Storm Smartphones blackBerry will retain past Outlook calendar entries (2003)

I was @ 10 hours with support from Verizon staff trying to solve this problem; the question was refitted and am waiting for a call from an analyst.

I changed the option on the device to keep forever appt.  Recently by a suggestion of bifocals, I tried a date of transfer of range: 1000 days before up to 365 days after, with a two-way transfer and notification if a conflict occurs and received this message:

The following changes to the device calendar will be applied to your Microsoft Outlook data in the calendar:

4100 deletion

11 adding

6 change (s)

The following changes to Microsoft Outlook calendar will be applied to your device data in the calendar:

1 added

1 change (s)

I also tried a a way to transfer and got the info on my phone, but invariably last calendar items disappear from the device and often want to take my Office Outlook entries with them.

I just want to be able to keep 3 years of the last entries in the calendar on my device and transfer future appointments that I do on my device to my Office Outlook calendar when I sync the two.

Someone at - it ideas?  Please?

Leigh Ann

Solution to the problem!  I hope this will help others.  I got lots of help from my "friend" double focus on this one and finally got to talk to a person to support RIM yesterday.  I think that what follows is my fix:

Even if I went to the 'calendar', 'options', 'General options', 'actions' and set 'keep appointments' to 'forever' as one of the first things I did to solve this problem, the tech of BB (Matt) says that the setting often have not kept, so I changed "forever" for 15 days and recorded the change.  Then I restarted the phone by pulling the battery with the phone and returned above and changed the option back to "forever".  I now do a sync with only the future transferred elements and the past 2 synchronizations have been beautifully!  If I have other problems, I will let you all know and understand, I hope, the solution.

  • Smartphones blackBerry synchronization with MS Outlook calendar

I used my BB with MS Outlook calendar. So far it works very well. Recently, a few articles on my Outlook calendar disappeared, but are still on my BB calendar.

How can I get these items on the BB to sync to my Outlook calendar? Is this possible.

    I appreciate any help.

    Thank you

    Tamara

sounds like a problem of multi calendar

Open your calendar on your BB, click options and meu

under fat calendars that make you see (address email, facebook, default of the unit?)

Click on each of them and see what is the number of entries for each

next go back to your home screen, go to options (for wheel) and then advanced options, default sevrices

only one of these elements under fat calendars earlier is mentioned here beside CICAL?

If you had entered with more than 1, you have a problem of multical

one who is by default would be that you synchronize successfully, the other calendars that had entered and are by default not wouldn't entries do not sync

There is a new article that can help you with m, new multicals for whoever you want by default

  • BlackBerry Smartphones sync will not sync all calendar items

Everything worked fine until a few days ago, well I noticed it this morning.  My Outlook calendar has NOTHING of my future appointments. I don't know how or why they were deleted. Appointments are on my Black Berry Torch schedule, but they will not synchronize.

I tested with sync settings trying to force synchronization.

I changed the default calendar account.

I tried all the files suggested troubleshooting assistance.

Here's the strange thing... If I create a new appointment in outlook, or on my phone they synchronize correctly.  But the appointments that has disappeared from my computer will not synchronize.

What I did, however, set is: I don't know what fixed!   I took the black berries on another computer I rarely ever synchronize with just to see what would happen. All data, including mysterious calendar synchronized (leaked?) correctly entries.  OK, so I've narrowed the problem to my laptop (which is the computer that I had the problem with when you posted this thread).

So I took the blackberry to my laptop, logged, sank and nothing, the calendar, same question.  Then I hit reset in the desktop software and tried to sink again, and it worked as if by magic.  So I guess that reset solved the problem.   Everything from the phone, including mystery calendar entries are now synchronized.  I guess I should have tried the obvious earlier instead of trying all of these advanced settings. • Smartphones blackBerry device as the default calendar Outlook e-mail

I got my Blackberry at the end of February and set up my email in Outlook as the e-mail by default for the calendar of the device and have had no problem sync'ing the calendar and contacts between Outlook and the device using the Blackberry Desktop Software.

An update of the basic Blackberry has been pushed and installed on the device recently, and since then, the device couldn't keep the Outlook email like email to the device default calendar.  Every time when it took place, one of two things happened: either that I entered on the device the appointment would be labeled as calendar item Outlook e-mail, separate from all the calendar items by default (visible in the indicator of different color) device, in which case the added appointmend cannot Sync to my desktop Outlook calendar; or all my default calendar items is attributed to Outlook e-mail calendar (the color indicator has changed to green instead of blue by default), in which case the device request to delete everything on my desktop Outlook calendar appointment when sync'ing because he could not reconcile the default calendar with Outlook e-mail calendar.

Every time when the problem occurs, I would delete the Outlook emails (so that the unit had no default e-mail) and reinstalled it so that Outlook e-mail was the email to the device default calendar.  The synchronization works after that but only for a short while every time. Then, the problem is back.

When I Sync the device with Outlook desktop, I also noticed that on the device under Setup > e-mail accounts, sync for Outlook e-mail Options only the "Deleted items" box and no boxes for calendar and contacts, but I don't know if that makes a difference.

I think there must be something wrong in the recent updated Blackberry which is ruin the calendar by default when it is bound to an address in Outlook. Could you help it you fixing problem.

Ok. The default calendar is the calendar CICAL associated with e-mail. The calendar of the device is the calendar with all the calendars, including the calendar by default, integrated into one. I get it.  KB19240 helps to explain the differences. Is KB 17992.

I realized that 'Office' is not an option for me as the service by default because my camera is not related to any Blackberry Enterprise Server.  As long as I can remove the Outlook email [CICAL] service book to keep everything on my entire appointment in the calendar of a single machine with no calendar [CICAL] separate E-mail, I'll consider the problem solved. It also means that I have will not put in place any other e-mail or Facebook services on the device at the moment.

Then I will watch the articles to learn more about Service books in the Knowledge Base when I had the chance.  Thank you for your help.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry will honor my warranty if the account owner is not present in the store?

I was 18 at the time of the purchase of my phone, so my father-in-law put the phone in his name at the time. Now I have problems with my blackberry, and he's not around more. So I'll need to take it in me, and I have the box, as well as the charger, cd tools user, the small manual books, my virgin mobile and conditions.

I can't find the reception, but they would be able to look up from my account in order to check that it was purchased less than a year ago? In addition, the debit card used to pay the phone bill is mine and they can check that too if that helps.

Then, the Blackberry will honor my warranty if the account owner is not present in the store?

This ^^ above are true and all, I would say take the phone of your store, Virgin and the BlackBerry in hand, tell them what is wrong, etc., and they should simply check your account to see the unit on your account and probably will not plunge even in need of a reception, etc., as the device IS actually saved on YOUR Virgin mobile account right?

Play dumb, not all volunteers 'too much information', unless specifically asked on a receipt (I doubt you will be). So yes, it's "my father-in-law bought for me as a gift, he's gone now and my BlackBerry does not work. What can you do? »

  • BlackBerry Smartphones PDF in the section Notes, calendar entries

    Anyone any idea on it.

This is my 2nd Pearl BB and with my first, I could see PDF that was stored in the Notes of any calendar entry. With this one, I can't... it is not only all attachments in the Notes section. E-mail in use system's Notes but nothing changed there, so I'm wondering if anyone knows what might be wrong.

I can see fine of PDF on my mail when they come as long as attachments so I know that the capability is there... everything seems to be nothing in the Notes to the calendar entries...

Any idea? Technical support in society have not managed to find something...

If you could see the attachments to the calendar on your previous device entries, which would indicate to me that Yes, you should be able to see them on your new device... which tells me that your BES admins have not configured your new BES device are the same as your old.

If you could read attachments in PDF calendar on your old device, then your BES admins did something (probably an add-on application to your BB) in order to allow this to work.

This side, I can't honestly say that this must be a work function or not - I'm not on NOTES so can't compare the features and functions. But, since you're on BES, it's really these admins who are in control, so I suggest to go see them.

  • Storm Smartphone blackBerry - synchronize Outlook with Blackberry Desktop Manager 5.0

When syncing my calendar and notes to outlook on my Storm, I see all the records read and updated... But once it goes through all the updates, a message appears that says "a moment please...» "and it then closes the sync and returns in the Office Manager.  Does that mean my sync is complete?  All my data seems to be there, but there is no confirmation message indicating the synchronization is complete.  I installed the ver4.7 Desktop software and I remember that this is obvious when the synchronization is complete because it stated so.  Does anyone else have this problem? Or you can check that this is the new way that it syncs on 5.0?  Thnx.

    Hi lovemuzak,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums

Not to worry... It is normal that Desktop Manager 5.0 to do at the end of the synchronization. This message starts to blink on the display and the TI will return to the GUI Desktop Manager.

All data must be up-to-date in this case.

    See you soon,.

  • Outlook Smartphones blackBerry 0x80040FB3 with periodic meetings calendar sync error

I'm trying to accomplish a synchronization very simply from my calendar to Outlook 2010 Enterprise (32-bit) on Windows 7 using BlackBerry Desktop Software v6.0.2.44 to my personal calendar on my curve.  Synchronization is set to go in a direction of Outlook-> curve.

Well, it seems to work with one big exception.  Synchronization fails with error 0x80040FB3 cod anytime a meeting organizer changed one or more individual meetings initially set up through the series.   When I filter crime meeting, identified by the subject line, the synce will proceed without error.

Alors_que adding these filters helped in troubleshooting, I can't continue in this mode of operation because: 1) it prevents me from having the full view on my agenda; (2) requires a lot of manual effort to identify the meeting the question; and (3) it is not solving the root cause of the problem.

I searched the Bulletin Board and have not found this question expressed by others.

I checked for updates of the software to desktop and portable, erased from the calendar held in the hand before synchronizing, deleted the Intellisync desktop folder and tried most of the other articles that I found in the forum related to questions that seem similar, but nothing did.

Someone has an answer for this?

I stopped using my Blackberry and moved to Android.  Until I'm done with the Blackberry, I found a solution for Outlook synchronization issues that worked for me.

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to save previous Outlook calendar items during synchronization?

When I sync my new blackberry he invites me to remove all items from calendar from my Office Outlook since before I got the blackberry.  How can I keep my previous calendar items in my Outlook on my desktop?  I did not need them on my blackberry, but I need it on my desk as a record.

    Dear friend,

Thank you very much!  I had spent a lot of time on this one and I really appreciate your help.  Once I discovered that Research in Motion has no support in person after the failure of online research, I called the Verizon store.  He told me that I have to buy a new software package in order to save my previous calendar data, and then he suggested that I have post my question on the forum.  I'm so happy I did.  Thanks again.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not Sync past Outlook appointment with my new Blackberry 9300

OK, so I have my new curve and I love it.  Problem is that I can't seem to synchronize my outlook appointment old no matter what I try.  I put the old store never entered and tried re sync.  Does not work.  I tried everything I can possibly think.  I am using the new 6 blackberry desktop software that is different from the one which seemed to be easier to use.  I also use outlook 2007 with a business email account.  Help, please.

Finally managed to do work.  I removed all my computer Blackberry Desktop software.  Apparently, I had a couple of previous versions.  Deleted the latest version 6.0 as well.  Restarted my computer and downloaded the desktop software 6.0 again and installed it.  This time, when I was setting up the configuration settings it gave me the option when I clicked on the calendar to load from outlook, to load all appointments (instead of a just future) and also to choose a way to transfer.  Also done with the contacts option.  Sync and hop all my latest appointments.  Returned in the configuration on the desktop software settings and set it to sync both calendar and contacts in the future.  Wish I thought that it was a matter of software of office a long time ago and not only certain setting in the device blackberry itself.  Lost so much time on it.  O well good go now I hope this helps someone else.
