subsubsystem of closed spooler

I tried to print a photo under copyright & foreign pc lashed out & shot down my "Spooler subsystem. How can I return to work? I have Windows Vista & a Lexmark printer (3 months old). I am not pc literate. I don't know know to sign as an administrator, even though I see that I am the administrator for my pc 1 & only.

This Spooler subsystem has to do with more of my printer. I only could see the 1/2 of an adobe document. I was not allowed to delete cookies or defrag my pc.

In addition, they told me a rumor & I wonder if it's true. I have a pc HP & had a HP printer until it broke down. I was told that I will have problems over & over until I buy a new pc because of the mismatch. This small seeems & who would care?

Thank you!

Diana

Hi Diana,

You can try the following steps and check.

Step 1:

You can try to start the fixit printer and check.

http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/printing_problems/

Step 2:

Remove the printer and driver of spool files

To do so, start Microsoft Windows Explorer, and then delete all files and folders in the following two folders.

C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Printers

C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Drivers\w32x86

You can check out the following link and check if it helps:

Hope this information is useful.

  • Spooler subsystem app. has been closed to protect system

I ran the program of Mr. fixit from microsoft site.  seemed to fix my printer, but my printer seems to work very well, came back, nothing wrong. whenever I turn on my computer I get this message even. Spooler subsystem App and had to protect close system, have no problem closing the message window.  Don't know if this is important or how to fix it.  Help!  Thank you

Yes, I have Windows XP.  Well, when I boot message appears and I close the message and I have no problem printing.  The list of the icons in the "printers and faxes" are; HP deskjet 5600 series (and the checkbox), Microsoft XPS Document Writer, send to OneNote 2010.  I didn't know there is more than one "Mr. FixIt" program, I just followed a link that the error message was downloaded "Mats_Run.printing.exe" and opened it and keep running and it came to a point where he says that something like could not find no problem to solve.  Thanks for your help and your patience with my inexperience with this process; never been in the forum before.

I have not seen a situation as you describe it.  Usually, when there is a problem and the spooler stops it stays down. Can you identify what happened before this problem occurred first?

    Do you use Microsoft OneNote?

    Go to printers and faxes

Right-click on the icon for the DeskJet 5600, and then click Properties

    Click the Ports tab.

Use the scroll bar and see if there is an entry named "send to Microsoft OneNote Port:" and, if so, if there is a check in the box for this line.

Click Cancel to exit this dialog box.

Do the same for the XPS Document Writer

It might be interesting to check the programs that start automatically when you start Windows.  Download Autorunshttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx after Autoruns full analysis, as shown in the lower left corner, click the connection tab.  You'll probably at least three entries associated with HP.  Is there something else that seems to be related to printing or that looks like 'suspect' (I know that is vague; if you can't identify something, include its name in your response).

Also take a look at the tab "print monitors.  You will probably "HP standard TCP/IP port" and perhaps "PCL hpz3143a.  There may also be a port entry Bluetooth printer here.  Anything else?

Finally, if necessary, is listed under the tab "Winlogon".

  • Spooler subsystem app stopped working and was closed.

When spooler subsystem app stopped working and was closed, which is causing this problem and how can I reinstall it and continue to use my computer, I installed a new program on my computer?

    Hello

    1. What is the name of the program you are trying to install?

    2. you receive an error code?

    3. what happens when you try to print?

Please follow the links below to solve the problem.

    Method 1

    In Windows Vista:

    a. click on start

    b. click Control Panel, click programs and features,

    c. click on Turn Windows features on or off, expand Print Services, clear the LPR Port monitor check box and select the Internet printing Client, and then click OK.

If the steps are still not then continue to.

    Method 2

This problem may occur if a printer driver that is installed on the computer is damaged.

Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    Hello Lonny Jones,

Let's start by downloading the latest drivers and software from HP and see if that helps.

When you install the drivers, it is important to perform the following actions:

    1. remove the printer from the PC.

2 uninstall the printer from the PC driver.

    3 reinstall the printer driver.

    4 reinstall the printer.

    Hi ploegske,

This problem may be caused because the LDP port is disabled. Here is the solution:

    1. go in programs and features in Control Panel > on features Windows turn on or off

    2. click on + sign of printing services

    3. Select LPD and LPR. You must remove the Internet printing Client. > restart your PC to ensure there is no error in the spooler service.

    4. Add once again your printer driver.

    Hope this helps,

    Hello

Use this method to clear the spooler and then uninstall and reinstall your printer (check with the manufacturer for)
    the latest driver).

Check Mr. Fixits here and if you use the other methods go back and try again later.
