Computer is only a few days old - Alienware x51.

First thing I did was install the drivers recommended to me from the dell site after entering my service tag and OS - Windows 8 64bit. The video card driver that dell told me to install was 307.07.

The next day, whilst playing a game, the screen froze and became covered in blue squares before restarting. Upon restart during the bios loading, the screen is covered in horizontal blue lines. Once bios loading has finished and windows starts trying to load the screen goes black and my monitor does not recognise my computer even though when i unplug the VGA it knows that is is unplugged. The computer will remain on with the screen black until I hold down the power button. Monitor and cable are running fine. this happened each time i tried to start the computer. After leaving it be for a few hours it turned on normally again. Thinking it was an overheating or a driver issue with my gtx 660 I installed a gpu temp program - Temps reached mid 70C during intense gaming. I also then went to the nvidia site and updated to the latest gtx 60 driver - 310.90 instead of 307.07. Around this point after installing some new apps etc i started to get constant blue screens, either - driver verifier detected violation or unexpected kernal mode trap. After removing my 3rd party anti virus and settling with windows defender this somewhat remedied the blue screen problem.

I then ran a video card stress test from the dell site. Part way through the test the screen froze with blue (and yellow/red) squares, requiring a restart. upon restart the screen had the same blue line on it and would not start. after a few goes it eventually did.

Then during a skype video call I had the screen freeze with the blue squares again before restarting itself. The blue lines appear on start up again during the bios load before the screen going black. This has stayed this way and i have not been able to turn it on.

I turned the computer on and through holding F8 navigated my way to restoring my system using the alienrespawn in order the restore my pc to how it was when it was sent to me (without the drivers I installed).

However, this did not work and i still can not turn the computer on as the blue lines appear and the screen still goes black .

Additionally, now I cant enter safe mode as I need to finish setting up windows (entering country and email etc like I had to when I first turned it on).

I have waited half a day and the same still happens - during bios load horizontal blue lines. after bios load screen goes black, computer stays on, requires forced shut down.

I have emailed tech support and am waiting on their response also.

I had the GPU replaced, and haven had any problems since.

My theory as to why the first GPU did not work, it's that the fan would not increase to cool. So when I played a demanding game it has overheated and fried.

I am using MSI afterburner with the new GPU, to set a more conservative fan speed and keep it cool.

So my laptop opened randomly my web browser with a bunch of tabs leading to a website and I don't know what is the cause. Ive used windows Defender to do as well a full and quick scan and it found nothing but the problem continues. I have also noticed that if I'm away from the laptop long enough it opens again. • Equium A100-027 - failed to start the game - problem with NVidia

First of all, sorry I had no idea where to post this.

Basically, I was downloading a game and I got a message saying "running low on disk space delete some programs".
I had no idea what half of it was then I deleted things that I don't use.
NVIDIA resembled something I don't use.

So I deleted it and my screen became tense and it seems that I blew it.
Then I accidentally restarted my laptop - so I lost all my game downloads.

Then when loading again once I got a prompt saying to insert a disc video controller.
I don't have anything, and so I chose 'I did not - find another soloution. If windows me was asking for help from Toshiba.

I guess I have to download NVIDIA and the correct version I had, which again, I have no idea.

Maybe I'm wrong? I need something!

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hello

Maybe you could tell me what model of phone you have?

    > So I deleted it and my screen became tense and it seems that I blew it.
Yes, it seems you muddled everything

    > So when load once again I had a saying invite to insert a disc video controller.
I don t know what this could mean but eventually the graphic card driver is necessary and that's why I recommend you visit Toshiba's European disk page, choose your phone model and to download and install the graphics driver.

  • Windows Home Server 2011 complete system restore problem = cannot start the LAN adapter

    Home built PC

    Card mother Gigabyte GA-Z77MX-D3H

Network adapter Atheros AR8151 PCI-E on the map connected to the LAN Cat6

    Windows Pro 10

Windows Home Server 2011 on LAN

I had a hard drive failure partial who gave no symptoms or errors except a VERY slow start-up and operation.  I tried to do a restore of the entire system of my Home Server 2011 backups to see if, perhaps, just the image was corrupt.  USB was created and all drivers copied from pilots for the full system restore folder.  Has started the full restoration of the system and loaded the missing NETWORK adapter driver by using the scanner for drivers.  Driver support was successful but no lights NIC and the message "cannot find server".  NETWORK card was working fine before, even with the bad hard drive and also after the abandonment of the restoration.  Installed the new drive hard C:-System and that was the main problem, BUT..., the later to restore attempt was always the NIC starts not problem.  Tried the driver directly at Gigabyte support and drivers drivers for the full restoration of the system of records from several different backups.  No love.  Just NIC does not start after the specified load successful pilot.

    All good advice?

How much RAM you have on your system? (Right click on "My Computer"-> properties)

As a general rule, Windows XP does not work well if you have less than 1 GB or more of RAM.  What usually happens is that your RAM capacity is exceeded leading to overflow on virtual memory (the drive) to compensate for the need of RAM in the computer.  This causes your system to beat on your hard drive and slow down your system.

If this is your problem, the options are to increase the RAM on your system or decrease the non-essential programs that launch at startup on your computer using a tool like Autoruns.
