Stuttering in Windows XP, the mouse works in safe mode

Having a problem where my mouse is stuttering and getting hung-up constantly, tried with another mouse, same question. Everything works fine in safe mode, so I thought it was a problem with something in msconfig, no other startups don't aid (including diagnosis) plans. Reformat the drive, reinstalled windows XP, same question immediately, before XP was even born, so it may not be a new conflict driver or something. There is no change to the computer before the problem started, just appeared on a restart.

Hello

Log on to the computer manufacturer website and update the latest drivers for chipset, BIOS (Basic Input\Output System). Also, look for other updates to the device driver.

  • After the upgrade to 27.0.1 do not scrolling the mouse work.

System Windows 7. In Options > general > browsing checked AutoScroll use & use of smooth scrolling.

    Hi Vadia,

Thanks for posting your question, and I'm sorry to learn that your scroll has stopped working. Please check your control panel to see if the mouse works properly * while Firefox is open.

Also, please try to disable graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
    • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
    • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

installed a keyboard and wireless mouse and the mouse works fine, but the keyboard types the wrong keys! Any ideas? Thank you

Wired or wireless - is usually not serious unless the wireless can get more interference.  If the keyboard is close to the receiver which is connected to the computer and you get the strikes hurt - my suggestion is to try first the keyboard on another computer.

To do this, * not * require you to install specific drivers.  Simply unplug the combo of a computer and in the other and see if the keyboard works correctly.  Then, you can troubleshoot from there.

I tried the system restore. It shows a file as OS (C :) and another as recovery (x :). I chose the recovery (x :) as file control. He has worked and showed a message like system restore successfully in safe mode. But the normal mode of sill is freezing after the password screen.

  • Leave the mouse works all of a sudden

    Original title: mouse problem

    Hello

Today, my mouse works fairly suddenly.  I had not installed a new software or hardware which could have come into conflict with the mouse.  In addition, I tested in the other USB ports on my computer nothing works.  The mouse works on our family another computer, is not that the mouse is broken.  Other USB devices on my computer work always correctly, so I am at a loss as to why the mouse leave so suddenly. In addition, it seems that the system restore lacks the previous points can I restore, while the option is out.

Do that, does not work.  I noticed that I have a Code 43 error in Device Manager now if that helps at all.  I tried to reinstall my chipset also for USB drivers, but that did not help either.

{edit} I managed to solve the problem.  It seems that my 1394 port was interfering with my ports USB in a certain way.  I tried uninstalling the driver for that and restart and now the mouse works fine.  Thank you very much for your help!

  • Mouse and keyboard only work in safe mode... why?

Or work on restoring normal operation and all the images are blurred. Said one-stop two players work under ms - back! Someone help me?

If it works in safe mode it looks like it's the drivers. because in safe mode, it uses only basic MICROSOFT DRIVERS... go in safe mode, go to the DEVICE MANAGER (right click on computer and click on MANAGE then click on allow or continue if prompted, and then click Device Manager).

under the heading of the keyboard device, click on the '+' and then right click and uninstall all THE items in the CATEGORY of the KEYBOARD and click OK on all messages

    then

under mouse/mice and other input devices , click on the '+' and then right click and uninstall all THE items in the CATEGORY of the mouse/mice and other input devices and click OK on all messages.

    Then

Reboot and allow devices to relocate

  • wireless mouse does not work in safe mode. I am informed by Logitech, it is a matter of microsoft HID. What now?

I run XP and IE. You will need to use the mouse in safe mode. normally works in normal mode.

Logitech says it's a matter of Microsoft HID.

It is literally true, but incomplete and very misleading.

    See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310496

To work around this problem, use a keyboard or a mouse, instead of a USB keyboard or mouse.

    This behavior is by design.

In the case of USB input devices, so that they work in safe mode, the system must have a BIOS with USB support for input devices and USB legacy mode must be enabled.

NOTE: USB devices are not loaded in safe mode, unless the manufacturer requests and provides BIOS support for the USB device in addition to input devices.

Check your BIOS for the applicable USB settings.

    Hello

The fact that it does not work with a clean install starts to point to some kind of hardware problem, although it is strange that he will run in Mode without failure.

Click with the right button on the taskbar, select Manager tasks, click the Startup tab - right click on each entry in turn and select Disable.  Once completed, restart the computer and see if there is no change.

An update of the bios (F.39 Rev.A) is also available on the Product Page , which can be useful if you have not already done it - if you decide to apply, make sure you unplug all the devices (including the usb keyboard) before starting the update.

  • My Acer Aspire 4736ZG stop each time I start and will work in safe mode

This problem has been some time now. Whenever I turn on my computer notebook (Acer Aspire 4736zg) close at boot (windows loading screen) and it really means not freeze SHUT DOWN or restarts... He likes to lose power. It only works in safe mode. Installation of Windows 7, 8 CD cannot start (stop as above).
I did everything: fixing driver, scan virus, chkdsk, update BIOS even install new windows... The problem still there. I tried install Joli OS (Linux) to have a chance but does not work (always closed).

    All ideal for my problem?

    P/S: sorry for my English

At this point no matter what the problem he is going to need repair. If it happens with more of an OS which pretty much eliminates the possibility of a software problem. I would still say that it is probably overheating, or there is a problem with your graphics card. However, you will need to speak with Acer on this one.
