Stylus supported - Yes or no?

I have this pen:
http://www.Motorola.com/us/consumers/Motorola-stylus-with-precision-tip/94675, en_US, pd.html

It came with my Xyboard 10.1. I got an Atrix running CM9 (ICS), and the stylus worked perfectly. I had read that ICS had native support for it. I tried on my HD Atrix and it is intermittent, with no reliable way of knowing what are the causes that it works. Any ideas of bike on it?

I don't really have to use it, just thought that I would realize - if she was supposed to work, it seems. If this isn't the case, it is in any case sorta

Hi mk1151,.

Nay. Stylus should not be supported / used we Atrix HD. Thanks for try though

  • Problem with the stylus?

    Hello:

I have a problem with my Thinkpad stylus. The pen does not screen, but there still effect. It is very annoying, because I need precision when using VNC apps like Splashtop.

The following link is the video I did to describe the problem.

I wonder if it is a hardware or software problem.

Just watched the video and it's actually what I'm talking about. This is a new feature.

  • The Surface RT will be all support stiletto?

I ordered a Surface just before RT and wondered what stylus support, if any, it will have? I don't know the Surface with Windows 8 pro will come with the stylus and use technology to block palm, but this same stylus works on the RT version, or will be stuck users using a stylus bulky as those that are available for the ipad? Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

Unfortunately, you're stuck with the bulky pen. Surface RT supports a stylus capacitive like the iPad or Android devices.

  • How to you turn off the finger entry in Windows 8?

As I understand it, disabling entry finger in earlier versions of Windows 8 was as simple as it was in Windows 7. But with the release of Windows 8 last week, this is no longer the case, and this solution no longer exists. Has been moved to a location more obscure or deleted entirely? To be clear, I (and many others) I try to disable the finger input while maintaining the features of stylus.

If all goes well, it is just as impossible as it may seem, a fix will be on the road in the week. The lack of this feature has converted nearly my tablet to nothing more than a neat toy. I'm strapping cardboard in my hand so that it is based on the screen is no not my slider flip out while I'm working in Flash!

    1. Yes, exactly. In Windows 7, the option is at the sight in the pen and touch settings. In Windows 8, that option is gone.

    2. Yes, I'm looking to disable the entry of finger while being able to use the stylus for input. Most of the options I found don't entirely disables the touchscreen.
    3. it's a Samsung 7 series Slate PC, model XE700T1A-A01US number.
Thanks for your help in advance! I was actually able to find a solution to work with some additional research, which took place in a thread here. Well, what causes a few major flaws as the impossibility to use the entrance at all on the screens as the login screen (for some reason, no stylus support here). Then of course, a much more elegant and more direct route to the option would be simply amazing for artists like me looking for this feature.
  • E-mail issues

Now, this is getting really really annoying. Apple dropped the ball here. I spent two hours and I can't save my outlook to mail.app account. I tried everything with imap and smtp addresses. Mail.app not stop saying "unable to verify the user name or password".  I deleted the keychain outlook password too. Set up an account costs simple e-mail you hours and that is completely unacceptable. You can simply not such a simple thing work. Totally frustrated. Is there a link that explains how to set up an outlook account in mail. There are dozens out there on the web and I am not advocating a kind of simple explanation 'add an account '. I try to add an imap account and get the error message. pop does not work I guess. Please can anyone provide a useful answer. Very annoyed.

What is an account of "Outlook"?

What type of account is the following: IMAP, POP, Exchange?

They are all supported - Yes, including POP, although crazy hidden way.

Have you tried to create the account in the system preferences-> Internet accounts?

Please give a detailed description of the steps you take.

FWIW, I have no problem creating e-mail accounts in the Sierra.

The speakers worked correctly between the update of El Capitan two weeks ago and today.  I did not any changes to the system since then.

The sound preferences pane shows only the internal speakers as an output option.  The computer works properly in all other respects.

I tried to reboot, reset the NVRAM, connecting headphones and Bluetooth reset via the Debug menu.  It seems the main symptom of the problem is the absence of Bluetooth as an output on the sound preference pane option, but I couldn't find any discussion about it.  (I assumed that Bluetooth speakers would be present as an option, although it does not mention preference help its component.)

Try resetting the SMC... might help, can't hurt.

    Hello

I just upgraded my HP Elitebook 9470 m from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I have the following problems:

    2. SD card reader not working not

I installed the latest driver (in the HP Web page) see below.

TITLE: Alcor Micro pilot smart card reader

    SoftPaq NUMBER: SP71725

    REPLACESP71304, no

SD card reader does not respond when SD card in and causes Explorer to stop working. In addition, whenever I have input SD card, internet (wifi) seems to stop working

    SoftPaq NUMBER: SP72041
    REPLACES: none, none

CATEGORY: Driver - keyboard, mouse and input devices

Left stick button behave strangely. When you click to open a new tab in Chrome, it opens several or a - maximizes the window.

    4 admin password of BIOS

I tried to install the update from the following BIOS

TITLE: HP Notebook System BIOS Update

    VERSION: F.62

    SoftPaq NUMBER: SP74061
ENTRY INTO force: 31 October 2015
    CATEGORY: BIOS
    SSM SUPPORTED: YES

    SUPPORTED DEVICES: N/A

However, it asks me the password of the BIOS, and I seem to have forgotten. Launching (F7) HP SpareKey, it turns out that my BIOS user has a SpareKey enabled, but the user admin does not work. I'm looking for the BIOS password to install the BIOS update?

I read responses indicating 'Reset BIOS default', or unpower battery CMOS. However, I have a dual boot with Ubuntu which I fear breaking. And I can't afford that as this is the only perfect way to use my laptop (compared to W10).

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    David

    Hello:

You need the driver for the base system device JMicron card reader.

The media JMicron card reader driver allows the card slot multimedia integrated in the laptop models running a supported operating system.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63637.exe

This would be the only issue that I can help you.

You need to contact HP technical support to get a sort of BIOS file they will send you to unlock the BIOS P / w.

I forgot what they call it.  Explain the situation... you need to unlock/reset the BIOS password you forgot.

There is a history tab of revision on the file of the mouse driver that displays the newer versions you may want to try...

  • HP ENVY 17 - 1190nr l 3D: recovery disks does not not for HP Envy 17 - 1190nr

My main HARD drive died. Toshiba 500 GB MK5056GSY was the 'C' drive factory installed. The laptop also has a "D" drive, which was the same exact brand, model and size.  (secondary HARD disk does not work at all. Long story, but I think it is a driver or a hardware problem with the motherboard)

I overwhelmed the secondary HDD at the location main, reformatted and reinstalled the operating system with the set of recovery DVD 7, SUCCUSSFULLY disks.  But, since I can't have a second HD to wor, I decided to spend the primary HARD disk capacity, so I installed a Seagate 1 TB HARD drive.  Now, I have reinstalled the operating system using the recovery discs 7 DVD and when the 7th finished disc, a window open warning that says "Recovery manager cannot restore your computer using the original image. "Please contact the HP support (Yes right, it's a joke) error code: 0xe0ef000e.

I also tried to install the operating system with the recovery of a 240 GB SSD disks. Same question.

BUT, the original secondary drive allows the operating system recovery 7 DVD image reset goes to work.

    WHY?

Finally, if I install a stand alone Windows 7 OS for the new Seagate 1 TB drive, it works fine.  The problem is that all additional drivers, programs etc. provided with the laptop originally are net, just a light version of Windows 7. The works of the OS, but the wireless, the blueetooth, readers of cards, etc. do not work. And missing a few programs that comes with the original image (some are too expensive to buy when I wouldn't need it again).

Thanks for any idea on this issue.
HP makes me very angry today.
