Start, programs, desktop computer screen works is not in Windows 8

Hello

I bought a Dell Inspiron 17R a few months back, set it up perfectly, any issue until yesterday.
I turn on the laptop, perfectly fine.
Sign in, no problem.
Then, during my splash screen loading, all tiles are black or showing the image of another tile and when scrolling to switch between random images of the tile and her own.
Only better - when I click on one of the tiles, it flashes a black screen with a black screen with a picture of a battery half in the upper left corner and then send back me to my lock screen. I can't access my program or my desktop. My charms bar works intermittently, allowing me to search programs (although they show a different image so programs), but, again, impossible to open these programs. I can open the settings screen of the PC, but cannot access anything whatsoever.
I tried safe mode, that actually works, I can do everything from safe mode, but I can't count on safe mode, especially for the fact that I have no sound. But otherwise, safe mode works.
I also tried to perform a "clean boot", which does nothing to help the issue.
I run a full system scan with McAfee, that does no bugs or flaws with any of my own files.
Also, when I reboot the computer to get into safe mode, I get a few options. One is to "Refresh your PC" - does not work. We must 'Reset your PC' - once again, does not work. "Dell Backup and Recovery" - does not work. Then I go to Advanced Options and get even more options. "Automatic repair" - does not work. "Image system recovery" - does not work. "System Restore" - does not work.
These options give the same message:
"There was a problem. Reboot your PC to try again. It seems that something has not been loaded properly. Restarting may solve the problem. If this happens more than once, you may also be able to find help from the online search for the specific error code: 80070490. »
When I search for this code, I find reasons and solutions, that none works. I we MSConfig to run the tool updated in the system and it does nothing. Analysis and repair of finish, while having done nothing.
Please, what the hell happens to my laptop? What can I do to fix this?

Windows key + X, select command prompt (Admin), and then type sfc/scannow.  If it detects and repairs system files, run it again until no error.

Recently, I made some recommended system updates. Part of the update requires that you restart the computer after the updates. My laptop will not allow absolutely not me to put back in operation or stop my system... only put into hibernation.

I have done research on corrections and tried several unsuccessful. My last hope was to run the "clean boot" for windows 7, I did, but in the end when it should have restarted I got an error box that says "the System Configuration cannot restart the computer.

What can I do? I think that my system does not work properly because it has not been restarted because all updates have been loaded. Is there a solution?

    Thanks in advance!

    Method 1:

Check out the link and run the Troubleshooter:

    Open the troubleshooter of Performance

It is not considered a bug - it's just a misnamed former feature of computing which lasted. Therefore, it is not "fixed" in Windows 8.

  • Whenever I start my desktop computer, he goes to the BACK and informed me that my CMOS settings are false.

Help! It started to happen last week and I don't know what to do. Whenever I start my desktop computer, he goes to the back and informed me that my CMOS settings are false. How should I address this!

    original title: CMOS setting

It mahy be as simple as needing a new CMOS battery.  If you are not under warranty and have a counter top it is usually fairly easy to replace (google your computer for more information).

If that doesn't fix it, you may need to reset by removing the battery, unplug the power, remove the dough (if any) and now the power button is for one minute.

I have a new HP Envy with Windows 8 desktop computer that still does not run properly. I have rebooted, restored (im doing this), ran chkdsk, sfc/scannow, malware, virus, uninstall/install etc and my machine wil always do not run for a long time without going through some sort of problem after an hour or two.  Can anyone suggest what to do about this? I read a lot of information online on all the windows 8 and fixes bugs, etc, but anything Microsoft/Windows, which ensures its customers, a hotfix or compesating their customers with software that still works. This isn't a hardware problem, and I can't keep day and bad shooting and trying to fix the day things in?

    Sincerely,
A client who is a loss for words.
Here are some problems in no particular order.
1.) apps to not install it, and/or Windows saying they are when they are in fact not. The fix to install / uninstall, or get on the site of windows directly in general does not, and or does not at all.
The change permissions 2.) does not work on files that you should be able to access in changing oxnership, permissions, etc.
3.) Google chrome won't let me access my account of microsoft (or fact rarely) trying to access assistance. But internet Explorer doesn't?
Randomly will increase from Internet 4.) a previous connection wired to wireless to a reboot.
5.) my 8 'key' windows was only shown to me after that I have let Windows scan my machine online? Why? I paid for this... I restarted it and it says: service not available (it worked the third attempt which was 1-3 minutes after the initial analysis). Windows only showed my product ID not the key. I know that my victory. 8 was OEM when preinstalled I bought it new, but why didn't we files on it that had nothing to do with activation, appearing on dates for three weeks, or so before I bought it. What is the 'activation of the factory'?
6 :) Windows Essentials does not hang for a long time, and the troubleshooterprogram of update simply does not work (I had to go to the website to try tp operate, the bluetooth functionality is not good that there is an error.
7.) windows scan and repair gets stuck at 27% (Im not the only one with this problem).
8.), avery MS Office 2013 Disappears so often and not easy to reload "we have encountered a problem.

The computer manufacturer is responsible to see that it works properly with Windows 8. It says that it is a new computer I contact HP and make these problems their. If you don't get satisfactory results I turn and look elsewhere for a computer. Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

    Hello

    ·        You did changes to the computer before you shut down the computer?

You can try to boot from the CD and perform a disk check, and check if that helps. You will need to change the boot order in the BIOS (Basic Input/output System) and check if that helps.

Warning: Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Start Recovery console, and then run the disk check. To start Recovery console follow the link below.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314058

Note: To start the recovery console, you need the Windows XP installation CD.

Once you start in the recovery console, follow the link to perform the disk check.

You may need to contact the manufacturer for support.

  • Problem starting my desktop computer

    Hello

I would appreciate if you could help me on this.
A few days ago I took my uncle s old Acer Aspire T180 upgrade. It did come with a hard drive, but I got an old Toshiba hard drive which I plugged it in to see if it works.
(Card: 512 MB of RAM, AMD Athlon)
Problem 1) is where the problems began to occur. Startup Repair has not solved the problem. I tried to use the system repair and restore backup options, memory diagnose or Toshiba HDD repair and other options failed.
I thought that it was the hard drive, so I ordered a new hard drive Toshiba from Dell.
Problem 2) after installing the new hard drive, it says «verifying DMI pool...» Disk boot failure. "
After searching online, he leads me to the next solution I need to reinstall Windows 7.
Problem 3) I found the product key on the side of the desktop "Windows xp media Center 2005" and I tried to get on Microsoft, but it was rejected.
Then I found a download link for "Windows xp media Center 2005" I thought was an OS like windows 7 and downloaded on a usb key.
Problem 4) using the. ISO file, I tried to boot to the desktop through F12, however, the system is stuck on the message «verifying DMI pool...» »
These are the problems I have encountered, and try to counteract the problems led me to the other issue.
    Please help me.
    Thank you
    Salman
PS. I don't have the disc of windows 7 or any other disc that came with the desktop computer.

And my product key does not work.

    Hello

The most common cause of this error is an incorrect order of boot devices in BIOS. Or the HARD disk is damaged. A hard drive may become inaccessible due to read/write errors, failures or damage of virus attacks. What I can suggest is for you to follow the instructions given by Greg Carmack via this link.

This should help get your query with «verifying DMI pool...» Disk boot failure"set.

Let us know how it goes.
