Status of blackBerry Smartphones

Help

I don't see the status icon in the menu of phones, I want to reset the call time, how can I get the icon of State there.

Thank you

Hello!

Status icons? Hmmm... never seen those. However, you can get the duration of calls via:

Green phone button > BBKey > status

From there, you can BBKey again and reset the counters.

See you soon!

  • Status of blackBerry Smartphones: file: 100901956 bytes

How many bytes the phone started with and what does it represent?

    Hello

Probably 256 MB depending on the spec page:

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD memory card

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media - is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

On some devices/OS levels, you can see 'Free file' (Options > status), I think this is equivalent to AppMemory. You can see on other devices, all the memory usage levels three (Options > memory). Here are some tips to use:

Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

    Good luck!

  • Unknown status of blackBerry Smartphones

I have a BlackBerry Storm and I do not know what you the how to display status indicators. At the top, in the Middle, under the date and time, I have a 5 (this number was originally a 1, but it has now been incrementing for awhile), followed by a blue square. To inside the blue box is what looks like a tiny white f (sometimes looks like a small t with a red & white on circle to the right - there's a f, with a red circle that covers the top of the page offer of right of the letter).

I looked in the manual online and updated road guide and do not see anything like that. I called Verizon tech support, and they have no idea what it is. Please note: this isn't an indicator of an e-mail, voicemail, SMS, etc - I know not what they are, and this isn't one of them.

    Help?

    Thank you very much

PLEASE PLEASE HELP... THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE FOR CARL

Well, it's a shame... OK... your next method is as follows:

    (1) get a new download to the computer, the RIM Desktop software:

    (2) to download a new copy of your package to your carrier OS device (on your PC):

    (3) install the software on your PC Desktop (or just make sure the latest version that you downloaded, is what is already installed on the PC)

    (4) install (also on your PC), device OS package (make sure you have only one package of peripheral OS installed on the PC, and that one injector appropriate for this level of carrier/BB/OS specific).

    (5) download and install (always on the PC) BBSAK (bbsak.org)

    (6) try to get BBSAK to find the BB via USB to the computer. This may take several tries, try with the BB in various stages of trying to start, connection and unplug the BB via USB and using processes 'kill' in BBSAK between two attempts.

    (7) once BBSAK find the BB, wipe the BB and reload the OS

If all goes well, who's going to make things again.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Unknown status of blackBerry Smartphones / notification

I just got a new indicator status / notification appear on my screen and I don't know what it is or how to get rid of - hope someone can help me please!

It is a small black circle, white outline, with a white arrow pointing into it - the arrow comes from the upper right in the circle, with the tip of the arrow in the center of the circle. There the Red Star / new symbol notification on this topic as well as a '1' next to it, just as a text / email notification etc. I opened all my apps to see if it goes away, but it's not. I also checked the user guide, but once again, nothing.

    I hope someone can help.

The notice says you have an application that you previously downloaded or purchased in App World > My World, which is ready for an upgrade on your device. Look there for the upgrade.

To clear the notification on the screen, find the alert message in your main folder, read or delete it.

I think that the indicator is to tell you that your listener on the device is turned on.  When you switch to the speaker (alt + $), disappears and the speaker icon appears in the upper left corner.

    Hope this info helps.

    Thank you!

Then you can try upgrading the BBM to the latest version available for your device?

Make that first make a local backup of your BBM contacts, after backup, delete or uninstall any existing version of your BlackBerry. On your home screen, go to Options > Advance Options > application > BlackBerry Messenger > delete BlackBerry Messenger of this list (highlight BBM press on the menu key and select delete)

KB10040 : How to view or delete the application installed on a blackberry smartphone

Once it is perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered, wait a min, then reinsert back.

Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the latest available for your device.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

  • BlackBerry Smartphones something happening to my text messages.

Hello.  I'm new here and this is my first post.

Last week, I receive text messages that disappear before I had the chance to read.  In addition, people have told me they sent me text messages, but I never.  I sent text messages to myself from another phone just to confirm that I am receiving them and that they are removed until I get to read.  Even when I delete everything in my Inbox, I still have the same problem.  My phone also receive emails and SMS.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    J

You are facing constraints of memory in your device. Perform the following steps-

    1. Give a soft reset by removing the battery for 30 sec.
    2. Check the amount of memory is free in your device to Options -> status -> free memory. To view all aspects of database go to Option -> status -> click on the Menu button and then select the database size
    3. Remove the less frequently used application. To remove go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> highlight the application you want to delete-> click Menu , and then select Remove
    4. If you stored your image in the memory of the device to move them to your media card

    Check the below knowledge base-

Call logs and SMS disappear when the BlackBerry smartphone is low on memory

E-mail messages are removed from the BlackBerry device
