• Windows 8 shows the other user when I start. How can I disable this?

  When I start my computer, I get a screen that says the other user. I have to hit enter where the password should go and then I'll get the back button which will reveal my user account, but the other user account is listed next to it. I don't have an active guest account so I don't know what the other user account and I can't turn it off. I had my computer configured to just start up and go to my Start menu.   Your machine has only two accounts: admin and guest. I saw a few messages before which the poster makes an additional account on the log on screen that does not exist. Since there is not, it cannot be used.

  I have a few buttons on mouseover that they animate the scale upwards and mouseout/mouseouthandler() they scale back down. This works great except the scenario when the a button on the mouse user then immediately mouse the button following the animation on the first button suddenly stops and the animation starts on the current button. Is there a way to keep the animation plays for the first button AND have the animation working set for the second button?

  As indicated, I restart in SafeMode (shift key hold down at the start of firefox) to "reset" my favorites.
  It restarts in safemode, but no "Firefox Safe Mode" dialog box does not appear... so I can't reset the bookmarks toolbar by using the option "reset toolbars and controls.

  Make sure the toolbars like the toolbar 'Navigation' and the 'personal bar' are visible.

  • Firefox menu button > Options
  • View > toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)
  • Right click on empty toolbar space

  Use the toolbar (Customize) to open the Customize and set the toolbar to display items.

  • Make sure the "bookmarks toolbar items" are on the personal bar
  • If "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the bookmarks toolbar, then FRY it in the palette of the toolbar in the window the bookmarks toolbar Customize
  • If the missing elements are in the toolbar palette then drag them from the window, customize the toolbar
  • If you do not see an item on a toolbar in the toolbar palette and then click the button "Restore default" to restore the default toolbar configuration
