stop other users

I have an iPhone and my wife has a Samsung phone. Although we share a desktop iMac computer. Usually, I keep my phone charged up on the desktop by cable, whenever my wife sign the office, my pictures are there for her to see, how I can't leave him or other users to see the photos in my iPhoto?

You need to set up a separate OS X accounts for you and your wife.

  • Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition "scan stopped by user" message after you have installed the latest update of Microsoft Security

I run Symantec AntiVirus Corporate edition 2002 (build version 8.00.9374). The following problem, I discovered yesterday (May 13) when my analysis system and antivirus weekly update is scheduled: from an analysis of the system, the scan box opens and immediately stops, displays the message "scan stopped by user", followed the date & time and all control buttons are grayed out (not functional) with the exception of the close button.

The only change that took place in my PC has been the download and installation of the most recent update Security for Windows XP (KB978542) which is described as: "critical Microsoft Security Bulletin MS10-030 - vulnerability in Outlook Express and Windows Mail could allow Code execution (978542) remotely.

  • How to block other users to access your folders in user name?

    For my own personal safety

How can I block my user name folders of other users on my computer and my network without my account corrupt on me?

I tried to do for some time now, and somehow something always corrupts on me.
First of all, I went into my username, properties, security and denies access to anyone else, but then I somehow, it corrupt on me.
So I have that challenge by creating a new account and transferred all my data on the
Then I have my new username of another user account click right and shared with anyone...
but then I couldn't access it either so I unstapled who.
    Now, I'm at square one...
    Can someone help me please?

Unfortunately, they are admins and Yes at the start they received rights but is there a way I can cancel that...

and that is how should I go about setting up as the encryption?
Third, they don't go as deep into the search for something. The problem is, if its there they go out. If not, no probs. So, how can I block em to get addition by clicking on properties and set the folder that hidden?

If they stay admin users, nothing you can do other than encryption technically.  And if they go poking around and either don't know what they do (or do and are cruel) while they could spoil encrypted files you have and your ability to access them once again (unless you are wise enough to save the external encryption key).

All you have to do is enter and change their user accounts to Plains old standard users instead of administrators (account type).  They will no longer be able to go anywhere on the computer, they will not be able to install things - the scale of the system and it is possible that some things might stop working for them depending on how some programs installed.

If it were me - I create two administrative accounts, password protect and remove all others of the Administrators group.  No one should use the computer every day as an administrator.  (Why two?  In case one becomes corrupt or something else happens).

  • How to stop other admins to access files

I was wondering if other admins on my computer can access my files (my user account is admin also)? If so, how can you stop other administrators to access your files?

    Thanks :)

With administrator privileges, you can access any file, which is that of an administrator account.  The only way to stop other accounts is to make the non-administrateurs and limit them to their files only.

  • stop ID10T users of abandonment downloads by shutting down the computer or put it to sleep

    Key issue:
Short of locking all users of the computer, is it possible to use my admin account to stop temporarily to other users of the computer is shut down, put to sleep or into hibernation mode? At least until that I get home from work?

    Explanation:

Normally, all users should be able to put the computer into standby or turn off the console. I want that way normally. However, I share the computer with other people in the House and must work full time, leave the computer unattended during the day.

For the last three days, I tried to download a LARGE file from a slow server an approximate time of 6 hours. Oh, to add insult to injury I can't the server let me resume a download. To allow the user to get on the computer while I'm at work and by downloading the file, I used Fast User Switching (name of the XP, in case it's called something different to 7) to put the computer on the Welcome screen, while my regular account download.

For the past two days, despite myself, leaving a note saying: 'Do NOT stop the computer or put it to sleep', when I got home from work, the computer was off, and the download was incomplete. I got an explanation "you were always telling me to stop when I'm done, I did not forget at this time." Then today I started downloading two hours ago and was only asked "could I please verify my email address?", so I donnГ the computer. When she was done, she put the computer to sleep, which was just as bad as l ' turn off as much as to cancel the download.

Short of locking all users of the computer, is it possible to use my admin account to stop temporarily to other users of the computer is shut down, put to sleep or into hibernation mode? At least until that I get home from work?

    Hello

You need to be logged in as an administrator.

    Follow the steps mentioned below:

    (a) open the Start menu, type secpol.msc in the search line and press ENTER.
    (b) to expand local policies in the left pane, and then select user rights assignment.
    (c) in the right pane of the user rights assignment double-click Shut down the system
    (d) select (highlight) listed (s) or group (s) that you will not be allowed to turn off the computer more and then click Remove.

NOTE 1: You can press on and hold down the CTRL key to select several listed users and group.
    Click on apply.
Note 2: Windows 7 Pro and Ultimate have secpol and gpedit.
  • Migration oracle db user of an operating system to any other user of system operating in an environment of rhel 6 with oracle 11.2.0.3.0

    Hi all

Migration of oracle db user of an operating system to any other user of system operating in an environment of rhel 6 with oracle 11.2.0.3.0.

Suppose I have a database running with os user user1

I have another user user2 where I want the database runs and not on User1

Please let me know how to achieve this goal,

    Thank you.

Have you looked on the MOS for this?

I thought to do exactly this, but ultimately I didn't actually accomplish. Despite the fact, it may be an interesting feature...

    Something like this:

S ' ensure that two users are members of the same groups

    -Database stop

-As the former owner, change the ownership of all files in Oracle Home, inventory of the Oracle and all data files, to the new. On Linux/Unix, only the owner (and root) can change the ownership of files, so all files/directories not belonging is not to the former user, will obtain authorization refuses, legitimately so. The new user for example cannot 'take' the files, because they are not his. Only the old can 'give' files. Of course, root can do as well, if you have this permission.

-Configure the new user to set up the environment correctly (ORACLE_HOME,..)

    -Start of the database

-Do NOT remove the old user of the system, but do not give him a different password

    That's what I think

I think that the API documentation and post from Martin fully cover the effects on the current 'session' ("motion" would be a more accurate term). Is there something specific that's bothering you?

apex_application.stop_apex_engine has no overall control on the APEX or the current session (see + {: identifier of the thread = 2401000} + for the previous discussion on this). It stops simply later APEX page for the current request processing. This is necessary because you want to send the contents of a downloaded file, or redirect to a new resource, does not display a page APEX.

+ This section allows you to adjust the level of access rights with other users to view and update process queries that are started by users in a specific profile. Display and update rights can be changed of owner, all, or none. The default value allows process asks to be read by all and updated only by the owner. If you view by owner, no one else can view the status of the process in process monitor. Make the necessary changes to user rights. +
