  In the search for single source layouts, I recently discovered that I can generate a Word document that contains all the text menu drop-down in a topic. Good news! I can create lists of repeating instructions and generate directly to Word for printed documents.
  
  So I tested quickly this by creating a new project, creating a hotspot of menu drop-down which contained instructions to fleas and generating printed documentation that included the text of the menu drop down. Voila! Everything went well in Word.
  
  So far so good. Of course, I want my scrolling text to have a cameo in my books online and another appearance in my printed documentation. Easy enough: I can generate printed documentation, make the changes in Word, save the Word file as a template, and then use the model whenever I need to generate printed documentation.
  
  So far so good! Well, actually... not very good. See, I have a strange but reproducible models Word problem: the first element in each expandable list (i.e., a spot of menu drop-down with bullets) includes an extra space before the paragraph, and the last item in each such list includes an extra space at the bottom of the paragraph. This problem does not occur when I generate documentation printed from a new project, either he does when I change style in Word after the first generation of printed documentation. No, this little Critter will appear once I created a template, save the template, and then use it to build my next series of printed documents.
  
  So, to recap:
  
  1. can I create drop-down hotspots very well in RoboHelp.
  2. I can create bulleted lists very well in RoboHelp.

  6. I can choose the model very well when creating documents in Robohelp.

  And here's the kicker: according to the word, there is no extra space added to the paragraph. But extra space is visible to the naked eye, it is obvious when you triple - click an item that is inconvenient to highlight the paragraph, and it shows how far it is printed. Word, however, insists on the fact that this spacing is not there.
  
  Before the usual array of suggestions, well, suggests, let me highlight the following points:
  
  1. I'm not management RoboHelp in the network.
  2. my project is on my hard drive.
  3. I use only the buttons HR to create bulleted lists.
  4. I'm not apply styles list to my bulleted lists (i.e., the style is 'Normal').
  5. I tested this several times with new projects.
  6. I use the latest versions of Word and RoboHelp.
  
  Now, I can easily work around this problem: I can create my model without the drop-style set, and I can change the style whenever I generates documents printed; I have no problems with other styles, so I'm fine otherwise. But I would like to know (a) if someone has seen something like this before and (b) the question of whether someone has a solution. (For the record, I am not yet ready to accept "uninstall and Reinstall RoboHelp" as a solution.)

  Peter tinkered with the files I sent to him, and found a solution. Namely: card style "drop-down menu" to normal during the generation of the file. This action solves the problem perfectly! Very good work by Peter, that this problem is not easy to spot - Word insists on the fact that the drop-down text style is not used in the document. In addition, Word insists on the fact that no extra space has been added before or after the text of the menu drop down. Bravo!

• How can I change the default settings of the line spacing in Word Pad to: unique, space no space after a paragraph

  I need to change the default line spacing values to: simple space and NO space after a point, but it doesn't seem to be a way for that.

  Press Ctrl + A to select your entire file, and then click the paragraph Options (the button at the bottom right in the paragraph on the Home tab group).  Uncheck "Add 10pt space after paragraphs."

  To create new documents this setting is already selected, follow these steps:
  1 - Create a new empty file, then follow the steps above to disable the spacing option.
  2 - save the file in the folder C:\Windows\ShellNew with a file name as "new WordPad file.
  3 - follow the steps on this support page to create a link from the context menu to create a new file based on this template: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/140333
  4. whenever you want to create a file with this option already set, just right-click on your desktop or in a folder and choose New > WordPad file.

  Does anyone know of a script that will create a list of paragraph styles in a document and all the specifications of formatting to the paragraph styles? If not, is there a third-party utility available that would list for example?

  I'm looking for something for InDesign that has a similar function to the plug-in for Adobe FrameMaker, called paragraph tools, manufactured by Silicon Prairie Software.

  Sorry for the lame question... I thought I had followed the instructions of tech note to do this, but I get a long document of the paragraphs themselves, not the style names. What is the secret to generate a list of paragraph styles actually used in a document (not the catalog of available styles)?

• Weird happening with line spacing

  I work in a document (a magazine) that someone else created from a template. So who knows what weird stuff that lurks beneath the surface. I'm doing something really basic - change the line spacing of 12 points to 13 points - but for some reason some, if it says 13 points, it pops up about double-spaced. I tried to make the change via the control panel and the paragraph style and no dice so be it. I have either had supertight or text much too far apart. Any ideas what could be binding the styling in this way?

  Found. This is the function 'snap to grid ', which I had never used or seen before. If turned off and I'm in control of spacing!

• How to change line spacing in a text box?

  I can change everything in changing global Styles, but I want to change the spacing between the lines for one of my boxes of text, just for this box. Can't seem to find a way to do it. To be more precise, in a page of text, some lines of text are single-spaced, and some are typed double-spaced. I don't know how it happened, and I don't know how to cancel it. I want that it all be single-spaced. If I click on 'Edit Page content' and then select the text, I get a menu bar, things I can do with this text. But none of this seems to control line spacing.

  There is actually a difference in spacing of text - Maj + entry is a single line, enter is a paragraph break. You may need to adjust the spacing in this way!

  Whenever I have create a fill-in-the-blank question slide in Adobe Captivate, the line spacing of the text box to fill-in-the-white past by 1 point (which is what is said in the slides model) to 2.2 pt. I can say that changes, because the sign more appears next to the name of the style in the Properties tab. I can not change the line spacing to below 2.2pt, but I can do the larger line spacing. I want to set the line spacing to 1.25pt, but it won't let me! If someone could tell me what happens, or could give me a solution, it would be great!

  It isn't really pt, do not know why they added it's unity, in EM. I was informed by the team because they need more space for the drop-down lists. Minimum space is 2.2em. Sorry, only the recommendation is to replace the default FIB a custom in which you are using BER or the Interaction of scrolling text for whites.

  My problem is related (I think my lists could also be to behave oddly due to them being possibly paragraph style lists), but a little different so I wanted to create a new thread rather than adding my questions on this subject.

  To illustrate my problem, I typed the text, highlight it then selected the style in the Styles drop-down list to apply to highlight text. What is the result:

  Note that for the unordered list, there is a code to make the ball a square ("' list style: square;" ") and for the list sorted, there is code to format the numbers ("font family: Verdana, without serif;").

  So here's my question: what can I do to correct the code above and make it work properly as it does in RH7? Here is what looks like the same list in RH7, correctly display, using exactly the same code. Thanks in advance for any help!

  

  No sweat. To fix the problem yourself, but there is a problem with the case of your styles. (Name of CSS class selectors are case-sensitive for documents XHMLT).

  Edit your css, like this:

  LI. P-UnorderedListFirstLevel,

  LI.p - UnorderedListFirstLevel {}

  LI P-OrderedList.

  {} LI.p - OrderedList

  This should solve your problems.

• Modifyling line spacing

  I use Dreamweaver MX 2004. I have a list of Navigation in the vertical layout table left by using a style that I created, called Navlist. It works fine with the plane, etc. The only thing I don't like is that the spacing between lines of text is too narrow. I used a < br > return. If I use a < p > return it is far too. Is there a way I can use, change the style with the css Panel to increase (or decrease) the spacing slightly?

  spacing on my WordPad document in single line spacing to double spacing. How should I do?

  I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below.

  a. Select the text which you want to remove the double spacing. This can be a sentence, paragraph or the entire page you want to edit.

  b. hold down the control (Ctrl) key and press the number 1 at the same time. This should change the spacing of double room to single space.

  c. repeat the process in other parts of the document where you want to remove double spacing in WordPad.

• Reformatting line spacing in Windows Mail

  All of a sudden, when I composed an e-mail message in Windows Mail and press enter, double spaces. It's never happened before and I don't know how to reformat the line spacing to give me only spacing when I hit the button enter. Does anyone have a solution or a fix?

• Point homescreen today line spacing

  I'm trying to create a simple today more home screen for my Storm2.  Everything works fine, except that I can't figure out how to change the line spacing for the homepage screen today items such as elements of Message, calendar items, etc., which would pass the each of the individual Articles in each category as close together vertically.  I can change the font, but I can't resize the mounting frames.  I thought that is going to change the line spacing.  I've seen themes that have a different line spacing, so I think that this is possible, but I can't seem to find how do in theme Builder.

  Edit: I use the 5.0.0.34 Theme Builder to create a theme for 95XX device.

  If you create one today by using the standard today model, then just change the font size to kind of work.  If you start a custom theme, you can adjust the vertical spacing then depends on the size of the caret.  I just created a new carat size of the font, that I wanted to, or you can just do a transparent .png of 1 x 1 pixel and use as your circumflex accent and that will solve your vertical spacing problems.  So, if you want really tight and small.  Start a custom style theme, and add the items today that you want, then circumnavigate caret.

• How to get a list following a line curve

  My apologies if this is a) very simple and b) has been asked before. It is not an easy thing to describe in a few words and research keep setting up information on how to turn around a circle of text!

  What I have to do is make a list bulleted items to follow a vertical and shallow S-shaped curve - IE so that the first letter of each line is in contact with the right side of the S. Who is? I hope it is very easy to do, but I can't work out how.

  I am in the age of darkness - using Photoshop CS5, but also have Illustrator, if it would be better for the task?

  This will give a big boost in the right direction...

  1. Choose the custom shape tool (it looks like a starfish).
     
  2. Choose the path from the drop-down list on the left side of the Options bar.
  3. Open the menu form in the middle right side of the Options bar.
  4. Click on the little gear on the top right and click on the banner and awards, then Add.
     
  5. Draw the s shape on the page.
  6. Select the Direct Selection tool.
  7. Click outside the shape to deselect.
  8. Gently pull each 6 anchor point until you get your S-shaped. In the photo below, start by dragging the right anchor to the right. Deselection from the previous step is important... the other five anchor points should be hollow so that they don't move until you drag the.
