  For example, I want to change the shape of rectangle to oval, press and hold on the shape of rectangle (default) will not give access to the other options of shape.  Or, for another example, the text tool will not allow access to type on a path options.

  Can someone help me on this? I performed a brand new PC and CC (the most recent copy) Illustrator.

• Illustrator CS6 tool stuck typing vertically

  Hello... All of a sudden, my tool of type start typing only vertically. I can't get it back to normal.

  I tried to reset the tool, double control of the orientation (horizontal is checked) and make sure the vertical text tool is NOT selected... I tried to reset the workspace, restart Illustrator... but whenever I start typing, he wrote upwards.

  Any suggestions on how to fix this? I have no idea how it got this way. Thanks in advance for any advice.

  According to me, maybe it's time for the list; strangenesses can occur by themselves.

  The following is a general list of things, try when the question is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media. You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

  If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you can find the file here:

  5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

  (6) (check the box to delete the preferences), run the cleanup tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC) to uninstall and reinstall.

• Illustrator - Ellipse tool works not properly

  Hello

  totally new to Illustrator, so probably a silly question, but I really don't know what to do at this point.

  All of a sudden during the use of the ellipse, rectangle,... tool, during the drawing of the object, it shows the path (pls see photo below). Something obviously clicked / lit a few features that I shouldn't, but I do not know who and how.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

  I am faced with a weird problem (or feature) maybe, I can't shoot anything in Illustrator. Whenever I have search and drawing tool say rectangle, ellipse or the line... I click on work plan once and drag it at some distance, instead of creating the object, Illustrator creates an uncountable number of objects that overlap the other... from the first click (pressed) at the exit of the mouse. How to fix it.

  The presenter in the video does not go on the tool. It does nothing to random. What makes random can be irregularities when you click exactly the same point by clicking several times. And you can introduce irregularities when use you it with a Wacom and select the option "use pressure pen.

  Most likely, she did both:

  1 use the pressure with a Wacom pen

  2. click on several times.

  Some problems could be solved by updating Illustrator to the latest version: 19.1 (check "On Illustrator")

  I copied images of 3 different layers in Photoshop into Illustrator. One is an overview, another is a color fill and the last is a filled ellipse. When you try to use the eyedropper tool to get a color used in the fill color, it does not only show black or white. But he'll be looking for the fill color of the ellipse. It captures the other colors in the end document that I drew in Illustrator.

  Any idea what I need to do to make this work? I am at a loss.

  Thanks Mike!

  I think I knew what was going on. The pipette was picking up only the color of the outline layer so only became black when on a sketch and white when it is on the color fill area. If I delete the outline and left only the fill color and the pink background, the pipette works. The outline was blocking the pipette to access to the color fill. Don't know exactly how it works as the outline is not filled with color (obviously, otherwise the color fill below wouldn't show through). It is not completely transparent - it is just a preview.

  They are all copied to a new document on the same layer, but grouped. So I have to either remove the outline layer or disable in the - I'm not sure of the terminology here - layers that are in the layer (?).

  I used pen a tool to create a logo and then I brought to another file of a rounded star. I want to remove my logo on the form, but whenever I do, it subtracts strangely and all wobbly, not as I designed it. Any help?

  OK, I see. Select and expand the star before subtracting. The rounded effect you have on the star is applied to the letter as well.

• Stuck in CC 2014 hand tool

  On both of my Mac, both under the latest versions of the Mavericks and Photoshop CC 2014, the hand guard tool stuck after use. It is getting worse. I appear to switch to another tool based on the toolbar, but it does not behave like the tool. Just the hand tool.

  
  

  I have the following without success:

  • Activating/Deactivating the hand with the H hotkey tool, space bar and clicking.
  • Reset the preferences.
  • Reinstall Photoshop and same Mavericks.
  • Switch to a different keyboard.

  I restart Photoshop. Sometimes it works, but it might take three or four restarts. Sometimes I have to restart my Mac.

  A Mac has a Wacom Tablet; We do not. The file size has no importance.

  What Miss me and what I can do? This is a major bug. I had the same issue in the CC, but only rarely. I have never seen this before CC. I see in the forum that others have posted about this on the different versions. There must be a way to get Adobe to watch this and other positions.

  If the problem is not corrected by restarting Photoshop and reset preferences - then the problem exists outside of Photoshop.

  It could be a bad keyboard (stuck key), a utility of the OS (such as support services), a utility program, a bug in a driver (as a driver of the Tablet), malware or even a bug in a third party plugin (no longer).

  Other users will not see this. It is not likely to have a bug in Photoshop.

  Previous posters to similar problems have found the cause on their system: bad keyboards, MacOS support services, bad tools, bad drivers, etc.

• Illustrator CS5 tool move runs in the background

  I use the tool Selection/move a lot in Illustrator, but it never happened in CS3 or CS4: if I select a brand or a form to move a specific amount, click the selection arrow to specify the distance by placing a sign less if I want the object to move down to the screen when I click OK, the object moves up to the screen. What is the new, improved, Illustrator? I mean, well, I can get used to changes in the conventions, but isn't this kind of unlikely change? Are there not other improvements in the application? Is it me, or is it Illustrator?

  For me, the problem is clearly the gap appear but I do not understand why it appeared, when as shown in image 2, I clearly I paint complete lines.

  Please check if the lines (at least one of them) with a filling.

  Hello. I have a HP Pavilion 1d21ca g6. I think he was under windows 7.   Thanks for responding. I tried this as well and the power was restored to my laptop, but the first problem has always remained. I found myself there are clips and the technician said that the hard drive is damaged. It's still under warranty so they will replace the drive. I hope that no more problems! Thanks again.
