Satellite A210 - 11-p some issues on Vista

Hello

I just bought a Satellite A210 - 11 p, waiting to be delivered.

Just wondering, could someone tell me which version of Vista is provided with the laptop (as in the 32-bit or 64 - bit). I noticed a certain manufacturers seem to be using 32-bit Vista with laptop computers that use Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Turion 64 X2s... Which is incredibly stupid as his note allowing the operating system to use the full potential of the processors.

Hope it does not come with Vista 64-bit... I'll be more upset if not.

In addition, they always use Norton Ghost to restore CD/DVD, or have Toshiba 'wised up-up' to the use of the MS Windows CD/DVD installation now?

See you soon,.

It is a 32-bit version. Laptop Toshiba computers are always delivered with the 32-bit OS.

I think the most recent recovery CD images are developed with own software called Reco

Upgrade the RAM, remove all unnecessary software and applications that are running in the context of the BONE.

If that doesn't help, buy a laptop with faster processor, more RAM, better graphics card, etc.  ;)

  • Downgrade from Vista to XP for Satellite A210-16F PSAEL

Other users of laptops from Toshiba greetings

I come to you with what I noticed to be a fairly frequent problem for users of Satellite A2xx - downgrade from Windows Vista to XP.

I am owner of a 2 - day old of a Toshiba Satellite A210 - 16F PSAEL (AMD processor) and Vista Home Premium crashes on me during the installation of an application. So I searched the forum and found a full list of the XP drivers for the series equipped with AMD (my thanks for people who have set up their discoveries). I also found a guide to downgrade to XP, but it was the Intel-based and intended for users A200.

My question would be if there is such a guide out there for the A210 series, the AMD-based or could someone please indicate the steps to follow for the downgrade.

    Thanks in advance

Interested, too, that's why push this thread a little, aka a friendly BUMP ;)

  • "Satellite A210-171-freezing error event ID - Kernel-WHEA.

    Hello

In January 2008, I bought this laptop satellite (A210-171) and have during the month or so it started to freeze, and the only solution is a hard re boot, after which it is fine for awhile. I fear that I will lose all my data or it will go wrong at the wrong time and so I would like to get it fixed.

According to Event Viewer, it's Kernel-WHEA Event ID 2

Does anyone know any task etc that may fix this problem?

    Thank you

    Hello

Laptops or the OS can freezes for different reasons.
The freezing system can be caused by a faulty memory, but this issue could also be related to corrupt software.

If you, it would be very interesting to know if the system hang after a clean install. ?:|

I have a Satellite A210. I installed Xp and Vista and I n t notice serious trouble with the laptop.

In my opinion, you should study a bit.

    Hello!

I am a semi-professional user. Last year, I bought a portable Satellite A210 - 11L with HD2400 and Windows vista operating system. When I m using my laptop suddenly the display become the white or with lots of vertical lines, and after a second becomes return and the laptop no response and I have to reset.

Maybe that's the problem of my chart, but I don't know m.
Help, please! It is horrible to work and I don't know when the crash of the laptop!

    Thank you

    Hello

I'm afraid that no one here will be able to say with certainty why this happen. It may be because of the graphics card or the screen is perhaps responsible for that. What you can do is to test it with the external monitor. If the problem is the same on external monitor this certainly because of the faulty graphics card.

The nearest authorized service provider is the person just for these issues.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite A210 - 11K: Vista blocks the use of IE and internet

    Hello

I'll keep this short. I have the Satellite A210 - 11K with Vista Home Premium. Basically, when I installed SP1 and the other all other updates, use Internet Explorer and all other related programs has been blocked EXCEPT MSN Messenger, which proves that I could connect to the internet. To run the system restore, I could use internet proving that updates are the cause of the problem.

However, I can no longer perform the system restore, and I'm stuck with SP1 and no internet.

I tried everything Microsoft Tech Support phone for 40mins, uninstallation of different updates, play with the internet settings, change the settings in msconfig etc...

A friend of mine who is very good with the PC found that port 80 is blocked (apparently this port is very important) and my laptop is by allowing a DNS (or something...)

I need help so if anyone can help, thanks in advance 1 million

    Felix

Have you tried to find the solution to your internet provider?

They should have some experience with these issues.
To be honest I don't see the connection between the laptop to the manufacturer and your problem and I think you should contact your internet service provider. It must be a problem with the settings.

  • Satellite A210-171 - curriculum vitae of Vista failed

Satellite A210-171 running Windows Vista 32-bit Home.
At the start, I have Windows RESUME loader screen showing error and asking to choose either 'continue with system summary' or 'Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu. BUT the keyboard does not respond (not even to select the caps lock). Must turn off switch to restart.

All on a touch after the startup splash screen Toshiba produces a blank screen (same f8 and other function keys).
Tried default BIOS settings to no effect.

This problem occurred a few months before and has been resolved by wiping of hard disk and put on a fresh copy of windows from a CD of Vista. Now, it's back--cannot keep from scratch!

To be honest I n don't know what can be the reason of this problem. If you don t have some important data saved to disk HARD reinstall Vista with recovery DVDs.
When bring you your laptop, press F12 to enter the boot menu, put the recovery DVD in the optical disc drive, choose the CD/DVD drive in the menu and press ENTER.

Just follow the menu on the screen and reinstall Vista.

By the way: this model works perfectly with Win7 32 bit so if there is a possibility, I recommend you to use Win7.

  • Satellite A210-14 and Windows 7 - driver issues

    Jyn

I use the Satellite A210 + 14 years with Vista at the moment, but I want to install the Windows7 in next time.
But in the list of supported models is not Satellite A210 Series (http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9902P50000R01DE.htm) is there no Driver Support for Windows7 and the series A210, or would the A210 don't run with Windows7?

I found on the website of some drivers (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU) but I think that these drivers for all the hardware? I've read anything about SDcard touchpad driver or driver chipset drivers...?

    Thanks for your replies

    Hey Buddy

    Don t worry!
All you will get for Win 7!

I installed Win 7 on my A210 and Win 7 recognized most of the devices.
In addition, I installed the VAP (additional package) for Satellite A300 and installed the support flash Cards out to Satellite L500 utility. The flash card tool is important for the FN keys.

WLan, LAN and graphics driver have been recognized by Win 7.
But you can also use the Win 7 driver automatic installation option in the Device Manager, choose the device, and then choose Update driver
The first option will allow you to search for a driver updates automatically option s nice!

  • Satellite A210-19 t: win 8 beta is a nightmare, but I can't go back to Vista.

    Hello

I could really do with some help.

I was part of the fools who decided to try Windows 8 a few months back to find that I can't seem to turn the tide and now my laptop is basically useless for me.

I can't seem to find a disk to reboot, but I'm not even sure I got one in the first place.

What I read online, Toshiba put everything on one partition and access you by pressing a shortcut when loading the machine upward.

I tried, but the wonderful new Windows 8 will not let me access, should it even be there in the first place.

I have a valid computer with a valid serial, etc. I want just the old BONES of return as soon as possible.

I put my paper in on the support page and that's what he said, I have:

    Satellite A210-19 t

    Part number: PSAFGE-03V011EN

    Main features

    -AMD Athlon X 2 Dual - Core TK-57 processor
-Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition
-Drive DVD Super Multi (Double Layer)
    -2 048 (1 024 + 1 024) MB
    -15.4 "WXGA TFT display 1 280 x 800

Please help me to get my laptop to its previous state.

    Thanks in advance.

    > From what I've read online, Toshiba put everything on one partition and access you by pressing a shortcut when loading the machine upward.
That of right, but you will have access to this partition with factory only. Problem is that after the clean version of the OS that you will not be able to start the installation of HARD drive recovery.
    > I have a valid computer with a valid serial, etc. I want just the old BONES of return as soon as possible.
Correct, but this valid serial number belongs to the operating system that you got with your laptop. In operating manuals Toshiba s is described clearly how portable computer owner should create recovery DVDs and backup the original recovery image. Using this drive you can install recovery image whenever you want.

If you n t have it there are only two possibilities:
-to order a new one from https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx (it will not be free)
d ' install own OS (you cannot use the sticker series)

Sorry, but it's a bit complicated now.

  • Satellite A210 - 103 Win XP installation issues

    Hello

I have read some threads in this forum, but I have a few questions:

    (a) I want to shrink the Vista partition to a XP partition with Vista tool, but how do I get two 'C' managed partitions the Vista partition can not see the XP partition and the partition XP cannot see the Vista partition

    (b) I have read that this laptop has an Intel 965 chipset which is a surprise for me because the laptop has an AMD processor

    (c) when the laptop has an Intel 965 chipset I need a version of driver Intel Matrix Storage Manager 7.0.0.1020 and a USB floppy drive

    (d) I found a lot of drivers on the download site for XP Toshiba but I was surprised to read in the information about the update of the bios that the bios is compatible for laptops with Windows Vista! :
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_bios.jsp?service=EU

So I'm not shure I can install Windows XP on the laptop.

    Hello

    (1) you can hide the partition remove the letter from readers. This is possible in disk management.
I have two OS on my laptop and I was able to hide the Vista partition in Windows XP. I've simply removed the letter of the partition of the panoramas.
But I was not able to hide the XP on Vista OS partition. Vista said that it is not possible anyway

    2) there are different A210 laptop and some come with Intel processors and supports Intel chipset and some A210 are fitted with a MPA CPU and supports the AMD M690V chipset. Laptop Satellite A210-103 doesn t supports the Intel 965 chipset. It supports AMD M690V.

    (3) you need SATA driver manager storage a: If you want to install the XP.
But I ve got a laptop with AMD and AMD M690V chipset CPU and installed my XP without the driver SATA.
That's what I can say about it

    (4) the BIOS is configured for the Windows Vista operating system, but this does not mean that you didn't be able to install XP.
I installed XP on a Vista laptop and it works ok.

    Good bye

  • Satellite A210-downgrade from VISTA to XP Pro SP2 - unknown base system device

I recently bought a laptop. On the Toshiba product page, it is listed as Satellite A210-199 (PSAFGE-05M00FG3). If I followed the link to the drivers page, he is listed as Equium A210 (PSAFGE-05M00FG3).

the laptop came with VISTA Home premium, I don't like / want, but works perfectly. After complete installation of Windows XP SP2 home edition Professional, (latest updates, all the drivers of Toshiba home page, etc.), hardware device Manager lists a "DEVICE BASIC SYSTEM" under "system devices", for which he cannot find drivers (Yes, it automatically searches on the internet and that did not help either).

I tried to uninstall the device and restart it, just to see what happens. And I got the ball from the standard taskbar with 'new hardware found '. Windows still do not find the drivers for it, and it still lists as a yellow exclamation in the hardware device manager. The only difference is that now he is no longer in the "system devices" section, but instead, it's an "unknown device" in the "other devices" section (you know, the big icon question yellow mark)

After a thorough cleaning is reinstalled, it is always an "unknown device" under the heading "other devices."

EDIT: maybe I should also mention that when I install graphics and sound card, says windows drivers I changed some important system files and I have to put the original cd with kit WXP SP2.

Have you installed all the drivers provided on the European driver Toshiba page?

I mean divers for card reader controller, AMD processor driver, Driver Modem, infrared Driver, etc.

    Please check all these drivers!

I had a similar problem a while ago but instead of doing nothing, the splash screen appears, and then Vista displays the message "ATI CCC has stopped working".

    Any ideas?

    Hey,.

If Catalyst Control Center won t open, it could be something wrong with the display driver I would recommend reinstalling the the official website of Toshiba display driver:

Simply search your laptop model and download the new version. Before installing, remove the old first and restart your laptop. Then install the downloaded version.
