Static IP behind RV220W

I'll start by saying even though I have some experience of COMPUTING, networking is not my most fort.

Picked up a pair of RV220W for a project I'm working on.  I have several available IP, of which 4 are assigned in use by a server behind the RV220W.  All 4 of these IP addresses are static external IP.  I'm trying to figure out how I can configure the RV220W so that the requests for these 4 IP get routed to the server.

Before buying it, I was under the impression that I was trying to do was called one-to-one NAT, but after reading the 'Help' document on the individual page of NAT, I don't think that is fair.  I point out below:

Cisco RV220W network Wireless N security firewall help

Firewall
One-to-one NAT
One-to-one NAT is a way to make the systems behind a firewall and configured with the private IP addresses seem to have public IP addresses.
One - to One-rule of NAT table
The following table contains the list of the available special NAT rules configured by the user.
Begin private Range: start ip address in the private IP (LAN)
Public range start: start the IP the public IP (WAN IP).
Public IP subnet mask: the subnet mask of the public IP address
The range length: length of the range maps one at a private address in the public address to the given range.
Service: this column indicates the service to be accepted by the host LAN.
The actions that can be taken on One - to One-rules NAT are:
(Checkbox in the first column heading): selects all the entries in the table.
Add: opens the Configuration specific NAT page, to add a new entry.
Edit: opens the Configuration specific NAT page, to edit the selected entry.
Remove: removes the selected entries.

So according to their literature, the server must be configured with a private IP address.  Unfortunately, one of the applications that I use is allowed per IP address, and I know that I can't use the software with private/not routable IPS.

The RV220W is capable of not only ensure the line (firewall, rules of access, content filtering, port trigering & transfer etc.) but also to do what I was hoping to do (keep the external IP address on the server and routing appropriate)?

Thanks a lot for your advice & expertise!

Because your servers must be configured with static public IP addresses, RV220W may not work for you.

RV042G supports the DMZ port, which allows the servers to be connected via a switch (labeled with "DMZ/WAN") 2nd WAN port.

You need to rethink this. I would seriously give to move Captain MSO live pages and combining it with the one already there. In this way, you do not have to worry about control separate MSOs.

  • All widgets can span width of browser?

I'm trying to get a picture in a blank publication widget span the width of the browser, but it will not. It is apparent from other conversations that other widgets overlap width of browser either. I am using the rectangular fill option and snapping the box on the edge of the browser as you would for other components, but it does not work. I know that I could place a rectangle behind the composition, but what happens if I want to fill that spans the width of the browser with a different color for each image? Simply place a static rectangle behind the composition won't give me the functionality I need.

All widgets are incapable of extending across the width of the browser? This feature will be added in the future?

    Hello

In the object library, there is an imageField that when you click on the runtime will prompt the user to select an image. You can put a static text behind it - "click here". Alternatively you could put guidelines in the field of the legend of the imageField.

  • picture in a frame floating behind the static content

    Hello

I searched online for an answer to my question for the last 2 hours and I gave the reason why I post my question here in this forum.

I have a great picture of 768 x 1500 px and stuck it in an area of content and made a scroll, frame so you can drag admirably the image horizontally on the iPad. However, it must be the background image. As I read on the internet, static content is always less than interactive content, that's why I did a MSO (multi state object) of it. For some reason, it does not. Static objects above the background drop-down image are several text boxes and under 1 text box, I have a color box so that the text appears on the color.

Can someone help me please? I'm really lost.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

You can put all the static content in the second State of the MSO with empty first State and value ASM autoplay/stop at the last state/delay = 0. Make sure that the ASM is over the frame with scrolling with the truck and has a vector format.

Or you can put each of the static objects in its own frames of scrolling, but use the same size of container and content to prevent scrolling. You will have a large background image scrolling image and 4 images of scrolling for the header, title, a white frame with text and arrows.

The "ideal solution" that you describe in your last post can be created only by using HTML5 (AFAIK).

  • Installation program appropriate for RV220W

(I'll re - ask here, because I apparently got this post in the wrong category initially)

I am currently implementing a Cisco RV220W router on the network of the company to act as a router and firewall, but I am a bit stuck.

Topology I want to reach is as follows:

[WAN]--> [VDSL of ISP modem]--> [Cisco RV220W]--> [LAN]

Our local network should have 2 VLAN; one of our servers and clients of the company (the servers are on public IPs, while customers have LAN IPs) and one for guest users (and other foreign visitors who have Internet access at home).

Our current network configuration works very well, with the help of a server firewall in bridge between the VDSL modem and the network switch (where all servers are connected), and internal users are routed via a WIFI router or another server. The RV220W will replace the WLAN router and routing servers and firewall, combining these tasks into one.

The installation of the target network would have three "zones." 1 Server (using the 213.x.x.0/26, static assignments, no DHCP IPs), LAN 2) room for the employees (cable, WIFI or VPN with PPTP - with IPs compatible with the existing configuration assigned by DHCP, 192.168.15.x/24) and 3) local LAN for visitors/customers (WIFI only, using 192.168.0.x/24 IPs assigned by DHCP).

Since the administration interface of the RV220W itself, I am able to ping outside IP addresses, but neither the test on the public IP address server or customer of test on the local IP address seems to be able to ping from the outside, or eachother (ie. local client IP to the public IP address of the server).

The Rv220W is already in router mode (ie. not in NAT mode), and the LAN ports are properly labeled for each network segment.

What could I do it wrong? Or, what would be the right way to implement?

    Kim,

Private host that lie behind the RV220W will have to be NATTED. Because private IP addresses are not routable on the internet we had to NAT that traffic in one public IP address. Now if the RV220W is behind another router that is NATTING then Yes you can turn RV220W (bridge mode) (router mode).

    How does the NAT

    How things work (NAT)

  • Instructions for managing macs w ARD on the internet (no static IP address)

Please excuse me if it's asked all the time, but I searched and can not find detailed instructions for this.

I need to manage more than one Mac, on connections to the internet, the devices will not be on the static IP, they will constantly be moving around.

All the videos I have found online seem to show how to connect and manage Macs on LANs w ARD.

    Details:

    ARD v3.8

    All Mac on El Capitan

    Very appreciated for any help!

This question is not particularly related to Apple Remote Desktop; for ARD.  This is a configuration of generic firewall and networking question, so good enough instructions for your specific firewall will work here, as long as the firewall can redirect ports - port TCP 5900, in this case - or if your particular firewall has a VPN - Firewall Server average range and high-end frequently - or if you can implement a VPN server behind your firewall and configure the firewall to forward the VPN protocols (different ports) and ports necessary for the particular VPN.

In general...  I would suggest three ways...   1: set up your firewall to port before port TCP 5900 to the client target.   Maybe TCP 5988.   Or set up a VPN server in your firewall and connect to that and use ARD via a VPN.    If you want to access more than one system on the target network, you will need to either use a range of ports to forward to specific systems behind your firewall and happens to be a problem with many customers - I don't know immediately off-hand if the ARD client allows even to select different target ports - or to set up and move to a VPN.    2: creation and configuration of the VPN server in the firewall allows access to all systems on your network target - a VPN connection makes your local system as it is directly connected to the target network.  3: If you have the VPN server running on a target system and accessible through the firewall port forwarding, this target system must always be available, and all VPN traffic is routed through this system.   It is more complex and can also be a bit difficult to set up.

If you directly expose ARD ports to the Internet via port forwarding, you'll want to either restrict the available source IP ports (to reduce the magnitude of the attackers), and you'll want to be very careful about passwords on target systems.   Ports of the ARD are detected very fluent, and several people and botnets will attempt to access the system password-baited; trying to guess the users and passwords on the target system.   Once attackers have a login and a password, they will then try to spread throughout the rest of the network.  (It's part of why I prefer to use virtual private networks).

Sierra of MacOS support PPTP VPN, so I wouldn't go with any configuration of VPN that you considered it.   I'd probably use L2TP/IPsec, because the customer is generally available in most of the other operating systems, Mac OS and iOS.

There is information available on the network ports used by Apple devices.   If you enable VPN port forwarding, there are discussions on the ports and protocols required to according to VPN you use posted around the ' net and not all firewalls is particularly good to port-forwarding, the protocols and ports VPN. "  Low-end older firewalls and firewalls tend to have problems here.

To locate on the networks of the target systems, you get to use dynamic DNS from client devices or other means to identify the public IP address that is associated with the target customer.   If customers are roaming on disparate networks and not simply roaming IP addresses on their private networks (these addresses can be fixed through DHCP configurations, too) and if you don't have access to intermediate firewalls, then you will probably have to rethink the entire approach, unfortunately.    Connection to mobile systems distance arbitrary is not especially it is possible, he must do something on the client that "tags" or "ad" its network metadata to your own server from tracking client or server monitoring of some other entity (for example messages to the DNS servers used by the dynamic DNS providers), or the management connection must be initiated from the client.    ARD does not support these mechanisms.   Discussions here can get pretty complex, too--in terms of network configuration, both in terms of security for the clients and servers.

There are a few related discussions this general topic in the forums. See here, here, here, here or here.

However, every time I close the program and start a new session, the theme on the upper part is OK, but on the background, the theme is empty, it is impossible to read the text in the toolbar, denying completely the reason for having the theme. Load a new theme or reload the current temporarily fix it, but it comes when necessary. This translates into each theme, which I've had for since a few months, animated and static alike. How can I fix?

Is it to use a light theme (Persona) in the style of the user interface with a background image?

Using an extension that covers such a theme?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit)

  • Get a static reference to decoration

Is it possible to get a static reference to a decoration? I have some tips that is represented by colorful decorations that I want to change the colors of them based on the data that I get. I know, it is possible to obtain references to the decorations in a programmatic manner, but it is something huge maintainability because it is incredibly difficult to follow the course of the program. Thank you.

I don't think you can get that directly. Check the exchange of ideas. I think that there has been a few proposals along this line.

Perhaps another approach would be to put indicators of color behind the decorations box and change the color of those. The borders of your pipe decorations would be opaque, while the Interior would be transparent to allow the squares of color to show through. The color boxes appear as standard terminals on the block diagram. With appropriate labels, they fit perfectly in the paradigm of data flow.

  • Risk of static conditions of race FPGA

    Hello

I'm fresh off a LabVIEW FPGA course and I feel have a decent understanding of him, but a co-worker on a project we start is push me for answers before I had the chance to 'play' with him.

    The questions are:

    1. How do you deal with racing conditions?

    2. How do you deal with static hazards?

My first response was I think that LabVIEW "will be on it', that data-driven paradigm of"wire"will ensure that the race conditions occur, as long as I'm not using local variables or write to the same control/indicator, in which case I'll have to consider race conditions in the same way I old No LabVIEW FPGA. Static hazards, never heard mentioned in connection with LabVIEW, so once again I assume he took care of "behind the scenes"?

The application is the streaming of data to a NI-SMU-5644R and do some calculations embedded FPGA before streaming to the modulator if it has no effect.

    Thank you

As long as you correctly follow the stream, you won't have a race condition.  But it's something to be careful.

I don't never heard of static hazards being an issue with LabVIEW FPGA.  One thing that does NOR is there buffers for each clock cycle.  This will keep the static hazards away.  Inside of a loop single-cycle timed, these pads are removed for all within a single cycle.  I don't know what OR with these, but I've never heard of him being a problem.
