grid on this machine. During the installation of network infrastructure, I chose only the software grid Infrastructure.
    Once this succeeded, I'm trying to create instance ASM using the asmca.

    About the discs, I use raw devices. I created a virtual disk that I have partitioned but have not formatted. Did this to create the raw device
    [root@localhost sysconfig] # / bin / / dev/raw/raw1 gross/dev/sdb
    / dev/RAW/raw1: linked main 8, minor of 16
    and added
    ACTION == "add", KERNEL == "PSD", RUN += "/ bin/raw/dev/raw/raw1 %N".
    at /etc/udev/rules.d/60-raw.rules

    Then I tried to create the disc, but it failed. So I did the following steps to resolve this
    [software root@dhcppc2] # /etc/init.d/oracleasm createdisk VOL1/dev/sdb
    Disc marking 'VOL1' as an ASM drive: [FAILURE]

    [oracle@oracle11gR2 grid] $ tail-f/var/log/oracleasm
    Device "/ dev/sdb" is not a partition

    To solve this problem
    [root@localhost ~] # / usr/sbin/asmtool - C-l/dev/oracleasm - s/dev/sdb VOL1 n - force = yes
    asmtool: device "/ dev/sdb" is not a partition
    asmtool: continue anyway

    I am now able to view the asmdisk to the listdisks option.

    Have defined following environment variables before you run the asmca
    [oracle@oracle11gR2 ~] $ export ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/Grid
    [oracle@oracle11gR2 ~] $ export PATH=/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/Grid/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/home/oracle/bin

    When I run ASMCA I am facing this error - Oralce grid infrastructure is not configured correctly. ASMCA needs Oracle Grid Infrastructure Configuration ASM
    Any thoughts?

    If it is not clear what you are doing and how, or two things.
    (1) if I remember correctly, the raw device support is he more RHEL5, OEL5 and 11.2 oracle db. You must use block devices, set up with the ASMLIb to use for ASM.

    (2) did the ASMCA successfully configured when you installed the grid Infrastructure?

    I have a very strong hunch that your installation is not correct. I suggest that clear you all, then reboot.

  • Oracle Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard does not display alternative OAM

    @

    I m install OAM. I installed Weblogic and the MRI suite. When I start the Oracle Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard, I expect to see an alternative to choose to create a new domain or use an existing one. Im not seeing this and rather Im getting a text information of General information. When I click Next I get only the alternative to configure OIM OAM not or any other component.

    No idea why this is?

    Hello Stefan,

    Where you start the config.sh from? It must be run from $MW_HOME/oracle_common/bin/config.sh

    You can then select either a new domain or extend an existing domain, where you can select Oracle Access Management.

    Kind regards

  • "404" error when running ADF Applications using Weblogic / OAM / Webtier

    Hi Experts,

    Our organization works on the implementation of Weblogic 10.3.5 on HP - UX 11.31 / PA RISC hardware.

    All is well enough to work, but we met a particular hurdle and I hope I can get some advice from people here in the forums.

    We have virtual hosts within the Weblogic web layer for different areas. We also have Oracle Access Manager configured to protect some web resources (to force the user to authenticate to access the page). Each virtual host is configured to use the https protocol, and we have SSL certificates installed.

    The problem arises when trying to deploy an ADF application for weblogic, then run it through one of these virtual servers. We want these applications to use https only. Mod_wl_ohs has also been configured to forward requests to the web layer weblogic.

    App deploys fine, and when you try to access the app, we are redirected to a login page by OAM, which is what we want. However, when the application starts to run, it seems that ADF is adding to the URL query parameters, and when he does this, redirecting to https, which causes a 404 error. If you manually add the 's' on the URL, the application loads and works very well.

    For example:
    Say the url of our application is
    https://foo.mydomain.com/MyApp/faces/search
    Navigate to this url redirects to the login page. After the connection, we headed over to something like this (the actual settings vary):
    http://foo.mydomain.com/MyApp/faces/search?_afrLoop=7078069345015890 & _afrWindowMode = 0 & _adf. CTRL-State = yvpch8hdh_4
    .. which returns a 404 error.
    If put us the 's' on the url, it works as expected.

    Why is this happening? Why is redirect to the login page staying is not in https?

    To facilitate debugging, we created a very simple jsp page that was not developed using ADF, and deployed in a similar way, and he remained in https after redirection from the login page.

    Is this a specific problem ADF? Is something that needs to be configured in the ear file deployment of JDeveloper?

    Any advice would be much appreciated...

    Hello

    It seems that you use any porxy between the two.

    Please activate weblogicplugin activated under

    Server--> --> configuration--> advance.

    Enable this option and try to restart the server again.

    Kind regards

  • When running scheduled report, receive error message "table or view does not exist.

    This is the first time that we play with the planning reports. We can schedule a report to base without problem, BUT when the report begins to call database packages it starts mistake. We found the package is called end but when it's a SQL query he does not know the scope of the table. For example if the code says "select * of per_all_people_f' he doesn't know what per_all_people_f. BUT if I change the code to specify the owner of the table ' select * from hr.per_all_people_f' then it will run successfully."

    In discoverer we have it set up so that a generic user db (DISCO_SCHEDULE) is used when running scheduled reports. I searched metalink and we run scripts of Oracles about this user setting. At this point, we think of creating a group of synonyms for tables of this error, but thought that it had to be a better way.

    Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem? Their a configuration step we missed when setting up the user db DISCO_SCHEDULE?

    Thanks in advance for any assistance received.

    Marty

    Hello

    Your problem is that you call the function hr_general.decode_person_name the DISCO_SCHEDULE user and like most HR packages, the package hr_general is defined with the current_user rights. Therefore, the package will use the privileges of the current user when the package is run.

    You can try to grant privileges to the tables to the DISCO_SCHEDULE user and creating the necessary synonyms, but you will struggle to get this working. HR packages refer to other packages and tables, and ensure that you have all the privileges that are put in place will be virtually impossible.

    Another approach is to create a view owned by APPS that makes calls to the hr_general package. You can also create a wrapper function which is owned by APPS and created with the copyright that calls the package hr_general. You can then call this package instead of using hr_general.
