Fort to freeze during the games with Windows 7 64 bit.

I got Windows 7 64 bit on my machine, with a nvidia gtx260 graphics card, with the most recent driver. (All other materials and drivers listed below in the dxdiag text). Since installing win7, virtually any game I play system will make hard-gel duration indeterminate (sometimes an hour or two, sometimes 2-3 seconds). Everything that is currently on the screen freezes in place, the speakers make a buzzing noise / growling midrange and the system becomes completely insensitive and requires a hard reboot (press the reset button on the case for the power of flash). The system power settings are set on "high performance". Nor my CPU or GPU run hot, both are well within their limits. The system does not generate error messages, it freezes just. Any help would be appreciated!

For questions specific to l4d2, I had to set the affinity of the unique base game.

good luck for anyone else meets these questions, I suggest you troubleshooting on the Web site of the producer of your motherboard, because the window has some of the worst service-forum linked forever.

I tried their update and uninstall the universal periodic publication of bus drivers. I don't know what to do about the other error. He also told me I need to more memory, but would not fix these errors.  If anyone can help I would really appreciate it!

  • Age of Empires 2 cannot host the game with Windows 7, Server networking DirectPlay

I recently installed Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion on Windows 7 Ultimate RC1 at home.

This game does not work on Windows 7 with some work. First color is screwed up because it runs using 256 colors. Killing the task of 'explorer' in the Task Manager, while the game is running fixed that.

My new problem is that I can't host a game in network on Windows 7. I've done some packet sniffing and I think it has to do with Directplay Server does not properly.

    According to Wikipedia

    • In Windows Vista , DirectPlay has been deprecated and DirectPlay Voice and NAT Helper of DirectPlay have been removed.

I can join Games hosted on a Windows XP with Windows 7 machine, but I'm not able to host my own games.

At work, we all use Windows 7 to play after hours is not possible because we do not have an XP machine to host the game.

How can I me Directplay specifically Directplay Server run on Windows 7?

I tried AOE2 running in Compatibility Mode for XP SP2 as it as an administrator.

    Kind regards

    Joey

If, after upgrading two machines Windows 7 Beta to Windows 7 Professional Retail, I managed to get the machines to see after turning off UPnP on the router. I guess AOE2 is the ad itself and the router it's treat as UPnP.

  • LaserJet P1102w: Laserjet P1102w cannot activate the installation with Windows Vista 32 bit PC computer wireless

Hello forum HP, I can use the Laserjet P1102w with USB connection on 3 different devices including a portable Apple and PC Windows Vista and Windows 7 laptop computer, but can not perform a wireless installation with the broadband internet connected wireless PC running Windows Vista 32 bit. The main message is that the computer does not find the printer even when using the USB connection. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi @Kaiser3107,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

I understand that you have a HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer that connects three thin devices via the USB port, but you can not perform a wireless installation on a fourth device, equipped of Windows Vista 32-bit, because the PC does not detect the printer via the USB port. I would like to help with that.

Here is a support document which includes 'USB device is not detected by Windows' which can help the issue of detection - Troubleshooting (Windows Vista) USB connections.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

In fact, if it helps you to find a solution, please click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

  • Receiver wireless XBOX 360 will not connect to the controller with Windows XP 32-bit

I bought the receiver the other day and tried it on my computer. I installed the stuff that came on the disc, no problem. I plugged the receiver and tried to turn on the controller and it simply not picking up the controllers. I tried on all 3 of the controllers that I own, but nothing helped. I looked the problem on google and all say to install the new drivers on the "unknown device", but that doesn't seem to be the issue.   My computer doesn't pick up the 'Xbox 360 wireless receiver for Windows' device no problem. But when I try to sync the receiver with the controllers I get nothing.  He also says that I have driver 2.1.0.1349 if that helps

  • Error: "Windows could not update the configuration to start the computer. Installation cannot move forward"during the installation of Windows 8 64-bit OEM System Builder on Macbook Pro for help using Boot Camp

    Hello

I have a brand new Macbook pro and I bought the OEM System Builder of 64-bit Windows 8 driver in a store. My problem is that I have not only not able to install it using Boot Camp. At the end of the installation, a message appears with the following text "Windows could not update the configuration to start the computer. Installation cannot continue.

I'm not really a tech guy but I also tried to download virtual box and the same error comes back.

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you!

Original title: Windows 8 64-bit English OEM System Builder

The thread is old now, but it is for those who always have this problem.

When I got the error, I cancelled and restarted the machine. I pressed the 'option' button when starting upwards and he grew the boot partitions. You should see a 'EFI Boot' partition. Choose that and you restart the installation process, but this time it works.

Supposedly the boot EFI and WinInstall partition should do the same thing. Manually, select one or the other.

  • Getting the 80070005 error during the backup with windows vista home premium then closes backup

When I use backup in windows I get errors then backup closes. the errors were 0x800700AA and now 0x80070005. I'm not familiar with what they mean but have tried Fixit without success.

    Hi Brian,.

This error code means that the file or folder you want to backup does not have the necessary permissions.

    Method 1:

If you need to make a backup of any file or folder, please ensure that give you all the permissions for that particular file or folder.

To set the permissions of files, see the procedure below:

    a. right click on the file or folder and then click Properties.

    b. click the Security tab.

    c. under group or user names, click your name to see the permissions you have.

    d. If they don't get permission, click on change and give the full control.

    e. then check if you are able to backup.

    What are the permissions?

Method 2: Check if you are able to backup by following these steps:

Try to temporarily disable your anti-virus and malware during execution of the backup. If the backup works fine, then you have to search for updates and firewall settings in the security software.

Note: Make sure that you enable the antivirus software, other security and firewall after the test programs.

    Method 3:

    Disable UAC during backup control.

Enable or disable the User Account Control

Note: Make sure that you enable user account control and the back of the antivirus on the computer after you complete these steps. It is not recommended to disable these settings on the computer. It's just to solve the problem.

  • HP LaserJet 1200: HP LaserJet 1200 connected via USB to the PC with Windows 7 is not redirected in DRC

    Hello.

HP LaserJet 1200 connected via USB to the PC with Windows 7 (32 bit) and works fine (latest drivers via Windows Update installed).

But when I have connected via RDC (Remote Desktop Connection) for PC with Windows XP and try to print from this PC to LJ1200 - it is not redirected in a remote desktop session and I did not see in printers and Faxes folder.

Other printers from PC with Win7 works fine via DRC (XPS Document Writer and PDFCreator).

During this time when I do the same thing from another PC with Windows XP, LJ1200 (connected via USB to the PC) works very well through the DRC.

Anyone know how to make LJ1200 to be redirected in a remote desktop session?

    Thanks in advance.

For more information, here are 2 possible solutions:

    1. put two computers in the same workgroup and then share the printer and install from the remote computer.

    2. best solution: install on PC with Windows 7 drivers for Windows XP (PCL6) - it works very well as a redirected local printer via DRC!

  • Multiprocessor Configuration does not support the installation of Windows 7 64-bit.

I'm going as a joint discussion on the multiprocessor Configuration not supported during the installation of Windows 7 64-bit. I have a HP with a motherboard HP xw6200 workstation. The Machine has dual Zeon 3.20 Ghz. the procesors are identical. There bus 800 MHZ front. It has 6 gigs of 400 MHZ DDR2 Ram. I've updated to the latest version of the bios a few months ago. It has worked very well in dual boot with the last pack of 64-bit XP and Vista 64-bit SP1 for a long time. I tried to upgrade using a clean 64-bit Windows 7 installation when I got the error Stop Multiprocessor_Configuration_Not_Supported: 0X0000003E. I tried to upgrade to Vista and XP with the same error message. I also installed a new unformatted disk and tried to install the operating system again through the CD and got the same error.

    Hi ITCoreTeam,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers community.

Test the material under test once, by contacting the manufacturer. The problem is caused due to hardware.
Cause: This situation can occur if the incorrect processor packages are used or if the BIOS incorrectly allows a processor erratum.

Download the update available in the link below and install it. It may solve your problem.

  • Mac lost during the installation of windows

When installing windows on a MAC, I deleted my partition mac completely and I am now left with windows 7 to my mac book air. Y at - it an option to install mac, I don't mind losing the windows partition

    Hello smarthala,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you deleted by mistake your Mac partition during the installation of Windows. The partition itself deleted or was it the Mac OS that has been erased, leaving an empty partition?

If the latter, you can reinstall OS X from OS X Recovery. See this article for how that should be done: On OS X Recovery
Otherwise, you can use Internet recovery (Command-Option-R, as opposed to the command-R) to repartition the entire hard drive and install the version of Mac OS X provided on your Mac. Who is finished, you can upgrade to El Capitan via the App Store > bought.

    Best regards.

  • Satellite Pro A10 stops during the installation of Windows

I have a satellite Pro A10, which stops during the installation of Windows. The installation gets to the part where I need to select the HARD drive to install, then the system off just. I can restart it immediately, and the sdame happens.

If I enter the BIOS, everything is detected OK, and I've updated to the latest version (V1.4). Also when in the BIOS, the system will remain under tension for ever and a day! and no downtime. I have a couple of diagnostic CD, then run the tests is the same thing, but I ran the seagate diagnostic tool and the HDD OK passes, as does the main map, but cannot perform detailed testing that the system shuts down during the tests.

I suspect an overheating issue but would like advice.

Hmmm it s very strange. I thought that the HARD drive could malfunctions but it of very impossible if the HARD drive has passed the Seagate diagnostic test.

However, it would be very interesting to know if the installation of the OS would end with another HARD drive.
You know, it of always difficult to provide an exact solution without any diagnostic tests.

For me, it really looks like a hardware malfunction. So perhaps it would be advisable to contact the authorized Toshiba maintainer for a control of the laptop.
Guys could run tests and would situate the fault quickly.

  • Qosmio X 500 stop during the game - but only on the external power supply!

    Hello.

Since I updated my BIOS to 2.9 I had this HUGE problem. And now, I created a user here, in the hope of my colleagues advice owners of Toshiba.

Let me cut it, as it's enough for me confused.

I bought the computer in March 2010 - is still under warranty.
I updated the BIOS from 2.8 to 2.9. I always kept my computer up to date with the latest drivers Toshiba - and is still.
But now, after update BIOS, all of a sudden, my computer shuts down, rotates instantly, as if someone pulled the cord and there is no battery attached.
But it happens that whenever I start a GPU really requiring program/application. It is not happed when I use the computer for all the days of the things or watch movies etc.

I put it well 3DVantage and of course, it crashed.

    BUT!

If I pull the rope and let it run on battery - even if the performance that comes out is less - it does not crash, never, in any game that would break if I had the string attached.

I was in touch with Toshiba service in Scandinavia - I live here and they couldn't tell me what was the problem, but they were pretty sure that it was not related to the BIOS, because while I was talking to them, I installed 2.8, and it's the same thing.

It has been sprayed, treated and some more with compressed air, and if there is no dust left, it would be like concrete. I ran the game in windowed mode, while having Speedfan running, the temperature will never be greater than 65 degrees Celsius. So it isn't heat related.
I used 3DVantage to test the CPU and see if that too would break, once again nothing.

I think the long terms of workload. The GPU goes off when the workload exceeds a certain percentage/voltage/whatever and something in the BIOS which controls it, changed or left unchanged and there for is not skilled with the rest of the updates to the BIOS.
Or maybe the problem is not BIOS related? is it something else? I'm really confused and the fact that I can use it for simple tasks, only confuses me even more - so this is only a part of the graphics card which is damaged?

Even if it is under warranty, wait 10 days (if I'm really, really lucky, like place I bought it, is not exactly known for good service condition) is the last option.

This explanation is rather long, but I'm not not short versions, and if you feel like I left something, say so, and I'll do my best to provide you with information.

    Thanks in advance!
    Nikolaj.

    > Speedfan shows also a tab called Temp1 - ACPI... It may be offtopic, but what is?
When I order the windows event log, it shows some errors about ACPI: (translated by myself from Danish)

Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) specification is an open standard and defines independent interfaces for hardware discovery, configuration, power management and monitoring.

66 temperature is not too high so I n t think that automatic shutdown of the bottom are related to temperature.

I have your case, I recommend reinstalling the OS window once more; install the operating system preinstalled Toshiba using the recovery disk.
Then check the features of the laptop. I mean that you should not install any other software before checking the laptop. In many cases 3rd party software could lead to problems of different laptop then you should check the laptop using factory settings.

  • During the installation of Windows 7 or 8.1 using a USB stick - get the message "cannot be installed, it is a GPT.

    Hello

During the installation of Windows 7 or 8.1 using a USB stick - get the message "cannot be installed, it is a GPT partition.

I have 64 bit install discs for Win 7 and Win 8.1. These two install on my desktop in duel boot. I made a Flash DRIVE of each disk so I can install it more quickly.

Problem: I get the cannot install because it is a GPT partition.

Y at - there no way to make these 2 USB sticks work?

    Thank you, Brad

Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

Your computer does not have Microsoft's Downgrade rights and you must buy a copy of Windows 7 with a valid Microsoft COA and product key.

The screenshots below is from a laptop HP 15 t-j100... options and the configuration on your computer screens may differ.

You will need to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and ENABLE "Legacy Support" in the "Configuration of the BIOS start-up secure" on the settings page similar to what is shown below, until you try to install Windows 7.

After you save the changes, the computer will ask you to confirm the changes... Accept the changes by typing the four digit code and press the ENTER"" key.

If you install Windows 7 from a USB and see a message of "load a driver - a required CD/DVD drive device is missing", it's because as 'System Configuration' > 'Config USB3.0 in pre-start' is set to 'Enabled '. This should be set to 'Auto '.

In addition, as the factory hard drive is partitioned as TPG, you must start using the internal CD/DVD UEFI or UEFI-Key/key USB to install Windows on a GPT-partitioned disk. Turn on or restart the computer and press "F9" or "ESC", then "F9" when prompted. Select the source of boot UEFI you use and you press "ENTER".

I suggest using Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media. Please note that some computers may not recognize a valid active UEFI USB Flash drive if it is formatted in NTFS and may require only a FAT32 formatted USB Flash drive. You should be able to make a FAT32 formatted Windows 7 installation USB Flash drive using Rufus, UNetbootin, Universal USB Installeror WiNToBootic. I like Rufus, because it contains options for 'Plan of GPT partition for UEFI computer' and 'FAT32'.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Please click the 'Thumbs Up' white LAURELS to show your appreciation
