Stream PCs 13 NP: Recovery destroys Office

I started having problems with my Windows with this flow (less than one year).  I have restored successfully Windows without problem and then found that I had lost the Office that is installed on the computer!  All my files were backed up, so I wasn't worried about the warning that files would be destroyed.

Any suggestions?

If it is Office 365, you can reinstall from the Microsoft using your ID Microsoft site

About a year and a half ago, I bought a DELL Inspirion R15 for my daughter and sent him to College with a 3 year extended warranty. In the last months, she has been having network problems and decided to go to his college IT department rather than call DELL wireless.  Engineering in the computer SCIENCE Department has decided that the problem should be a corruption of the OS of Windows 8.1 update and they decided to reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows 8.

Of course, that did not solve the problem and the laptop is now in my hands.  I called DELL support and the wireless card on the laptop will be replaced as soon as it arrives.

Now my question... The laptop no longer has the Microsoft Office package I bought with laptop and has been installed at the time of delivery the laptop. Using the recovery disks that I created the first day, I can reinstall Microsoft Office?  If this is not the case, how can I get the software on the laptop?

If the system is delivered with Microsoft Office you would have got a MPI card that contains your Office product key see here:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/download-Microsoft-Windows-and-Office/Download-Microsoft-Office/Microsoft-product-identity-MPI-card/

The problem may be due to the factory settings and a conflict with the Windows Update 8.1 (where it is returned). In this case a clean install of Windows 8.1 may help. See a clean install of Windows 8.1:

  • Satellite A500-1GL: recovery reached Office Reboot again and again - solved

I did a restore on my Satellite A500-1GL using F8 to recovery on the HARD drive.

However after the computer goes through the implementation of Windows 7 for the first time, from desktop it immediately disconnects and restarts.

This process of setting up Windows for the first time, including initialization screen white with logoff bar then immediate green and stop constantly repeats.

Same result with Recovery CD I created again.

It is no longer an option to repair the computer when you press F8.

    Any suggestions please?

If I end up having to reinstall Windows 7 from another copy, then how can I go about it like
Windows 7 license serial number rubbed off the label on the bottom of the laptop?

    Thanks in advance.

-It turns out that he must restart about 6 - 7 times to complete the installation.

    Hello

As I see that everything is fine. It is logical that laptop restarts several times while recovery facility is running. I do not know how it looks with your machine, but when I use the recovery machine it starts with the number 1/64. With other words, it must be installed 64 components (software) and then some of them laptop restarts simply but installation will continue.

When the recovery image is complete it is still displayed on the screen and the laptop owner is notified that installation of recovery has been completed successfully.

I managed to solve the problem, he had problems with the byte of functionality.

I guess I should say teacher fights since he hit two machines.

In one case, the problem was when we read the internal label, we interpreted a letter to be a lowercase n and it was actually an h.

Otherwise, a different character was misentered.

After correcting the byte of functionality, we were able to run the recovery media.

  • Update Dell has destroyed Office 365

    Hello
My system is an "Inspiron 7548' running Windows 10 (since July last year)
and on this system "Dell Update" ran 13/06/2016 18:13 for "DSD Cert removal"
and 13/06/2016 18:11 for "eDellRoot removal.
These two lists the only program affected as "Microsoft Office 365"
and I got this information from system restore points.

Since the office is completely dead - Word, Excel, Outlook, all die with
    "Microsoft xxxx has stopped working".

Attempts to restore through these restore points all fail.

    Questions
    1. How can I get my desktop back software?
    2. what business has Dell update with Office in the 1st place - it's not a driver or anything like that?

    Ideas?

  • HP Stream 13: How do we install 8.1 Windows on HP 13 Stream without a recovery partition and a Windows license key?

I deleted all the hard drive on my HP Stream 13, including the recovery partition.  I want to reinstall Windows 8.1 on the disk.  I downloaded the ISO of 8.1 of Windows on the Microsoft Web site.  When I try to install it, I get prompted for a product key.  He must see that the material already has a license for Windows 8.1 and not to invite me for a key.  What should I do to get Windows installed 8.1?

13 Stream is a license for Windows 8.1 with Bing, it does not cover the Windows 8.1 ISO that you downloaded, that's why you're be prompted for a product key.  I heard Windows 8.1 with of the Bing ISO are available, but they are not official.  If you have not created a USB recovery before wiping the drive, you could also buy the HP recovery media or possibly install Windows 10.

  • can not update xp or IE after system recovery

I did a system restore on my computer XP 32 bit. I have not checked to see if he had 1 SP installed, but I had a disc for SP 2 and manually installed SP 3.
I can't install WIndows updates, due to the fact that I need of IE 7 or higher. IE 7 won't install because I guess he needs updates of some sort? How can I solve this problem?

I tried to install Service Pack 1, but it wouldn't work because I installed SP 3.

    4. after recovery, your office is always show files that were there before the recovery?

Describe the very next step you take after you have completed the recovery. The files are still there, but some are missing such as 2007 Microsoft Office and other programs, but my documents are still there

This means that is non-destructive recovery of Compaq and have without doubt both times. I would say that a re - install destructive is in order and follow my previous instructions that were for a clean install. Note that this will destroy the data so if your data is important you must save it first, ideally twice in two separate devices. If you are worried about data loss, I suggest putting in the hands of a professional, but do not expect to take any responsibility for your data. If someone is able, they may not cover all the possibilities (e.g., disk failure) and we your data must be your responsibility.

In the light of your PC is one that may require the patch from HP/Compaq AMD I have revised my instructions for you below...

Print what you want from this Web site that you can access on the PC hit after the new installation. After the installation you're using IE6 that this site does not work with!

Get these downloads (click the link) and have them on a CD or a USB key (ignore warnings from Microsoft gives you need to be an IT pro or using Windows updates in place)

SP2 (only if your recovery is a "no service pack at all" XP or is a Media Center XP)

SP3 (only if your recovery is pre - SP3)

AMD patch (only if your recovery is pre - SP3)

IE8 (do not leave Microsoft direct you to a later version, IE8 is as good as it gets for XP)

Make sure you have your antivirus solutions and handy greater security as (CD/download).

    • Back up your data
    • Disconnect from the internet (remove the cable Ethernet or a wireless device?)
    • Disconnect all devices except the screen, keyboard and mouse.
    • Make the new facility (the driver installation should not be necessary for a resumption of Compaq)
    • Remove Norton (use the deletion tool that rocks of XP has suggested)
    • Install SP2 (only if there is no service pack at all after the recovery, or it is XP Media Center)
    • Install the patch from HP/Compaq AMD (if recovery is pre - SP3)
    • Install SP3 (if recovery is pre - SP3)
    • Install IE8
    • Install antivirus/security
    • To connect to the internet
    • Update antivirus/security
    • Windows Update
    • Install remaining desired hardware/software
    • Restore your data

Do not use Windows updates or driver "detectives" update/install drivers.

Do not try to use Windows Update, until SP3 is installed.

Do not install IE8 or any other software as long as you are at SP3.

Make sure to use restore points in case something goes 'shaped pear.

  • I have an Imac with Yosemite version 10.10.5, is possible to access Microsoft Office?

I have an I-Mac with Yosemite, version 10.10.5, since Apple upgraded me to Yosemite I have not access to Microsoft Office, which makes it difficult to communicate with the family and friends of Windows PCs.  I have Microsoft Office 2004 on this computer but you would have to buy Office if I want.  Is there a way I can work around sited?

2004 Microsoft is not compatible with recent versions of Mac OS X;   Mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan.

    The options are:

down to load the freeware applications: NeoOffice or Open Office

Buy Apple iWork applications of the Mac App Store:

Pages - word processing and page layout

    Keynote - presentation

    Numbers - spreadsheet

Buy Microsoft Office Mac from here: Office 2016

It can open and save MS Office compatible documents

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I wish I had some good news for you, but I did not.

What you did MUST have worked - as, according to the HP website, your PC is preinstalled with Win10, and in this case the recovery should go off without a hitch.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try: HP PCs - perform a recovery of the system (Windows 10) HP | HP® customer support

If none of those who work, then your only recourse is to order the media recovery via this link: HP computers - getting HP discs recovery or a USB HP recovery disc | HP® customer support

    Good luck
