• Audio mixing MCU

  Hello!

  This question is to check what I think I know.

  For our hypothetical conference, we have 10 participants (a 6000MXP, a SX20, 7 C40s and a participant audio only)

  Call the 10 participants.  Their audio is mixed and sent to each participant under their own audio.

  Here's the question;

  For each participant, the balance of the audio levels is exactly the same, except that their audio is removed from the composition of right?

  For example, both the 6000MXP that the SX20 receive the same volume relative to the C40s and audio participant audio only. There is nothing in the MCU logic audio which increase or decrease the volume of the participant only audio differently for the 6000MXP than the SX20, right?

  Yes, the relative level of the audio remains unchanged.

  Now coming to your second question,.

  MCU may or may not transcode the audio packets. Yes, every outgoing audio stream is collection of entirely new audio packages, now, the codec may stay the same or transcode gets according to SDP/Capsets trading.

  Each participant (whether audio or video), individual countries are assigned, so that each participant will again coming out of the audio stream being MCU as a source.

  HI Sandra.  The 5320 MCU is the same as 4500 MCU.

  Incoming ports

  • FTP - TCP:21 + transient (dynamic rather than fixed) used TCP ports for passive mode
  • HTTP - TCP:80
  • HTTPS - TCP:443
  • H.323 - TCP:1720 + ephemeral TCP ports for incoming calls
  • SNMP - UDP:161
  • Outgoing calls to H.323 involve ephemeral ports TCP connections TCP TCP:1720 and a certain number of ephemeral TCP ports
  • Outgoing SIP TCP calls involve connections between the TCP ephemeral ports and TCP:5060
  • Outgoing SIP TCP calls involve connections between the TCP ephemeral ports and TCP:5061
  • Outgoing interruptions SNMP are sent the ephemeral ports UDP Port 162
  • Media (including audio and video, FECC messages) are ephemeral ports from ephemeral ports UDP.
  • The products acquired Cisco TANDBERG/Codian and gateway series series Cisco TelePresence allocate the ephemeral ports between 49152 to 65535 *. It is possible to change the ports on which these products receive and establish connections. • MCU transmit + H.263 instead of H.264

  Hi all

  As you know, by configuring "Optimizing the size of video transmission" as "dynamic codec and resolution", MCU optimizes the video codec transmission and pass the resolution.

  But how does the MCU determine video codec?

  I wonder why MCU transmits video with H.263 + C20 (TC4.2) even if the MCU receives video with H.264 and there seems to be no factor to degrade the video codec (such as packet loss and so on).

  What is the bandwidth on call between MCU and C20?

  Ideally, MCU lower resolution video/code if the original size of the video displayed (especially with the voice changer mode) is smaller than the outgoing video channel.

  Also, if the remote end point to use control flow and reduces the bandwidth on the MCU main video transmission channel.

  But also if call bandwidth is low, H.263 base with higher cadence (instead of H.264 video payload large base mind lower-rate) may choice as the best experience of video stream.

• MCU/TMS layouts

  I have a couple of C40s with dual display /Profiles with two screens. If a C40 call for 3-way using MS, they see two other participants on both screens. However, two other participants with dual display see video on one screen. Y at - it a setting I can change in the codecs so that anyone had made an appeal, they can see themselves with each other's video on both screens. I know that the Codec with the Member States is twofold from considering that the others do not, but I was wondering if there is any adjustment to split the stream and display it on multiple screens even if the initiator multisite is a different endpoint?

  Also is possible even on an MCU? Are there updates in all this? TMS is able to configure the way above Conference?

  George,

  The short answer is no it is not possible.  You're right, that the "hub" codec is send/receive (2) flow, one to each of the codecs 'speak '.  Given that the codecs 'speaks' receive only one (1) flow they cannot separate the flow of different origin.  That is the concept behind the TIP, immersive rooms, the server TP etc.

  The "hub" codec multiplexes streams in a feed for all codecs 'speak '.  With the "hub" codec, you can determine how this single multiplexed stream will appear on codecs 'speaks' insofar as the layout, but it will always be on one screen and a single stream.

• Multicast in MCU 4515

  Hello people,

  I need your help.

  We are building a new videoconferencing from cisco environment. Our customer wants to use multicast in the MCU 4515 to reduce network traffic. But the problem is: looking at the configuration of MCU, I find the only option to configure the multicast streaming video, I have no possibility to use the multicast for codecs that will be at the Conference.

  Is possible to use multicast in MCU 4515 to all traffic video conferencing coming out of MCU (including Streaming and "H323 line" connected)? Or is it only possible with regard to traffic streaming?

  Hi Paulo,

  multicast applies only for streaming. Endpoint/devices connected to a Conference should connect to SIP or H323.

• MCU 4500 and video walls

  We are looking to buy a video wall for one of our large conference rooms. I'm just curious how the MCU will display on a video wall. I understand that a conference to the MCU will be only one stream as opposed to separated flows. However, say we get a video wall of 3 x 3, and we have 3 x 3 provision of equal size on the MCU. If we had 9 people at a conference together, I wonder if they would be distributed to each person on one of the screens, or if they have a chance of crossover.

  Again, I understand that the video wall is technically 1 display when the chaining of the TV and I know THAT this MCU as 1 stream, so I think it is possible, that he don't line up exactly how we want to. Anyone tried something like this before? I just want to see what we get in before we eventually purchase.

  Almost impossible to do as you want - it would be pure luck than good management to say things like that.

  Best solution would be to use a Laser/LED data projector; Full HD, not lamp so no hot upward or cool down time, not so dead quiet fan. We use two Projectors Panasonic PT-RZ470EAK Laser/LED in our medium-sized rooms (seating 40 people) - and they are absolutely great. :) Life expectancy is 22000 hours.

  Rooms next to get this development will be our rooms + 100 places.

  After the upgrade to 10 Safari, I can no longer stream from a certain website. Instead of playing the video stream, I'm prompted to save "player.swf" as shown above.  This problem occurs on el Capitan, and it happens on the Sierra, and it all started when I updated Safari 9.x to 10.0

  Open Safari preferences / Security tab and check the box allow Plug-ins.

  Very soon of Flash player and the plugin will be obsolete and this web page needs to change its code to HTML5.

  Please follow the steps listed here to solve this problem:
  

  If your content is interrupted or your network is lagging

  If you have a weak Wi - Fi signal or interference from a device nearby, like a microwave or baby monitor, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that you use the recommended settings of your Wi-Fi router.
  2. Move or disable other devices that may cause interference.
  3. If possible, connect your Apple TV directly to your router with an Ethernet cable instead of using Wi - Fi.

  Your AirPlay connection may if interrupt prematurely when you lock your device, put it to sleep, or switch to a different application.

• Film vs my photo stream

  I tried to move photos from my iPhone to my iMac.  I connected my iPhone to my iMac.  613 photos to import.  Photos of 613 were in my camera.  I have 974 photos in my iPhone photo stream.  What is the difference between the film and my photo stream.  We should I import to save the photos from my iPhone to my iMac and then transfer them to an external hard drive.  Thanks for your comments and help.

  Camera Roll is home to these photos taken on your iPhone.  Those are the ones that must be imported.

  Photo stream is similar to iCloud photo library and is home to the photos that are already able to share.  They are not necessarily taken on the device that houses.

  Is it possible to 'turn off' auto importing photos from my photo in the photo library stream, while being able to watch them or possibly save the ones I want? Like the good old of iPhoto is...

  This isn't an option - if you use MyPhotoStream then everything added to yoru Mac us downloaded and while PhotosStream is downloaded and imported as documented - there is no feature of selectivity in option

• You buy an AppleTV just for stream Apple music to my home theater - wise?

  Family registerated of Apple's music.

  We have a home theater system in the living room (receiver has 2-3 years).

  Currently, connect us via to the headphone jack of the iPhone to get music on the Apple speakers.

  I suggested to an Apple TV (cheapest is one that works), connect it to the receiver (I don't know how well) and then the flow of music (?) wireless.

  1. is this a wise solution?

  2 - is called AirPlay?

  3 is high quality AirPlay?

  4. the iPhone actually sends the music via the WiFi connection, or it's more like Chromecast where just the link is sent?

  If you plan to streaming audio then its best to get an airport express, which takes in charge of AirPlay.

  The last update has disabled the streaming of the Hockey World Cup. I should have better than to update both computers.

  I had to change the settings in the preferences of Safari security in two places, because it was automatically disabled and also set off for all sites. Brilliant, Apple.

  I see that you recently updated the operating system on your Mac, but now you want to revert to a previous version. I can understand wanting to go back if you liked a previous operating system better. I'm happy to help you with this.

  I suggest to use article OS X El Capitan: revert to a previous version of OS X, more precisely, this section:

  If you use Time Machine to back up your Mac, you can easily go back to an earlier version of Mac OS X if you have problems after you install an update.

  Important: Revenant clears all changes to the files on your Mac since you have installed the new version of Mac OS X. To save the new or revised files, copy them to another disc or save them before following these instructions.

  1. Print these instructions.

     Click on the Share button in the Help window, and then choose print.

  2. Choose the Apple menu > restart. After restarting your Mac and you hear the startup chime, press command and R.

     When the Apple logo appears, you can release the keys.

  3. Select "Restore from a Time Machine backup", then click on continue.

  Text stream is a somewhat vague text. Do you mean linked text boxes as were available in Pages ' 09?
