Startup startup sound is no longer

My Droid X sounds is no longer its startup notification when starting.  I can't find this particular notification function switch.  Someone else?

The startup sound you are talking about is actually the SD card notification parameter.  If you go to the setting of the sound screen you'll find.  Make sure that it is checked and you get up start you sound once again, even if it's really a notification saying that the phone found the SD card and it is reading.  I hope this helps.

  • DROID: Turn off the startup sound?

Is it possible to disable the sound of starting on the DROID? I like that I have the best phone in the history of the known universe, but sometimes I need to turn it on without announcing this fact to the whole world (as when I'm in a boring meeting at work, for example). Thanks for the help!

Plain and simple - 'yes '.

Press the menu button on the home screen

    Then 'settings '.

    then "sound" and "display settings."

    Scroll down for

"SD Card Notifications" and clear the check box.

The startup sound is in fact noted that the SD card is in preparation "mounted".

You can also set the "Notification of sounds" in this same part of 'Silent'... that silences e-mail notice and all the things that appear in the notification bar.

Is there a way to change the startup sound?

In Windows 7, the real startup sound is built-in and cannot be changed. However, to work around the problem, you can uncheck Play Windows startup sound on the sounds tab and change the sound for the Windows logon event in the list. Tim Baets

  • Take more time to start after changing Windows startup sound

I run Windows 7 Pro on a 120 GB SSD and the operating system would usually start within 15 seconds, but me being silly I decided to change the startup sound, so I downloaded a few changer it starts up and changed the startup sound. So I turned off my computer and wanted to see if it would work. The first time, it's just frozed on the Asus BIOS splash screen. So I force off and then tried again, but this time the screen off for a good 10 seconds on a terminal like screen, then in the dark for 10 seconds and then it started. I could wait the extra 20 seconds, but I'd rather not. After that, I thought it was something to do with the imageres file in system32, so I replaced by a non-screwed upward the same problem occurs.

Someone at - it suggestions on how this could be repaired?

And please don't insult me in the comments, I don't think that was the thing the smartest thing I could have done.

    Hi Austin

You must try to undo these changes.

Uninstall the changer of its start-up and restore the original imageres.dll file.

You can also view the system restore for a restore point created before these changes.

  • The VM startup slow down, delay long before the guest operating system begins startup

Evaluation of VMWare to set up the VM for the maintenance of the software. Set up a virtual machine, install Windows 7 SP1 32-bit, everything works well. Once started, the performance is excellent.

The symptom is that when you start the virtual machine, either starting from cold boot or suspend, there is a significant delay before the power of VMware on / start screen is displayed. Once it appears, the operating system starts starting (or the recovery of wakefulness) quickly and performance is normal after that. During the start-up period, the whole system is insensitive, host and guest operating system.

See the extract of newspaper below to 09:54:28.619 moment where the delay occurs followed by the entry concerning 09:55:11.625 time when start continues, a delay of 43 seconds during which nothing seems to happen and the system does not respond. After that, everything is fast.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Hello

I know what you want to say as I've seen sometimes as well. But especially on older hardware or if there are problems with regard to particular resources. For example I saw this on an ESX host (yes I know product different) where there was a problem with the storage not enough providing IOPS / s.

I saw also this on older versions of Linux (IIRC 7) workstation where the host had an Atom based CPU, there I updated to more RAM and a more recent version of the workstation and the problem disappeared.

Then I also saw it on the 4/5 merger when my host operating system was out of memory and I tried to start another operating system to prompt anyway.

I do not consider a normal behavior for the slow start and does not respond, it is an indication that the hypervisor is seeking some resources, but does not receive them fast enough.

The reasons can be many. Indeed things like antivirus could be biting you if she tries to analyze all files (including virtual disks) at their opening.

FWIW, I also understand the support response as would be expected if your host is a bit thin on the resources (for example, trying to start a VM 1 GB on a host Win7 with only 3.5 GB of RAM) and if the virtual machine runs OK after the initial startup delay, it's mostly just an annoyance.

  • Disable the startup sound.

Original title: my system sounds are disabled, but the sound log - we play at full volume when restarting. How to disable or drop at least?

Win7 32, Dell Inspiron 1525. Can I put down after he plays, but I use the computer when others are sleeping. It's pretty boring.

Thank you very much. I've been struggling with this problem for a long time. I appreciate your help. I accessed this window several times before but never noticed that the box. It was so simple and right before my eyes. I feel a bit foolish for overlooking it so many times. Thank you once again.
