  With Windows 10, you have an option to sign in using your Microsoft account or just use a local account. Skip option is just below the part of the Microsoft account login. After ignoring, you will be asked to create a local account. If you don't have a password for your local account the first time that you set up, you will not receive a prompt to enter a password the next time that you open a session.

  At this point, you can try to remove the local account existing instead and create a new one without a password. So, let us know how it goes. If you encounter the same problem, it will be better if you could provide a screenshot.

  The character you are evidence is a single quotation mark or tick rather than a comma, but the character you see in reality is probably an asterisk in a mask the password text box. In both cases, the problem remains the same.

  You have a key stuck on your keyboard which instantly fills any box entry with the typed characters, they are ticks or asterisks. The only audible ringer is a normal computer error indicating that the keyboard buffer is full, but entry continues, once again an indication of a stuck keyboard key.

  I have a few here that might solve the problem.

  Step 1: perform a clean boot on the computer:

  To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  (1) perform the clean boot (check the link to perform the clean boot)

  (2) enable half the services

  (3) determine whether the problem returns

  (4) enable half of the startup items

  (5) determine if the problem returns

  (6) repeat the steps above until you find out which program or service is causing the issue

  After you determine the startup item or the service that is causing the problem, contact the manufacturer of the program to determine if the problem can be solved. Or, run the System Configuration utility, and then click to clear the check box of the element of the problem.

  Step 2:

  I suggest that scan you the file system [SFC] checker on the computer that replaces the corrupt files of the system on the computer, follow these steps.

  Download and run (Checksur.exe) system update readiness tool. After downloading this tool, it runs an ad hoc analysis of inconsistencies that might prevent future maintenance operations.

  By default Windows Xp has an administrator account which becomes hidden after you have created an account with administrator privileges. To access the admin default startup account the computer in SafeMode by repeatedly tapping the F8 key as soon as you turn on the computer and see the first screen (Hp, Dell etc., for example). The advanced options menu should appear asking you to choose the start mode of Windows in. Select Safe Mode. You should then see the option to choose: your usual account for the default Administrator account. If no password for the default Administrator account has been set, you can log on to this account, and then delete the password of your account by going to control panel > user accounts > click on your regular account > delete password. Click Ok to save the changes and restart the computer.

  Running windows 7 x 64 system opperating Kb978601 downloaded but shows it as having failed in the list of updates.

  The update shows as failed in the list updates in update from microsoft that is enabled for automatic updates.

  When I try to install the update manually it of fine movements and then comes back and says, update already installed.
