  How can I report these warnings? I saw something in the tools-> Options area... have I missed?

  You can check these prefs on the topic: config page and if either appears "BOLD" (user set) (bold) then right click in the pref and click Reset.

• Modeless window by using the "palette" does not remain upward in CS5

  I have a problem running a modeless dialog box with CS5 (on 64-bit Windows).  My own script does not stay in place and either don't extract of SnpCreateDialog.jsx that comes with the ESTK and is supposed to demonstrate modeless dialog boxes.  I tried:

  1. From the Scripts panel
  2. Add #target photoshop
  3. Be sure that the drop down menu says Photoshop, no CTSK

  as suggested in an older discussion at http://forums.Adobe.com/message/3008230#3008230 .  (I decided to make a new discussion as this one was marked answered.)

  It also does not stay in place when moved to the folder of Photoshop Scripts and run on the file menu in Photoshop.

  The corresponding code in SnpCreateDialog.jsx is:

  If I put a breakpoint on the "return true;" line, then I see that the dialog box, in fact, was created and is visible, but he came back to win.show () and will disappear as soon as the script continues.

  A dialogue window waiting for show() end. This is what makes the modal dialog boxes. A palette window does not expect show() end. He runs the rest of the script.

  In the example you posted the entire script after the window display is return true, then ends. That is why there is no blink the window. If you put a line of $.sleep (1000) before the real return line, that display the windows until sleep wait times then the script will exit and the window will close. That's why with Photoshop palette windows are really only useful progress bars or other type of script status windows.

  Although windows palette can allow the user to intreact with application UI while the window is displayed and does not work with Photoshop. The window shows only while the script runs and Photoshop UI interaction limited a running script.

  I tested windows palette in CS2, CS3, CS4 and CS5 with the same results. The window shows only while the script is running.

  With Photoshop if you want the user to interact with the user interface you will need to create a Panel.

• Part of the script does not

  There are three values specified in a drop-down list contained in a subform. I want the dropdown value to set and the legend of a text field to be changed by a script that requires the user to respond to a question. The problem is with the definition of the value of the drop-down list itself. It does NOT change. The caption text as expected field changes and the message box is also displayed.

• Update disc. EnableUUID, the script does not

  Below, I've posted a script that I was hoping to use to add the disk. EnableUUID option for all my virtual machines. It is important to ebale suspension of application on the virtual machines made prior to 4.1.  It is not actually at work. Who wants to take a shot at figurig why?

• Vista does not START, the keyboard does not work.

  My power went out and when I turned on my PC, it says that the keyboard is disabled. I can't boot without a keyboard menu.

  I put the Vista Home Premium to reinstall disk in and nothing changes, it's still a black screen that says that the keyboard is disabled. The USB ports have power to them, and the keyboard works.

  Does anyone have an idea?

• Why the script does not when I use the action "success: Show '?

  I have a group of objects, that are initially hidden from view. I also have a button on the slide, which is configured to display this group of objects by clicking on it.

  The timeline is put on pause after 3 seconds, allowing the user to press the button to display the hidden group - but when the button is clicked the timeline resumes, I don't want to happen.

  Line no 4 and 19 shows red and the script does not run.  Help, please.  I created a similar script with numbers and it works fine but as soon as I put channels in I get errors.

• T410 doesn't start, white screen and the keyboard does not power on.

  Hi, my laptop Lenovo T410 does not start. I hit the power button and looks like it is about to start. The thinklight flashes on as normal, the cd drive is checked, the caps lock on, then nothing/button blinks. No display and the keyboard does not respond. Power led lights up; If I leave it awhile the fan turns on. Can I stop the machine using the power button, but the problem remains the next time I turn it on.

  I tried to remove power and battery, power 10 button time then with the power to 30 seconds, before replacing the power supply and the battery but nothing happens. I tried to use a different keyboard. I tried to plug in an external monitor. No change.

  This problem appeared after I left it on overnight. I have the feeling that it entered into hybernation mode, perhaps, and that it disturbed some important functions which he could not complete. Not sure if. Any help gratefully received.

  I firstly the LCD cable or secondary LED could be damaged, but if you don't see anything on an external monitor I tend to think it's a motherboard problem.

  Last thing you could try putting running a Live Distro Linux from a CD/DVD or USB drive, using Ubuntu or Linux Mint, for example.
