Start game from Taipei of WEP original games under Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a new 64 bit Windows 7 pc and will not play the game of Taipei since the original games of WEP.  Win7 reports that this game is not compatible.  This game is great on my previous 32-bit Vista & XP pro systems.  I tried different compatibility modes & nothing seems to work.  Any ideas?

Do you have an error message when you try to play the games?

What version of Windows 7 installed on your computer?

There is also a built-in game of the same type that you are trying to play. You can check if the feature is turned on or off for your computer.

  • Problems with games under Windows 7

    Someone knows a problem to start Freecell or Solitare under Windows 7? First of all, I fell into it when I bought a new computer (HP Pavilion Elite). When you play games the screen starts blinking annoying way when the mouse is turned on. I returned the computer at Best Buy and the Geek Squad confirmed my problem using their mouse and the monitor. They exchanged the computer for a computer to identicle who then developed similar problems. This was again confirmed by the Geek Squad. They exchanged this computer for an Asus CG series which now shows similar problems in slightly less (though still annoying). If these simple games wasn't buying intention, they revealed a problem that appears to me as being caused by Windows 7. I had years of experience with these games under Windows Vista with no problems at all.

    I recommend you to update the display adapter drivers and see if it makes a difference. You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps. 
     
    1. open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. in Device Manager, locate the graphics card and then double-click the device name.
    3. click Driver tab, then click on uninstall the driver and follow the instructions.
     
    Restart the computer and let the computer install the generic drivers.
     
    Now, try to follow the link provided to update a hardware driver that is not working properly and check the question below.
     
     
    If the problem persists then you need to download the latest drivers for card viedeo and install it successfully.
     
    To get the latest drivers, you must contact the manufacturer of your hardware.
     
    If you still experience the problem, then you can create a new user profile.
     
    Steps to create a new user account:
     
    Open user accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking user accounts and family safety, then clicking on user accounts.
    Click on manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
     
    Click on create a new account.

  • Fort to freeze during the games with Windows 7 64 bit.

    I got Windows 7 64 bit on my machine, with a nvidia gtx260 graphics card, with the most recent driver. (All other materials and drivers listed below in the dxdiag text). Since installing win7, virtually any game I play system will make hard-gel duration indeterminate (sometimes an hour or two, sometimes 2-3 seconds). Everything that is currently on the screen freezes in place, the speakers make a buzzing noise / growling midrange and the system becomes completely insensitive and requires a hard reboot (press the reset button on the case for the power of flash). The system power settings are set on "high performance". Nor my CPU or GPU run hot, both are well within their limits. The system does not generate error messages, it freezes just. Any help would be appreciated!

    Yep, shocking both of these seems to have solved my problem (the front side bus in particular).

    For questions specific to l4d2, I had to set the affinity of the unique base game.

    First question - what has changed on the computer just before this change in behavior that's happened? An update? A new application? A new anti-virus application? Nothing at all? Carefully because any change on the computer can be causal.

    It can be also the port USB of your computer has not... have you tried others?

    You can also consider a re - loading BlackBerry Desktop software... If Yes, then I suggest this thread:

    It begins with a process to start properly and there is an exchange of views, and there is also a post (15) with links to earlier versions of the Software Desktop, if those who are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work... but it worked to much to solve the problems they have.

  • Download the photos from the memory of the card under Windows 7.

    Windows XP was great to upload photos, even if it would freeze sometimes. Vista was awful. Windows 7 is very confused. When I insert a cd - r to copy photos from memory cards, he asked on behalf of the cd If you want to, I don't have so I just click next, it gives me a screen white/shaded and a message in the lower right say there are ready to download photos, but when I click it, it does nothing.   • I can't access the MSN games under windows 7.

    I have a new HP Pavilion dv7-3069wm laptop computer with Windows 7 and Internet Exployer 8.  I couldn't play MSN games.  I tried the recommendations of all the cookies, security level, pop - up blockers MSN, etc..  Nothing seems to work.  I get a notice on the report of the privacy that blocks certain things.  I tried to always leave these but he continues to block.  Is this the problem or is this something that I totally missed.  I really enjoy the games and do not abandon them, would rather go back to my old computer.

    Try the following question and see if it solves the problem.
    Click Start > type "cmd" in the search box > right-click on the cmd at the top of the list icon and select run as administrator >
    Type "regsvr32 jscript" and press ENTER.  Then close the command prompt window, start IE and test.

  • Remove the spaces after the launch of directx10 games in Windows 7 64 bit

    Whenever I try to run a game that uses directx 10, the screen turns off, and the computer becomes inadmissible.

    I did a search on the web, and it seems to be a problem with the installation of games that use directx 9 .0c, because they seem to force the installation of the first. Appearently, it replaces some dx11 files and this allows.

    Apparently, the solution is to reinstall directx, which I did, but to no avail. There is no error in dxdiag, and he displayed that directx 11 is the current version:

    I have tried several games now, and they all have the same problem:

    Side lost half-life (steam)
    Crysis
    3D mark vantage (not a game, but it has the same issue)

    I got setup of directx from directx home page, and I had the latest version. I even tried to download the redistributable. The question is, can I somehow fix directx? Have I downloaded the wrong version, and if so, where can I get the right version?

    The dxdiag you posted, it looks like your video driver is not the most recent.  The latest from the ATI Web site has a date of 27/01/10.  I suggest you upgrade to this pilot and test.

  • Help with 16-bit games on Windows 7 64 bit Edition home premium

    OK, so basically what I'm trying to run Lego rock raiders and other 16-bit on my computer games.
    I tried different modes of compadability
    The game worked on windows vista and xp, the problem is I have no more of these computers and the virtual xp is reserved for the profesional and more the game then starts fickers twice then crashes to the desktop.
    I don't know if theres some kind of patch or another way to be able to get those old games to work maybe a virtual windows 2000 System I use doesn't use much space and doesn't cost money
    Can anyone help?

    Deleted or uninstalled?
    If you deleted and have not emptied the trash (assuming that it was not too big to fit in the trash), you can restore from there.

    If you have uninstalled the game, you may be able to recover through the system restore.

    After you run setup.exe from the CD, progress bar shows 100% full file copy, but installation is not yet complete and always showing "System Setting update '... However, I suspect that it does not work because the progress bar has not changed for 30 minutes or more... How to solve this problem?

    Game: Dungeon Siege (original version)

    Question: Tried to install this for the first time since the upgrade to Windows 7/new machine. Inserted disc, run setup.exe. The installation program starts very well, the initial menu. As soon as you try to click on any button in the menu, the installer hangs and needs to be terminated from the Task Manager.

    Tried explicitly to 'run as administrator' and a wide variety of settings for compatibility mode. All give the same result - the installer crashes as soon as you click any button.

    Anyone has any ideas to fix this?

    ePrint printer (set up an email from the printer and send a document to the Android)
    * Use the HP ePrint home & Biz app that allows you to print directly to the printer of the Android

    In both cases, the officejet 8600 should be connected to your network wirelessly or through ethernet. To start using home & Biz it android should be connected to the same wireless network that the printer is working correctly.
