Subscription of Captivate
It was my understanding that the monthly subscription of Captivate, I paid for years included all updates - is this not the case for 9 Captivate? If not, why?
It includes CP9, simply install the trial version and will recognize your Adobe ID when you log in. You can have installed CP9 and keep an older version as well.

Subscription is not attached to the version of Captivate. You can download 9 Captivate and use the same subscription id. Make sure you disconnect from Captivate 8, as this is considered to be new use for instance of Captivate with the subscription ID.

Thank youLicenses are linked to an Adobe ID and a particular computer. You can deactivate the license on a computer in order to install and reactivate on another, but by changing the Adobe ID that the license is linked to seems to be a lot more trouble, obliging to contact Adobe Support.

I had to buy another laptop and know that I have to download Captivate 8 subscription and I looked in my adobe account settings and I see not all download links as if I had before. Help, please! I have to make changes to a customer experience build so I need to get this support as soon as possible.

The answer is no you must download and install the trial version of Captivate 9 when you are connected with your identification code Adobe then, she will see your subscription and license Cp9. You may have two versions of the subscription license on your computer at the same time, but not three.

Access subscription to Captivate 8
Can someone tell me how to access the latest version of Captivate subscribed a year? I'm still working on 7, and when I run updates it does not switch up to 8. And the adobe customer service chat does not work on this site.

Install the trial version, when you sign in with your Adobe ID, normally your subscription needs to be recognized. Do not pull on me, that's what I learned here on the forum.

Situation is that we work with captivate 7 and I guess that I can't work on my projects back and forth between Captivate 7 and 8.
So I need to work on 7 Captivate and NOT Captivate 8, it does not work for me!
More about Captivate 7 is within the limits of the version last two.
I look to me like a kind of attitude arrogant obstruction my job as an Adobe customer

Captivate v. Captivate subscription purchase
I need to clarify before purchase / subscribe to Captivate.
If my clients (a company that is dept will not allow a subscription) purchase Captivate 7 and I buy the subscription for 7 Captivate. I look at what kind of compatibility issues? Because Captivate seems to be the only Adobe prodcut is not backward compatible (which is dumb) will this cause issues me moving files back?

There is a difference between the upgrade and updates.
7.01 is and updated but Captivate 6 to 7 Captivate would be an upgrade.
There are no compatibility issues if you sign up and your client uses a perpetual license to the same version.

I have a subscription to Creative cloud and a separate subscription of Captivate. I use the cloud on a PC and Captivate on another PC. These two are working PC. I also use my subscription of cloud at home. When I go to work and try and open Captivate it forces me to disconnect other computers and reconnect. I don't have to House of Captivate. Never installed on this PC. Why do I have to disconnect other computers that use only the cloud when Captivate is not part of the creative cloud? I understand that Captivate and the creative cloud are both on the same ID, but they are not all part of the same package. And before you go, it doesn't matter what version of what whether, or what operating system I have, or what I'm trying to do (other than signing in). It is simply the Adobe ID, put in place.

Adobe think you a subscription used on 3 computers.
I'm not sure can someone help except if you change the related adobe id one of the two subscriptions, but if anyone can, it's adobe stafff.
