  • 564XL black ink cartridge: 564XL black ink cartridge faulty

I have a printer HP PhotoSmart 7520 and have never had a problem with the black cartridge 564XL until recently, when I had two bad.  I inserted the and immediately got an error message about a bad cartridge.  Both bad cartridges had "China may 2016" stamped on.  I bought cartridges at Staples online and they replaced two of them, for me, but I still want to know what is happening.  Is this a problem of cartridge or y at - it something wrong with my printer?

usually a cartridge problem. If the replacement of those who work, it is not a printer problem.

  • Photosmart B110a yellow ink went Brown (HP364 cartridge)

On December 24, 2013, I replaced all three colors HP364 ink cartridges in my Photosmart B110a as they were exhausted. (The black cartridge didn't need of replacement). Today (21 January 2014) I noticed that the colors were bad printing; a race of 'print quality' showed that the reason was that the yellow cartridge, while always 75-80% full, was in fact the Golden impression. The withdrawal of the yellow cartridge, I noticed that the stamp was no longer a yellow/orange color, but was in fact a darker tan/brown color. A 364 yellow replacement cartridge and a clean print head have solved the problem, but I would like to know four things:

    1. Is this a common problem? The guy where I bought the replacement cartridge said he had heard of that happens (specifically with yellow HP cartridges and specifically 'Brown printing') front.
    2. Is he likely to damage my printer permanently? Is the oxidation or whatever it is the yellow ink that is likely to cause damage to the print head itself?
    3. If it still happens once can I claim for a warranty replacement cartridge (and if it does not damage the printer at all times can I claim repair/replacement of the printer under warranty although the printer itself, which works perfectly, is no longer under warranty?)
    4. The printer is slightly used. I can avoid this by making a color print (of anything, even a page "print quality") at regular intervals? If so, what type of interval? And if that's the case could it be documented somewhere?

It is a 'real' HP 364 cartridge (supplied by Argos to the United Kingdom, manufactured in Czech Republic and with a warranty date in 2015), not OEM, not recycled, either said in passing.

    Hello tonyinselby,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I am pleased to learn that you have been able to get the problem solved.

    1. it is very difficult to say whether this is a 'common' problem with the yellow HP364 cartridge. Without the complete troubleshooting with the cartridge, I can't tell what the more precisely caused the problem. Sometimes Yes, like all other products, some have flaws.

    2. no is not likely to cause damage to the print head, you are able to use the yellow replacement cartridge.

    3. According to the guarantee of the cartridge, and the printer warranty. It is possible to have the cartridge, printer or replaced. To do this well you will have to contact HP Support at the time of the question, because I can't guarantee what options are available to you.

    4. with printing in color at certain intervals, this can help with the print quality, as the ink is not just sitting there. Keep in mind also that your printer does its own maintenance as long as it stays on. You can also run a cleaning print head to properly maintain the printer.

I hope that this answers your questions .

    Thank you.

  • Lift and stamp of exposure, but not cropping

I would like to stamp exhibition, but it seems that it also marks the cropping and it cannot be disabled.  Am I missing something, or is there a way to simply remove the selected settings.  The box seems to apply to everything under the "adjustments" section.

Just in case where you can't find this now - the answer is a little late, I know

In the lift & Stamp HUD, you can remove items, not just disable them.

First raise the data of the selected image. In the lift & Stamp HUD click the Basel to the right of the "adjustments", then select "Crop" and use the delete key to remove the culture of fundraising points.

Just delete the full entry using the delete key.

  • I got a low ink warning on my mac for my printer epson artisan 837. I replaced the cartridge, which was low, but he still reads the low ink level on the mac, but full bed on the epson Control Panel.

Well, I replaced the cartridge as usual, and osx is not that the printer is now complete: says, "printer may be out of ink" on the status. Ink levels will be not displayed via the computer but check out on the printer.

Restarted both units and in vain.

    WiFi is not a factor.

If anyone has a solution or any ideas, please help.

    Thank you!

You can try to disconnect the printer, restart the computer, reconnect with the printer, and then try again.

  • Unable to print black and white with an empty cartridge

My printer will not print not black-and-white, except when a color cartridge is replaced empty.

How can I print black with an empty color in place cartridge?

Some IIC (individual ink cartridge) printers have print heads that require ink available for periodic maintenance tasks. This avoids problems with hooves in the print head and the bad print quality. The following printers are unable to print when a cartridge is empty, even if the other cartridges.

If one or more color ink cartridges are low but not empty and you want to minimize the use of color ink, you can change the settings in the HP software to print in black ink only (grey levels). Even if you change the print settings to print in black ink only, the other ink cartridges still have ink in them so that the printer to print.

If you choose to print in black ink only, the printer always uses small amounts of ink from all cartridges for occasional maintenance tasks. HP recommends to replace the low ink cartridges in order to avoid any interruption in printing.

  • No printing with a depleted cartridge capacity

    I have a printer of HP all-in-one OfficeJet 6700, part No. H711.

Guide, Chapter 7, pp. 74, section entitled user

During the one or more ink cartridges are exhausted

"If the black cartridge is exhausted, any black color in print is created using a combination of the remaining colors."

And "If a color cartridge is exhausted, the printer print in grayscale using the black cartridge."

In both cases, my printer did print when only the black cartridge has been exhausted when one of the color toner is exhausted.  The screen on the printer says 'impoverished cartridges need to be replaced to resume printing'.

Can someone explain this discrepancy? Is the guide of the wrong user or HP subsequently change its policy and lock the printer when a cartridge is exhausted?

Well in this case, it could indicate a defective product. I will say to contact support to phone to check if there are a few troubleshooting steps more who could be played.

Please make sure the cartridges are not refilled and also use genuine hp cartridges.

  • Printer cartridge

I installed a cartridge Q2610A printer and when I print the paper, it is covered with black toner.

What can I do to get the cartridge works fine.

Is the toner cartridge new hp oem or aftermarket. If the new hp oem returns instead of purchase for refund or Exchange. The cartridge cannot be set because it appears that the wiper blade has gone wrong. Keep in mind for laserjet printers toner 2300 is 14 years old now. Many including tonic oem hp toner appearing on the market are very old, have been sitting on pantry felland years and unless the conditions are just right after about 3-4 years they spoil. You can later tell year hp original toner by the area that should be black and white.  If the box is blue and white, then the toners are at less than 8 years. Hope this helps.

  • HP OfficeJet 4650: Ink cartridges HP Instant

    Hello

I recently bought this printer to take with me to the University. My laptop, printer and telephone are all connected to the same wi - fi and they will print stop no problem but when I go my instantaneous count of ink HP he always tells me that the printer is offline and cannot update to tell me how many page I used. I don't understand why it won't refresh and says that it is offline when it allows to print from my laptop and wireless phone. I wonder if you can give me advice.

    Thanks Grace

  • HP ENVY 4500: Ink cartridges HP Instant

I just bought a map of the HP Instank ink. I'm about to use the first black cartridge, but I still have another cartridge new color I need to use. I start support fully if I use only one cartridge?

    Hey @EMJ-00.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have some questions about the instant the ink program. I can help you with that.

When you print, the system determines if an instant ink page is printed according to it there a moment cartridge in the printer. If you insert the black cartridge, your only color pages into account. My suggestion is to insert two instant ink cartridges and save the color cartridge for emergencies.

Please let me know if that solves your problems. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • Black ink cartridge will not print

Putting in a new black ink cartridge the printer says it's there and full of new ink but when printing it don't use it. It happened the last time that I put in the black cartridge and I managed to do it finally work but don't remember what I did. Why is this happening?

With printing black ink is not like that, there are only a few things you can try, and it looks like you did most of them. If the steps described in the following paper the link did not help, then you might make a physical print head cleaning. Bob_Headrick gave the steps to do this in the post below. If none of this does not work, you can either replace the printhead by contacting the support of HP, or you will need to replace the printer. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  • HP 6500 Office jet E709a - black HP 920 cartridge printer does not

My blck ink is not, the Panel indicates that it is about 2/3 full. But it does not print anything in black. I turned the printer off and back and I remmoved the ink cartridge and put it again. I don't know what else to do.

In this post troubleshooting steps can help solve the black not printing in printers with inks separate (one for each color) and removable heads.

In some cases, it may seem that the black is not printing, but it may appear in the pages of test or when the brilliant media is selected in the driver.  Black pigmented, used in most HP inkjet printers is not compatible with the glossy media.  When brilliant media is selected, the printer will use color to render black areas.  [A similar process is used in the pages of diagnostics of some printers.  [So that the information can be read, even if some colors or black don't work.]  If in a pinch, you need to print in black you see acceptable temporary results by changing the driver settings to select the glossy photo paper.

To address the underlying issue of clogged print head black, the following may help: first check the vents of the ink cartridge is properly erased as shown in the fourth Solution here.

  • Problem - has ink cartridge but no printing appears on the paper

I have a printer of HP Deskjet 4200 all-in-one with a relatively new ink cartridge.  The printer prints white - nothing appears on my paper.  The last time I used the printer (with the same cartridges) was four months ago, and he was fine.  To my knowledge, nothing has changed (parameters, etc.).  I can't figure out how to get the printer to print anything.  I could go out and buy new cartridges, but ones I have is barely used, although only around the age of 6 months.  And the problem seems to be both color and black print (printer has two cartridges) - so I made me think that it would not be a cartridge problem.  Any suggestions on what I might try?  Thank you.

It is possible that the print heads have become clogged due to sitting for so long unused.  Try to run the three cycles of cleaning of the Toolbox.  If it does not recover the printhead, then place 1 "of very hot water in a cup and watch the nozzles of cartridge in hot water for about five minutes.  When it comes gently dry the printhead on a wet cloth dry contacts of the cartridge, then reinstall the cartridges in the printer, and try another cleaning cycle.

  • How to solve the Message "Incompatible print cartridge".

    Hello everyone

Have you ever received the message "Incompatible print cartridge"? This may be caused by defective cartridges, dirty cartridge contacts, or by using the wrong cartridges for your printer or the region. If you get this message after moving to another country and using a different HP ink you will need to call HP support and ask them to explain how to change the region of your printer.

If, however, you have not moved and you get this message with a new cartridge or current a little troubleshooting can be made. There is an article and the youtube video to help you to solve this problem, they are two excellent tools for troubleshooting. If the steps do not resolve your problem that make sure you try a different cartridge because it helps to isolate the problem to the printer or cartridge.
