• Disk utility reports hurt his stats in recovery mode

  I have a 2 TB HD in my iMac which is only about 10% full.  Disk utility reports 1.81 TB free, just like in the finder get info tab.  My Time Machine backups are about 190 GB in size as well.  All of this is consistent.  When that I start by pressing command-R however, disk utility reports that the HD is full.

  I bought a new SSD and that you want to replace with the SSD HD, so I need to restore to the SSD HD, then Exchange.  The SSD is only 500GB, then disk utility fails restore - he thinks that there is not enough room.

  I have not found any rider near nore banks memory anywhere else.

  So I disassemble the laptop as shown on youtube. After removing all the screws and disassemble the keyboard, I finally reached the RTC battery. 2 buttons near the battery SW2 and SW3. I tried everything, remove the battery, used the 2 buttons (one after the other, both together,...), with battery, no battery. Nothing has worked. The laptop Switch, flashed briefly and the fan started and stopped again.

  In the end, I found the PDF of the laptop manual. I tried to do the Bios recovery procedure to start in mode 'crisis' as has explained.  Nothing woked. Even if she worked very well, I couldn't find any Rom by Acer file for the flash again.

  So I think that I'm stupid Handel with Acer laptops and will send it to Acer (to recycle :-) and close the post.

Now, I suggest that you first check the Win10 Device Manager and note devices and models numbers that seem to have problems. Because the laptop has more working network adapters, you must do a google search from another computer for updated Win10 drivers that you can download for each device problem. • Product key illegible on Acer laptop

  A friend had problems with his Acer laptop, and despite my best attempts to correct them the only option left was me to perform an 'upgrade' using my own CD of W7. This is fine, but the problem started when I tried to read the product key on the bottom of his laptop computer.

  Some characters are illegible and despite trying different I can't enter a valid key. I tried calling Acer but they keep no record of product keys for customer laptops.

  So, here we are licensed legitimately purchased and cannot activate it because the tag has become illegible. Here is a picture of what it looks like. I know there is a warning not to publish product keys, but it is unreadable.

• HP650 NEW GRAPHICS CARD, CANNOT FIND DRIVER

  A friend brought me his Acer Aspire S3 because he wasn't starting.   I found that the hard drive was dead.

  We bought a new Kingston SSD 240 GB and got the ACER recovery media.   The computer sees the new hard drive and the recovery media seems to copy all of the files required on the disc.  However when a dialog box appears which says: "do not change the BCD" when you click the ok button in the dialog box the computer restarts and if you try to boot from the hard drive, then you receive a message that says; "No boot device - please reboot".   System restart has no effect.

  I hope someone has a solution to this.

  When you run the recovery media, you are presented with 2 options.  We have to get the OS only and the other is to recover everything.   I was choose option 2 and it kept failing.  When I chose option 1, it seems to have worked.  The system was started from the new drive and is installing drivers.

  The Microsoft Teredo Tunneling adapter isn't a default device you see in Device Manager.

  Something else has created a problem on the system.
