Strange black gap after the title screen
Hello
I have a simple screen with a LabelField I put as a title. After that, I add a SeperatorField to the screen. Since I use a color different than black for the background of my title field, I can see a black area about 5 pixels between where ends the title field and the field separator. This happen when running with OS 4.6.
When you run the same code on a simulator with OS 4.5, there is no such black gap.
Someone has seen this before and may know a work around? I already tried all possible settings as a zero margin and margin inner but not luck so far.
Thank you.
Daniel
The default title bar some theme related problem. I don't think that you can customize the default title bar.
Try something like this instead of using the setTitle() method:
import net.rim.device.api.ui.*;import net.rim.device.api.ui.component.*;import net.rim.device.api.ui.container.*;import net.rim.device.api.system.*; class TestScreen extends MainScreen{ private HorizontalFieldManager titleManager; private VerticalFieldManager mainManager; TestScreen() { super(NO_VERTICAL_SCROLL); /////////////////START OF TITLE/////////////////// LabelField titleLabel = new LabelField("Title Text"); titleManager = new HorizontalFieldManager() { protected void paintBackground(Graphics graphics) { graphics.setBackgroundColor(0x00dddcdd); graphics.clear(); super.paint(graphics); } }; titleManager.add(titleLabel); ////////////////////END OF TITLE/////////// /////////////////START OF MAIN MANAGER//////// //rather than adding component in the mainScreen //add components in this verticalManager and then //add this manager to mainScreen mainManager = new VerticalFieldManager(Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLL | Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR) { protected void paintBackground(Graphics graphics) { graphics.setBackgroundColor(0x00000000); graphics.clear(); super.paint(graphics); } protected void sublayout( int maxWidth, int maxHeight ) { int width = Display.getWidth(); int height = Display.getHeight() - titleManager.getPreferredHeight(); super.sublayout( width, height); setExtent( width, height); } }; ButtonField btnTest = new ButtonField("Test Button"); mainManager.add(btnTest); /////////////////END OF MAIN MANAGER/////////////// this.add(titleManager); this.add(mainManager); }}

Re: Satellite Pro A200 - black screen after the BIOS screen
Hello
I'm new to the forum and have a big problem. So, any help is welcome and appreciated. My Satellite Pro A200 turns black after the BIOS screen and a black screen with a blinking cursor. Also just as the screen goes black a beep can be heard which shows windows boot.
I can access the toshiba Setup screen but not the installation of security mode.Kind regards
Hello
You wrote that you can access the BIOS, but have you checked if the HARD drive is recognized properly? Perhaps because the computer cannot start HDD isn't recognized then you should check this.
If the HARD drive is recognized, I would try a Toshiba Recovery disk recovery facility. It seems that Windows isn't able to start and if you reinstall the whole system should help get rid me of this. Go to the start menu and select the CD/DVD drive as a boot device.
Check this box!

Satellite M40 - 129 stops starting after the Toshiba screen
Hello
My M40 continues sometimes to start after the Toshiba screen. He stops and all I see is the blinking cursor. No Error Message or something else and normal boot from the HARD drive. Boot from CD (for example. Œuvres of Knoppix). This problem sometimes occurs and traceable for me isn´t.Best regards
SpoonyHey Spoony
Unfortunately on this path, it is not easy to say why this is happening. Each user has a specific configuration OS and we don t know how your operating system is configured.
You can boot OS in safe mode? If Yes check what the problem may be a little. If there is anything you can do I recommend you save all your data and preinstall unit using rescue media. If you do this I recommend also to create two partitions.
Don t compare WXP and Linux startup procedure. As you know that Knoppix using just the RAM and no HARD drive for the race.

I'm having a problem with the Software NI SignalExpress where the application fails to open completely - it closes immediately after the splash screen. I am using windows XP Pro. SP3.
I tried to uninstall, registry errors compensation and reinstall, I also tried the repair installation - or who work.
A test of SignalExpress installation was installed on my PC until I got a full copy with the purchase of a data acquisition (usb-6218).
Hi André,.
Sounds a bit nasty. If repairing and reassembling and all this malarky does not recommend the use of msiblast to clean your computer of all the software of NOR and starting again with a new install. When you software uninnstall he didn't get rid of everything, there is still hidden folders around dootted.
I joined msiblast.exe.
-Run msiblast
-Make sure the radio button "Show OR installers only" is selected.
-Select all and then click on uninstall.
When this is complete, your computer will be NOT free. After that;
-Install all software from OR you for example LabVIEW Signal express
-Then install the drivers. The USB-6218 case uses the DAQmx driver that the latest version can be downloaded from this link.
If it persists then write again.

Blue screen in Vista 7 just after the login screen
We get a blue error screen 7th on Vista 64-bit SP1 right after the login screen appears. The blue screen immediately goes, and system restarts (or sometimes just hangs). I was not able to find the codes of the 7th in the research:
(took a picture of the screen...)
STOP: 0x0000007E (oxFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF80002325C87, 0xFFFFFA60165BE3E8, 0xFFFFFA60165BDDC0)
I am able to boot in safe mode. Do you have a chkdsk C: /F and which did not help. Do you have a repair system using the Vista startup disk and that did not help. Went to safe mode and MSCONFIG and position the clean boot and that did not help. I tried to update to SP2 and unable to complete safe mode.
The ideas and the sage advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cannot start after the blue screen "page in the nonpaged area failure."
My sons laptop has got to me. There the error page blue to come with "failure page in the nonpaged area." There is a chain of technical info of numbers, but this changes a little at each attempt.
I tried all F8 options, without success. I did a restore disk from the laptop of my other son (which is the same) and that has not worked and I also downloaded a file of system restore on the internet who do not. I ran diagnostics memory on the scope option and who found nothing.
No matter what I try, always the fails to start after the first screen with Microsoft Corporation at the bottom and the small lights of scrolling!
I would be grateful for any suggestions that anyone can have. I wondered if I should try to borrow a disc of Windows Vista from someone and try from there?

sqldeveloper - 4.0.3.16.84 - x 64 crashes after the splash screen
I had successfully used my installation of sqldeveloper - 4.0.3.16.84 - x 64 last week. After an update to windows 7 enterprise SP1 crashes after the splash screen and about 10% of the progress bar, until the message saying it is saving the extensions. There is no error or other messages of information displayed. I tried to run from a command window produces no additional information. I deleted the sqldeveloper folder and downloaded a zip file and reinstalled. Same behavior.
The Data Modeler works very well.
Any suggestions on how to do this problem.
Hi Andy,.
If the problem is not with the installation of SQL Developer (which you have unpacked in an empty directory) or find the JDK or having a JDK version that is inappropriate, you should then see if your user settings has been corrupted or (maybe) is somehow became less accessible than before the update of Windows 7 SP1. These settings can be found under C: \Users\
-Appdata\Roaming\SQL Developer\system4.0.3.16.84. Here is a compilation of a few standard tips offered several times before on this forum for this kind of situation:
1 see if behavior persists after the removal of the settings and restart SQL Developer without migrating settings.
(Be sure to make a backup (export) of your connections first!)
2. see if (assuming that (1) does not help) allows to reinstall SQL Developer.
If the fault cannot be placed on a migration of settings / download / installation corrupt, then we can start to consider...
3. possible problΦmes with older JDK.
4 OutOfMemory possible problΦmes that may be hidden by running only no Developer SQL from a command line console.
5. a new bug.
So try (1) and (2) If you have not already. Ignore (3) If you are already using jdk7_u51 or later and are not on a Mac. Point (4) can be a problem if you have many windows to restore and did not mount the Xmx values in the file product.conf - especially if you use a 64 bit JDK. And (5), if you have the urge, see...
http://www.thatjeffsmith.com/archive/2012/06/how-to-collect-Debug-Info-for-Oracle-SQL-Developer/
And if you want to try (1) in a clean 'sandbox' unaffected by existing directories of user settings, you can always add one
AddVMOption - Dide.user.dir =
line to your sqldeveloper.conf file.
Hope this helps,
Gary
SQL development team
P.S.: And keep in mind that SQL Developer "score" to a specific JDK in 4.0 and above all used the SetJavaHome in the product, conf, rather than sqldeveloper.conf

AE crashes after the splash screen
Hi guys,.
AE (Version 13.6) starting up normally, but after the splash screen, it freezes into a white screen showing just the menu bar. If I delete all the files in the Prefs folder, it works perfectly.
I upgraded my computer, all the drivers are updated. My graphics card is a GTX 970 and OS is Windows 10.
Can someone help me, please!
See you soon
Contact Adobe support?
Honestly, this looks like a graphic driver problem. As I said before, a lot of people had problems with them on the latest version of Windows. They would install the driver the most recent, but for some reason, it did not work. 10 windows and NVIDIA are fighting the driver. I did not get around upgrade to Windows 10, so I didn't really look into it enough to hold people solutions came with.
