Stuck Outbox

This is not the first time, but this time it's worse.

6 iPhone ios 9.3.5

I have an email stuck in Outbox with an attachment that is too big (of course) and he won't. But the real problem is that I can't remove it either. It happened once before and after turning off the phone and back on, I was able to press edit and get rid of it, but not this time. Help!

Thank you!

Try resetting your e-mail account. First close your Mail application completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and drag the email preview pane up until it disappears from the display. Then go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > find your e-mail provider, click the account, and the blow to remove. Then restart the unit. Then go to settings > mail... and to add the account.

  • How can I delete an email stuck in Outbox of my iPhone?

I recently tried to send a video shot on my iPhone to an iPhone email using Apple's Mail application 5.  The email did not go out.  It is stuck in my Outbox apparently now trying 4 months actually download the video.  The thing just swirly swirling guard and nothing that I cannot delete or even reopen the email so I can change the video output or some other remedy.

I can't help but feel that this activity is part of what is slowing down my iPhone and devours my power.

Tried to reboot the iPhone, slide the loading message, trying to find on iCloud to deal with it, nothing works. (I does not appear in iCloud.  iCloud doesn't seem to have an Outbox) I also deleted just the video that attempts to download to send email of thugs.

Any ideas on how to remove this message in my Outbox?

Despite wha P'tit said below, I now use iOS 9.3.4 on my iPhone, but probably used all the latest version of iOS was in April when I shot the video and tried to send by e-mail.

I was not yet aware of this problem until recently.

What email account you are trying to send this with? You can try putting your device in airplane mode, then open your e-mail application, go to the Outbox, and then delete the mail. You can turn off the airplane mode after that. This should clear the error. Worst case, go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendars and delete e-mail account, and then add it back again. I guarantee you that is a cause for the drainage of the battery prematurely.

Regarding what iOS you use, if you are referring to the information in the footer of your message box, which is defined in your profile. You can select your profile and edit this information by clicking on your name in the upper-left corner of the page, and then selecting your profile. The information is in the region of the lower there, and you can select the button Modify to the right of the information area you want to change.

  • Message stuck in the Outbox iPhone 6 s more than 128 GB

I have a message that's been stuck in the Outbox for weeks now. I tried to put the phone in airplane mode and I'm still getting the black and white pinwheel and impossible to delete the message. I have an iPhone 6 s more than 128 GB.  How can I remove this message that is slowing things down?

Try resetting your e-mail account. First close your Mail application completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and drag the email preview pane up until it disappears from the display. Then go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > find your e-mail provider and click on the account. On the next page, delete the account. Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. Then go to settings > mail... and to add the account.

  • photos of e-mail stuck in the "Outbox".

I had strange problems with my new iPhone SE.  This is one of them.

I have a Gmail account set up on my iphone.  He sends and reads e-mail very well.

but when I try to send a photo to the photo app, it does not send the photos sometimes and it seems to be archived in the "Outbox" until I open the mail application and check the Outbox:

    1. open the camera app

2 Select the picture I want to send

    3. click the icon "send to."

    4. Select "Mail" and put in e-mail address to send

    5. press on "send".

    6. choose the size of the photo (I tried small, medium, large... all the same results)

    6. I get a 'discharge' sound, saying: it was sent.

but sometimes the e-mail message is not sent immediately and is cached in the Outbox.  Thus, after having, like, 10 minutes (time to allow any slowness in the network), I check the Mail app, go to the mailbox and look "Outbox", I see that it is an unsent messages stuck in the queue.  but when I opened the "Outbox" I briefly see the email with the photo accessory and then erased immediately...  THEN receives it.

This seems to happen most often when it is not on any WiFi network but only on the cell network.  but when I'm on WiFi network, or when I turn off the WiFi on the phone, it seems to send photos.

    Any idea what might happen?

Not much on Apple forums, but on the Android forums - it is reported as a problem with the servers of Google se

Don't know why it would be a problem with cell phone but work with WiFi

  • unsent message stuck in the Outbox of the 6s iPhone more

I tried emailing a recording from the voice memo application, and since this is a large file, it gave me the opportunity to use the mailbox or to send it as an attachment. I chose to mail and email appeared in my account email, Outbox, but not sent. He is stuck in the Outbox, with the turning wheel apparently indicating that the email is sent. But the hours have elapsed. I can't stop the process. I want to delete the message, but the Edit button is grayed out (inactive). How can I stop the wheel spinning, stop trying to send and delete the pending message stuck in my Outbox?

Try this: airplane mode, reboot the phone, and then try to delete the mail in the Outbox (or draft).

It happened to me and solved my problem.

  • 1 email stuck in Outbox - how to remove?

I have an email stuck in my Outbox to the iPhone (now for 2 weeks) 6. There the circle dotted mobile next to him when I try to open it - I don't really know for sure that I created it-all that it shows is a URL to a site I have ever visited.

I restarted the iPhone several times during this period.

I looked on my Mac and they don't show anything in the Outbox. I even signed in iCloud.com to see if it would appear there so I could remove it-not here.

I have the latest version of iOS 9 all updates. Nothing else really showing problems with another iPhone that pretend have less battery life...

Any ideas how to deal with this?

    Thank you

    Tom

Go to flight mode, then the email will stop trying to send the message. And from there, you can remove your email not sent. If the circle always in motion even if you already spend on airplane mode, try to restart your phone. It works for me. Good luck!

  • I have 3 short videos I tried emailing stuck in Outbox of my iPhone 6. They tried to send more than an hour. I can't delete them, "Change" is not available in the Outbox. How can I get rid of these so mail will stop trying?

I have 3 short videos I tried emailing stuck in Outbox of my iPhone 6. They tried to send more than an hour. I can't delete them, "Change" is not available in the Outbox. How can I get rid of these so mail will stop trying?

Can drag you across the message in the Outbox overview to get the Red delete button? It's been a while since I had paste an email in the Outbox, so I don't remember if that's possible.

IF your account is an IMAP account, try to delete the e-mail on the Mac. Actions sync between devices in IMAP email, so they should be in the Outbox on the server and you should be able to get to them in the Mail from Mac application, use you it, or in a web browser on the server.

IF this is not possible for some reason, try the mail application to the phone reboots and the closing force force the phone and then try again. Press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used. Blow up the Swipe on application brief mail app to close

To force the reboot your device, press and hold the two buttons of sleep/wake and home for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

  • Emails stuck in the Outbox

I was emailing and backward with a friend yesterday on my iPad when my mail out suddenly started to get stuck in the Outbox. I could still receive emails fine, but was not able to send something. I have reset everything, deleted and readded my e-mail account, back to factory settings and still nothing works. It is not a problem with my email provider because I still have my account through Google /safari and send / receive email through that, I can't use the iPad for sending mail messaging function. I can access the Outbox and delete those here but they is not enough (I get a message saying unable to send at this time).

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Check your e-mail account again. Make sure you have a user name and password entered for the outgoing e-mail server. Add the user name and password for the outgoing e-mail server even if it is suggested that the info is optional.

  • I have an email stuck in my Outbox and it doesn't allow me to delete

I tried to send a video attachment from an application. The email is now stuck in my Outbox (iCloud) on my iPhone and I can't remove it. It will not slide to display the tab remove red. How can I remove and stop "spinning" away? Thank you

I know this thread is a bit old, but just in case someone finds it here is the solution:

    (1) put the iPhone in airplane mode

    (2) open the Mail app

    3) go to the Outbox

    (4) click on edit, click on the circle next to the message stuck to select

    5) click on Delete

    (6) take the iPhone out of airplane mode

    (7) back to the email application.  :-)

  • Message stuck in Outbox - request Email Alert

I have a message that was in my Outbox with the error sending from appearing in the notification area of th. I've dleted the Outbox message but it is yet to appear and it drain the battery because the pre is trying to send it repetivily. Is it possible next to restore the phone to its original state to clear the outgoing message stuck to the queue?

I wouldn't go as far as zapping the phone while. But I might be tempted to delete and recreate that email account. Deleting should zap the Outbox as part of the cleanup. Create should bring a new.

If there is another less draconian, someone please go in now. I wanted to save the entire phone zap.
