Stuck in fullscreen to the launch of Firefox

I did several updates offered by Kaspersky Software Updater, but now Firefox full screen at launch, no URL is displayed, no bar bookmarks, etc.. None of the thing normally displayed at the top of the screen are there. However, passage that my slider all the way to the top of the screen gives me an address, search engine and all the icons on the right as the star bar, view bookmarks, save money in the Pocket, etc. My cursor to the bottom of the screen makes it disappear again.

Hi, point to the top of the screen, make a right click > exit full-screen Mode.

I have seen the other question that has been locked and pointed to this topic. Firefox reset should solve this problem. It takes about 10 seconds and will remove the modules and customizations that could cause problems. It will save all of your personal information. I have just unstinalled Office 2013 Office365 subscription.

I completely deleted Firefox, deleted the profile folders and registry keys and install a new copy.
    The presists still problem.
I launched Firefox mode without failure and the problem also appears here.

What I did then was "reset Firefox' default settings. Then, the problem seems to be gone, but on the next launch of Firefox, the issue is back.

All my plugins are set to "never activate. I removed the two .dll files for Microsoft Office Plugin too for testing purposes, but none of them solve the problem.

Start the computer in Mode safe mode with network support Windows (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if that helps.

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • How to prevent the launch automatically plug-ins Firefox on Mac?

Is there an extension that prevents the launch automatically the Firefox plug-ins? When I open a new link, any video on the page automatically begins to play, usually after that I scrolled before the video to read that I'm here for, while I have to scroll upwards or downwards to find in order to stop - slow and slows down my browser - at least it seems to do. Can you help me? Thank you

Individual plugins can be set to "Click to play" so that they do not start automatically. You can give permission to sites allows to run plugins on a page by page basis or on a site-by-site basis.

Open the Add-ons page for the Plugins section:

Tools menu > Modules > in the left column, click on Plugins

Then for Shockwave Flash, for example, or for QuickTime, change the selector "Always enable" to "ask to activate.

When you reach a page that wants to use one of these plugins, you will see at least one of them:

    • icon in the address bar that looks like a piece of Lego
    • notification on a gray rectangle dark where video normally would appear
    • information bar slides between the toolbar and the top of the page

In the dialog box, you can approve the plugin for the current page, or "remember" who approves all pages of the site.

Try it and see what you think.

This line in the userContent.css file should hide the bar:

    "@-moz - document url("about:home") {#launcher {display: none! important}}"

When you look at the profiles.ini it seems that Firefox has rebuilt itself to search a different folder... 2lbb5bu1.default - 1348169446250.

Can someone come up with an idea to get rid of the taskbar Launcher on the bottom of my Google home page? THHHAAAAAANNNNK you!

This line should be in userContent.css and still works for me in Firefox 16

Customization files (interface) userChrome.css and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the chrome folder in the Firefox profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file
    @-moz-document url(about:home){ #launcher { display:none!important; } }

  • Firefox is no longer in the first 5 seconds after the launch plan

I am running Win7 with all the latest updates and Firefox 13.0.1. After I run Firefox, a few seconds later (it varies), the Firefox window is no longer in the foreground. It's as if I clicked on another window or wall-paper, and the Firefox window is no longer selected. It becomes embarrassing when I launch Firefox, click a bookmark to blog and try to scroll down with my mouse wheel. All of a sudden, it stops scrolling because the window is no longer in the first plan/selected, and I have to click on the Firefox window back to the foreground. Note that if I open other windows, the Firefox window always remains above these windows. But the window of Firefox itself is not the selected object.

I finally found the plugin that asks that question for me. The plug-in, I confirmed my system is 'Shockwave Flash 11.3.300.268', which is the most recent available now. Deactivating a plugin solves the problem for me. I hope an update of Adobe will respond to that.

  • How to close the instance of Firefox launched via file/new window without killing all instances of Firefox?

Before the last update Firefox, running on Ubuntu if it makes a difference, I was able to select close on the file menu (and if memory is also by clicking the x on the last tab) to exit an instance of Firefox open via file new window.

With the 9.x update this no longer seems to be possible. If I choose the file altogether starting an instance that was launched via the new window, all instances of Firefox away!

It's embarrassing because I have to leave all the instances that have been launched.

I tried closing last tab add on, and it allows me to close the last tab content but still leaves the instance running with a blank tab.

Is there a setting somewhere that I missed to restore the operating mode to exit the additional instances of Firefox without killing all the previous configuration?

    Thank you
    Burt

Each window must have its own close button (big X in the right corner.)
But it depends on the 'Theme' that you use in Ubuntu. This large X chould be a round point when you hover over the color changes. It could be on the left instead of the right site.
This screenshot shows the close the left side, but always an X button.

CTRL + SHIFT + W closed the window Active.
CTRL + W closes the current tab.

I tried to uninstall ff and re - install ff and that did not help.

It is possible that there is a problem with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder.

Delete the sessionstore.js file [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

If you see files sessionstore-# .js with a number in the left part of the name as sessionstore - 1.js then delete those as well.
Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and tab groups and opened and closed the tabs (back) to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).

  • How to stack Firefox tabs open (with small size) in the launch bar

    Hello!
Lately when I added the Mozilla's Firefox icon in the launch bar (on the far left of the taskbar), all open tabs were stacked (accumulated one above the other) in a stack is large or larger than the other launch bar icons (I opted for each application of small size). After you start Firefox and open tabs successive, smaller widths of tabs currently open more horizontally.  Is there a navigation to a function of change in back again?

In addition, now and then when I connect on Firefox, the connection of the homepage is Outlook, and I have to manually switch to my favorite Firefox/Google Sign In. How can I start to get rid of what I thought "86 'd", I had many times before? A small question, but irritating nevertheless.

    Thanks in advance!

If he has problems with the update or the permissions then simpler is to download the full version and trash the version currently installed to do a clean install of the new version.

Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the file on the desktop disk image (dmg)

    • Trash the present application Firefox to do a clean (re-) install
    • Install the new version you downloaded

Your profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you will not lose your bookmarks and other personal data if you uninstall and (re) install Firefox.

  • Downloads/history/Bookmarks window is stuck in fullscreen

It started to happen after I started using full screen and split on the new OS X El Capitan.

I don't know what I did, but the window bookmarks/downloads/history (the one that appears when you click on "View history", etc.) is now permanently stuck in fullscreen. It takes up the entire screen and it disables the menu bar and Dock as would a normal fullscreen - but it is clear that this is a bug, I can somehow move (see screenshot). No title bar is displayed when I move my cursor to the top of the screen, and the usual shortcut of control-command-F toggle full screen doesn't seem to work.
