Stereo recording as 2 files recording?

Hi all.  I'm a newbie and have been recommended hearing to help with support of tape.

Must register the Office of adjudication and performance at the same time. The referee gives his comments on one channel and the performance of the other channel.

What I want to do is save them as separate files.  Is this possible with hearing and if so how?

I use CS6 with Windows 10. There is an entry with 2 microphones using a Capture of Quad of Roland.

Thanks in advance.

Open your waveform file. Then go to Edition > extract channels to Mono files. Save each separately - you're done.

Audacity? Do you mean the hearing?

I think you'll have a little difficulty to do this anyway, as the clocks of scanning in the pickups will not be synchronized. Which means that even if you can get two of them work, elimination will be in every sense. You can persuade two microphones to work at the same time without too much difficulty, but this only works if you have two independent sources that do not have to have any kind of relationship of phase, and it is the relationship of phase which actually do stereo work.

There is, as far as I know, only decent stereo micro USB, and the Tricapsule Yeti, one blue. It crosses all phase problems in having everything digitized by the only encoder, so all the problems of phase are sorted completely.

Basically, I can change the audio channels via the remote control, but the only channel I can operate is a horrible English dub!

    Thank you

    Hello

In my opinion, you should check first if the same question would appear from different sources.
I mean, you should check 5.1 movies playing appearance of DVD and BD discs that support 5.1

In addition, you should check the manual for the video/audio codec and file format supported by using the USB interface.
To my knowledge, not all formats are supported!

    Hello

    I have a P870-31N (PSPLFE) I have bought recently, running Windows 8.

Yesterday I connected my line of digital pianos to the line-in/microphone jack, using a stereo cable.

I was unable, however, to get a stereo recording.

I used the exact same configuration with another laptop (a Sony Vaio) and was able to record in stereo without any problem.

I looked through all the options of the control panel for the realtek sound card, downloaded and installed the latest drivers from the Toshiba site, all to nothing does not.

The manual indicates the 3.5 mm mini-plug lets you connect a mini-jack 3 drivers for stereo microphone input.

Can someone tell me how to make this work?

    Thank you

    Hello

I suppose that taking microphone laptop s does not support the feature line.

3.5 mm on this laptop microphone allows the connection of a 3 drivers for stereo microphone input mini-jack.

So you can plug in an external microphone into this Jack, but don t think you could use this and record the audio stream

  • A recorded waveform appears shifted?

I recorded a song playing on an internet site directly on my computer using hearing CS6. The waveform appears shifted, but only the negative side. The negative side of the wave has a greater amplitude. The piece plays normally, however and is not a bad sort. Does anyone know what it is or if I should be worried? Nobody knows what's my line? It is the first time that has happened to me.

    Shifted Waveform.jpg

Assymetric record is not uncommon - a large number of instruments produce waveforms like that naturally, and is the human voice. Only interesting thing is that almost all cases (because of the way the waves pass through air) the assymetry is generally the opposite - the biggest summits are positive.

Another thing that can cause asymmetric waveforms is a DC offset - but looking at the end of your file, it doesn't seem to be something important happens in this direction. The only thing I think you have to do is to invert the signals. It is possible that some previous treatment may have caused this, obviously - but unless it happens with every single record you make, there isn't really anything else to do.

  • Can arm for record

    Hi all

I use Audition 2.0 for a while now, and it has been generally smoothly until recently.  He always ignored when I was recording, but I attributed this to my sound card, so I lived with her.  But last night after that I messed around with the edit-> Audio Hardware Setup, I could not arm to record more.  Anytime I tried to press the arm for record button, nothing happens.  It remains Gray and never turns red.  The thing is, this happens only in a project.  If I open a new session or old log, I can arm themselves for registration.

But I don't want to open a new session, because I've worked on this session for some time.

I searched on the net, and surprisingly, I have not found someone with the same problem.  Is there someone who could not arm for record here?

    Thank you

On each track, in the input box (right pointing arrow) you see your selected entry named?  For example, mine says now "[s] Microphone" (stereo recording on built at the microphone".

It is possible to have a line-input/output stereo or mono only?

    Hello

As far as I know the line output (headphone jack) allows the connection of stereo headphones (16 Ohm min.) or a different audio output device. When you connect headphones, the internal speaker is automatically disabled. The input line (Jack Microphone) allows to connect a monaural microphone or other audio input device.

  • Is it possible to set the stereo output to mono in Windows 7

Stereo to mono in Windows 7

I looked everywhere in the settings of the sound and the accessibility settings in Windows 7. I can't find THE settings for the computer stereo sound to MONO.  I have the card REALTEK sound integrated on my Gigabyte motherboard.  I checked the settings as well.  The ONLY thing I've been able to do is to change the balance, and it does not solve my problem.  You see, I'm deaf in my left ear, so stereo records that I listen to with headphones on, I miss a lot of the sounds within the music or movie or whatever I'm listening.  On my Mac, all I have to do is click on a button in the settings, and the computer will play the stereo sound from TWO speakers, which is what I want on my PC.  I can't believe that this feature is not available in Windows 7.  Any ideas?

Right-click on the volume icon in the taskbar > playback devices > select device > configure > choose Mono > then click > click on finish

is theres another longer way to do this too just make a single lane on the spot but still running two-speaker MONO BAM

  • How to complete the two channels of a stereo track in a mono track?

I have recorded on the L channel a stereo recording with the interviewer and the interviewee has recorded on the channel of a. I applied the two fill 'right' and 'left fill' to the runway, then cut and switch between the two, when appropriate. However, when they are all two talk, I'd like that the two channels to be active, but not as a stereo track (because otherwise the sound is actually mono) and turning on the two "fill right" and "fill left" at the same time seems to feed each channel at 50% instead of 100%, at least that's what I guess since there is a significant drop in level.

    Any suggestions? I'm on CS6.

OK, here is the solution I've worked.

I created a new track to mono submix at the bottom of all my songs. In the Audio Mixer Panel, I remapped my stereo audio track to go to the mono submix track before going to the master. This forces all the audio out as that mono the end, which is exactly what I was looking for.

For what it's worth, one track stereo padding right or double left audio and is stronger then the railway normal stereo, even if she plays two audio channels, they don't add to the intensity of the double mono. I just applied a + 4dB gain stereo sections to compensate for this.

  • Stuttering playback of mono ogg-vorbis files

    Hi all

I recently bought a Sansa Clip 4 GB and updated to the latest firmware (v02.01.32a). I am happy to use obb-vorbis files, but have met stuttering playback when you listen to mono ogg-vorbis files. In particular I listen to an audiobook on librivox.org page:

    http://LibriVox.org/Walden-by-Henry-David-Thoreau/

The first ogg file works, but all others stutter. After a bit of inspection using ogginfo, I discovered that the first file is stereo, while the remaining files are mono. I tried to re - encode using oggenc as Audacity using the nominal flow of 80 Kbps. All mono files I did expose the problem of stuttering.

I then did a stereo version of the file by duplicating the mono track in Audacity. The stereo file I did read correctly. Creating a file mono downmixing the stereo file new work with oggenc produces a file that stutters during playback.

All files read correctly in Windows Media Player with the official DirectShow filters installed.

Anyone else having this problem or know of a work around? I really want to use ogg format!

    Thank you

    Tyler

I decided to reformat and reinstall the latest firmware (using the MSC approach instead of the update of the firmware on Windows). All the ogg files play correctly now.

    Thanks for the encouragement!

  • Windows 7 does not allow you to copy tapes through the USB to the computer... need help!

I bought a cassette/converter of Grace Digital Audio Player to convert cassettes to MP3 files on my computer (HP laptop Pavilion DV 7/Windows 7 64-bit). Directions say to just plug into the USB port, press Play on the machine and press Record on the Audacity software.  It copies the music... and all the other noises in the room.  I tried to disable the microphone from the computer... but then it won't copy the music at all.  I called the manufacturer of the product through and they say it's a Windows 7 problem.  So, how can this work?  Thanks for any help you can give me...

    Hello

    Follow the steps mentioned below.

    (a) plug one end of the audio cable into the headset of your cassette player or 'Line' jack out and the other end into 'Micro' of the sound card on your computer or "Line in" jack. To avoid any possible damage sound card, use if possible 'in Line' decision and not the "Microphone".

    (b) launch Audacity and change the type of entry 'in Line' or 'Microphone', depending on what jack of the soundcard you are using. This indicates Audacity to record everything he "hears" the map of sound input. To do this, open the menu editing, then Preferences. You will then see a screen that should do what you need: use the "Device" selector to choose your entry (sound card, microphone, audio jack, etc.) and change the 'Channels' selector to choose between mono or stereo recording.

    (c) press the record button on Audacity, then press play on your cassette (red circle).

    (d) press the stop (yellow square) on Audacity when the tape is finished playing.

    (e) use the menu option "file-> export to WAV" to save your record. The WAV file can be saved on your computer, converted to MP3 or burned on a CD. Get fancy with the Audacity audio editor features: you can cut, paste and add effects easily.

You must save a clip of ten seconds at first, so that you can play it will immediately return in Audacity (green triangle button) and make sure your volume levels is good. If the audio recorded is too strong or too static, decrease the volume of your cassette player.

  • Reassign single channel in 5.1

Some time as Cool Edit 2.1 and I have barely used Adobe Audition, if have forgotten a lot.

Can someone give me (or point me to) a step by step guide to take a single track of a stereo recording and copy and paste in one of the 5.1 channels surround.

Conversely, if I have 5.1 discrete channels from a DVD, etc. is it can easily make a stereo mix of this? If I just use the FL and FR channels since the 5.1 mix these includes all sub information normally routed to the subwoofer - even the RL and RR information?

Problem now is that the resulting downmix were dedicated to cutting such as confirmed by window > Amplitude statistics. I could standardize the entire file at-0.1dB after descending mix, but I'm afraid I have will have lost all the information that is now outside the clipping limit. Or I could mitigate all channels before as I perform the downmix and try to get the resulting amplitude in the correct downmix by trial and error. It seems to me that there must be a way to do it intelligently (i.e. ensure the downmix is wrong in cutting first place), but I don't know how to do this.

Assuming that it is a 32-bit FP session you mix down, no matter if she clips. Yes, I know that may sound a little weird, but floating-point mixdowns are put on the scale, and the concept of "0 dB" does not exist in their breast. You might have the file overloaded 30 DB, and if you it normalized in wave form, he came out perfectly. The only reason you must operate below 0dB in multitrack is because your audio device (in a physical form) can not do in the face of all that above 0dB and distorts. Yes, there is finally a limit to how far you can go with that - but it is of + 1500dB. No, this isn't a mistake!

The answer to your question on the SB is that you need, in edition > Preferences > Audio Channel Mapping to make sure that other file channels have little material to feed (the choice is in the twirldowns on the RIGHT side). At this point, you should be able to allocate to each track to go where you want, in the track controls.
