storage capacity of the battery

I've got a massege on my windows 7 64-bit this one starts "storage of the below battery capacity is very low for optimal performance, this battery may be replaced..."

Try the procedure described in the following links to check if the battery is not working properly or not depending on the operating system installed on your system:

I have a HP Envy Ultrabook, who settled with Windows 7.  When I tried to turn it on today, it not light.  I think it was just short of battery connected and received the message, "the system has detected the following battery storage capacity is very low.»  For optimal performance the battery may need to be replaced. »

Once logged into my account, I noticed that the battery was "connected, but does not charge."  I tried many remedies online, as the battery method Microsoft ACPI compatible control the uninstalling and turning and turn it on again.  But nothing seems to work.  I even checked to see if it was a problem with Windows 7, and I saw that Windows 7 eats battery life very quickly, but I don't think it happened the day after like me did it.  I was able to use it for 4 hours without recharge yesterday until my battery has reached 10%.

  • When the capacity of the battery falls Satellite Pro U300 occasionally lose power

    Hello

I suspect you have a defective battery (standard installed on the laptop) on my new Satellite Pro U300 - 11 k and I wonder if someone had a similar problem.
When the power drops to 10%, my laptop occasionally loses power. In the range of less than 7% capacity always loses power, i.e. either fails to start the hibernation, or is unable to complete the process (I can always tell if power was lost during hibernation because of the characteristic of the system of protection HD sound). I did several tests, especially in the power saving mode. "High performance" mode power seems to be a little more reliable, but still fails to shut down less than 5% of the capacity. The level of Hibernate by default on the Toshiba Windows Vista pack is as low as 2%, so I can wait until it is able to work at this level.

Overall the battery capacity is about 1 h (Media Player, fashion high performance, maximum intensity) at all about 2 to 2.5 hours (slowed or text editor, mode, brightness low power saving). Charging time is about 1 hour (seems too short). They are difficult to objectively assess that Toshiba avoids quoting the specifications of the battery, but I consider the question of the reliability of the above as being a serious (do not want to take the risk of damaging the HD). I am considering visiting the service center, but leaving both the computer and the battery with them would be a nuisance for me and I would rather avoid it if I can. I wonder if I can claim the warranty on the battery alone?

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

    Background information:
-The U300 is a few weeks old.
-The battery has been fully charged and discharged (approximately 15 times since purchase).
    -Cooldown takes 1 h - 1.5hrs
    -J' using Vista Business
-J' went through the power settings to make sure they are ok and to change threshold levels
-I am an experienced business user, I use a laptop computer at work which stops always perfectly to the power level of 3%

    Thanks for help

Reading your post, I do see no battery issues! Everything you say is right and not a malfunction.
Please note that the Vista operating system needs much more computing resources and the battery is much more emphasized running Vista!

Please also note that the level and time to discharge the battery can be different! Everything depands of the use of the laptop!
All the portable devices and parts waste the power of the battery at the same time and that's why there are differences in the discharge procedure.

Don t be afraid and take advantage of your laptop but if you think you will need to contact the ASP in order to clarify this issue, then feel free to contact service technician.
They should be able to help you.

  • Problem with the capacity of the battery on Equium A210

I bought my Equium A210 in January 2008. He had a cracking of the 2.5hours autonomy until about a week there (like coincidentally about the time that the BIOS has been updated by alert Toshiba Tempo). It is now only a charge for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

I have always followed the instructions in the manual on works on battery, then in charge, do not leave it on area etc. Can someone tell me what to do - is the battery covered by a warranty, etc., and who should I contact about this.

    Hello

Generally the duration of battery life depends on the use of the laptop. If you run applications of high performance such as games, DVD movies, graphics applications the battery power faster discharge.

It seems very strange that the laptop needs more energy after that the BIOS updated.
However, if you think that there is a problem with your battery then contact ASP in your country for a control

  • Storage capacity of the material shows less LUN capacity

We have created a 350 GB LUN (shown as 349,9 GB in the SAN management software). When it is presented to the host of the ESXi5, the ability is showing that 325,96 GB. This is about a difference of 25GB, which willl add up while we present more LUNS. Is this normal? ESXi resembles the LUN capacity differently than does the SAN?

Thank you very much in advance for any help. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Your SAN management software not interpret "350GB" as a binary multiple (2 ^ 10) but as a multiple of base 10 (10 ^ 3), so it has a LUN with a size of 350000000000 bytes. ESXi, like any good piece of software, using binary notation, which means 350000000000 equal to 326 G 'binary' (i) B bytes

  • How to drain the battery is considered as normal?

I bought a MBP 15 "(MacBook Pro with the Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), Core i7 2.5 GHz, 16 GB of DDR3 memory) in January 2016." Although this particular model has 9 hours of wireless web browsing, I find his behaviour pretty weird lately.

Right after the purchase of this piece which I could flaunt, I tried to measure his performance of the battery because it is one of their main selling point. As a test, I have that YouTube and the video stream with audio turned on at full volume in Safari (as he called to be optimized on Chrome/Firefox) for continuous 1 hour. To my delight, I found that 10%-11% of the battery charge has dropped. Twice I've tested, the result was invariably the same. Yesterday I repeated once more the same 'experience '. The battery got decreased by 13%-14% in two innings.

Now-a-days, if I keep open Safari, do certain amount of browsing the web, use Google docs/sheets, Facebook, streaming video (no Flash, games, etc.), the battery drops about 20% in an hour. Point to note that I have installed a lot of software to exercise fully the potential of the machine, but only a handful of those, for example, Dropbox, Little Snitch run as a background service consuming little cycles CPU.

As you can see, the battery drain went from 10% to 11% to 20% with a bit more of its use. This essentially translates to 5 hours of computing with a fully charged battery.

If I followed the amperage, the full capacity of the battery (9 full cycles up to now) is approximately 8600 ~ mAh. Theoretically, to offer 9 hours of battery life, the amperage must be about 955 mAh, while, with the above mentioned usage profile, he gushed to-(1400-1500) mAh for no reason.

I apologize for writing a long post. In the end, my question is if this drainage is normal? Earlier, I used a 13 "MBP (no graphics card) for a month, the battery life is impressive (about 7-8 hours at full load). That's what I expect from my new MBP that is twice as expensive. I'm sorry if I look like whining, but you understand very well how he feels a (so-called), a device does not promise and you've already spent your hard earned money.

Battery run time as announced by Apple is measured with the help of non-intensive resource settings that simply do not represent its actual use.  I have never achieved the results announced and that I never thought I could.  I just use the MBP for my needs, is not to see if I can reproduce the hype of Apple.

According to what you wrote, it seems that your results are normal for what you do.  I don't see that you have a problem.

    Ciao.

  • Satellite U940 - decrease in the life of the battery with Windows update 8.1

Hi, before the upgrade to windows 8.1 would usually get about 4 to 5 hours of battery use. However, after the update to windows 8.1 which significantly reduced to about 1.5 to 2 hours to do the same exact things without any change. I contacted toshiba who provided me with a spare battery, but this issue has not changed. I followed to the letter on the 8.1 update following the instructions.

I'm not really good with computers, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

It is not easy to say what the problem is here. In front of me, I have U940-103 with Win8.1.
Three weeks ago I ve updated original Win8 preinstalled with Win8.1 and after battery test I didn t notice any difference.
With full battery, I can watch two movies without problems so with full battery, I can use my U940 Satellite 4 hours.

It is not easy to tell if the reason for the low capacity of the battery is Win8.1.
I don't know if you want to do this, but it will be interesting to know if something will change if you reinstall original recovery image.

  • Satellite A660-17 t - PC Health Monitor shows the problem with the battery

I have an A660-17 t I've had since November 2010, I used a good amount, but not always on the battery, I believe that the battery has between 10 and 20 on this charge/discharge cycles.

I have updated the BIOS to v1.80 when I got the laptop, everything seemed to go well. Recently, in the last 2-3 weeks health monitoring software reports that the battery is in poor health, showing that the capacity is reduced to 40% of the original capacity. I do not believe this like when I work on battery I get several hours of use.

I have today updated BIOS v1.90, although there is no changelog that I can find, he says just "enhanced features" or similar.

Is this really a faulty battery, or it is somehow that the software correctly reads the value of the capacity of the battery due to a change in Windows or another change in the system? I don't see how a battery can work for the same amount of time it has always done and actually have a fault.

Any thoughts? Should I return it to the retailer and report an outage, or is it worth the wait to see if a future update of operating system or driver solves this problem?

    Thoughts welcome!

    Hey,.

    > I do not think this as when I work on battery I get several hours of use.
This means that you have the same time remaining on battery as before you saw the error of the integrity PC monitor?

In this case, it seems that the battery is ok and it's maybe s simply the wrong tool of Toshiba information. Then I recommend to reinstall PC Health Monitor, which you can download from the official website of Toshiba:

  • Need help with calibration of the battery

    I have a Vn7 - 591 g and it's basically old 1.

My problem is my laptop stop without noticing low battery notification and without any warning since I updated my windows 10 November pro build.

First, it would close down to the level of 15% without indication battery and then I looked at here and there and find the calibration procedure as I tried battery as the load calibration procedures to 100% in stop and go in safe mode and let it drain and recharge again, after the fact that now he stops at the level of battery by 30% or 25% without notice or warning.

I tried battery reset thing pinhole also as suggested somwhere in this discussion.

One thing I noticed when I put my laptop power in High-Performance option, low battery, that it just goes right into hibernation but when I plug in the AC adapter it shows battery 0% or 1%, and perception.

so is it problem in my battery or Power Options or the problem is another?

Any help will be appreciate and please answer quickly because I am sad with this problem. It is a one year old laptop around, I bought new.

    Hello

Well, the wear level is quite high for a laptop one year old. Do you often use on the farm?

It is interesting that hwmonitor reads the same amount as that of windows, stop so suddenly, because of the battery not calibrated... I don't think so. It may be the case even if the PCI that controls the battery charging does not correctly read the State. That would mean that you would need to change the battery (the peak is on the battery).

You can try to run battery Eater: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/Battery-Eater-Pro.shtml

This software will monitor your battery while meeting and then make a graph of it after a reboot. I don't remember if trace the graph based on the percentage, or the actual capacity of the battery.

You can read more about what the software did here:

    http://Lifehacker.com/5657275/battery-Eater-benchmarks-your-batterys-capacity-so-you-know-what-to-ex...

Also, would probably be a good idea to see if what happens on another operating system as well. For example, you can try to make a USB boot Linux, ubuntu and check if your laptop suddenly stops at the same percentage values. If it is not the case, which is probably something just with windows.

  • Use of AC when the battery is at 100%? (S7-391)

    Hello world!

I have been affected by the worst support from Acer, I have no problem with the ultrabook himself (Acer Aspire S7-391) but I have some doubts about pilots and other things, that they have avoided answering many ways. So, here's the thing:

This ultrabook has all drivers that could be use the AC power when the battery charge reaches 100% to avoid tampering with the battery?

The thing is that while I have 100% of the battery and the ultrabook is connected to the power adapter, it always seems to be draining the battery power and recharging it back to being 100% all the time.

When I ask about the drivers, who might or might not be installed, I just need to find a way to access this functionality if possible, and if I can't, I need to know as soon as POSSIBLE so that I can start unplug the laptop right after that the battery has reached 100%.

    Thanks in advance.

As you said with Connector 2 power pins can also disconnect the battery charge. It can disconnect the power supply from the battery charging circuit when the battery reaches a particular % with the laptop running load in power cables. I do not think that your computers support portable setting the level of charge of battery to a % custom. Your laptop must have a particular hardware and BIOS that supports. In some laptops, the BIOS has the ability to define a particular % of battery charge. I read somewhere that windows 8 do not support this feature, old version of windows (Vista) support this feature.

Some write up I found online to help you.

    Memory effect

First of all, it is necessary to unfold a myth that persists in the minds of many people.

    The effect of stack memory.

In the basis of lithium batteries, it is in fact a myth, it applies only to the old nickel-based batteries. Therefore fully discharge and recharge the battery are completely useless and even harmful as discussed below.

The modern lithium battery can be charged independently of its current percentage, because he has absolutely no negative effect in his performances.

Should I remove the battery when the a/c is connected?

Many users of portable computers have this question and we will answer it right now:

The answer is: YES and NO, it depends on the situation.

Have a fully charged battery and the laptop is connected is not harmful, because as soon as the load level of 100% of the battery stops receiving the energy load and this energy is shorted directly on the power of the laptop system.

However, there is a downside to keep the battery in the holder when the laptop is plugged in, but only if he currently suffers from excessive warming caused by the hardware of the laptop.

    So:

    -In normal use, if the laptop does not get too hot (CPU and hard drive around 40 ° c to 50 ° c) the battery must remain into the Jack of the laptop;

-Intensive use, which leads to a large amount of heat produced (i.e. games, temperatures over 60 ° c) the battery should be removed the socket in order to avoid unwanted heating.

The heat between the fact that he has 100% load, is the great enemy of the lithium battery and not the plug, as many might think so.

    Battery discharging

Full battery discharges (until the computer laptop power shutdown, 0%) should be avoided, because he insists a lot on the battery and may even damage it. It is recommended to perform partial discharge to levels of capacity of 20 ~ 30% and frequent accusations, instead of performing a complete discharge followed for a full charge.

Laptop PC battery contain a gauge of capacity that allows us to know the exact amount of stored energy. However, due to the charge/discharge cycles, this sensor tends to be inaccurate overtime.

Some laptops include in their BIOS, tools to recalibrate the battery meter, which is nothing else than a full discharge followed by a charge complete.

So to calibrate the gauge, it is desirable, in all cycles 30 discharge, a full uninterrupted discharge, followed by a too, non-stop, full charge.

An inaccurate gauge may have to the fact that the capacity of the battery are values are false. The battery can report that he still has 10% of capacity, when in fact it has a much lower value, and this causes the computer to the unexpected shutdown.

Cycles of discharge (or charge) are to use this charge battery (100%), but not necessarily all at once.

For example, you can use the laptop for a few minutes in a day, using half of its e ability then it load completely. If you did the same thing the next day, it can be considered a discharge cycle, not two, so it may take several days before finishing a complete discharge cycle.

  • Windows 7 adjustable threshold less than 100% of the battery charge?

    Hello.

I have a Clevo P170HMx which is a cell phone game impressive.

Probably the only thing I don't like is that my battery is always 100%.  I used my laptop plugged into an electrical outlet.

and knowing that to have my battery to 100% and always load will destroy the battery life.

My previous laptop was an IBM Thinkpad, and it had a maximize battery gauge allows you to define the allowed charge batery

threshold.  I got this game to start the load to 15% and stop loading at 20%.  I had this same battery from the time of purchase

until 4 years later, I got my new laptop, the battery remained in excellent condition with load capacity full not escape

as do other batteries when they stay at 100% and reload constantly.

Is it possible on Windows 7 pro to change the threshold of battery charge to stop less than 100% load to save battery life

life?  Or is it Windows software available for download that will make this recommended?

If Windows 7 is not able to do this, I would say something in an update service pack or the next version of Windows.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    See you soon...

    Hello

In normal circumstances as soon as the lithium-ion battery is full, a properly functioning charger will stop the charge and will only engage when the battery voltage drops to a low level. Most of the users do not remove AC power, and this practice is safe.

The latest Lithium-ion batterires have a limited number of Discharg/charge cycles.

You can create a detailed report on the State of the battery to double check the battery status.

    1. go to Start / all programs / Accessories. Click on the command prompt and select run as administrator.

2 in the command prompt window, copy / paste the following command.

    powercfg-energy-output %userprofile%\desktop\energy-report.html

    Press ENTER.

Wait for the command to complete (usually about 2 minutes).

This create a file named energy - report.html and place it on your desktop.

3 go to your desktop and double-click the file to open.

Scroll to the bottom for the battery: battery information section.

    You will see:

    Rated xxxxx

    Xxxxx full last Charge

    (Where xxxxx is a number)

4 to calculate the amount of full Charge capacity left in the battery split the value of the last Charge full rated capacity and multiply by 100.

For this example , use the following numbers.

    Nominal capacity 4400

    Last full 2937

Calculator enter 2937 and divide by 4400.

Multiply the multipliez le resultat result by 100 , then press =.

    The result will be 66,75

This means you have 66,75% of the nominal capacity of the battery.

    Tell us what you find.

  • Life of the battery in cold weather

Hello, today I had the opportunity to work outside for about an hour in New York, where the temperature was below zero, later in the day, I noticed that the battery level was at 20%, normally for me with my moderate 9 hours in the day use I to 60-70% left, so the question is cold weather can degrade the battery times this much? Thanks in advance and happy holidays!

When the batteries are cold, they will accept a deep load (read cooler). At the same time, they will accept the charge at a slower pace. When the batteries are warm, they will more quickly but accept lower fees. Ideally, the battery should be cooler and charge any longer. Cool, not cold.

Smart Chargers manage the current going on expensive Chargers and batteries and very effective, the battery temperature is monitored and the charge rate and current goes into the battery is managed for optimal performance. It is not that much inteliigence in this small charger for the Droid.  Look at the charger for a very large capacity batteries used in the industry and you would be amazed to see how they work and manage the charge cycle.

You could go crazy trying to manage the load on the Droid but just follow a few simple rules and you will get the best performance:

Whenever you are near a charger, charge it.

Do not move the battery completely down. If so, recharge as soon as possible. If it is only a minimal cost after that, you probably need a new battery, you won't be able to 'condition' it. It is a myth.

Don't let a flat battery in the droid for awhile.

Don't let the battery really cold or hot. I want to talk about the extremes. If you are comfortable, so is the Droid and its battery.

Break the battery with a hammer = risk your life. No joke. Same thing with ardour. Warning labels are for real.

When you buy a new battery, no matter what anyone tells you, load first. After that, wait less performance optimal for a week or two.

For what makes the Droid, they put a very low capacity of the battery in it. It has less capacity than many other smartphones.
