• Cliq: 2.1 live wallpapers and battery life

  I've just thought about it. We know all that our phones have the best battery life. Then when (and im talking WHEN) we get our long-lost Ecclair upgrade and have access to the wallpapers, wil live drain them the battery faster?

But as LW is a novelty for us, you would obviously add this battery consumption on top of what we get on our 1.5 Cliqs. We will therefore use practically more battery than before, but not too much.

  When you set your wallpaper, there are options such as 'Always', 'Community' and 'Live '. Make sure you select Live.

  Note that the Live wallpapers are available on the LOCKSCREEN and not the home screen.

  You can also adjust the sensitivity of touch 3D with settings > general > accessibility > Touch 3D

  I picked up Atrix a few days back and when I tried to use the existing Live wall paper (fall) that comes by default with the phone, the phone becomes unstable and screen begins to blink and if it works when it goes into lock mode and returns that it would have changed the paper painted normal default.

  Is there any setting I should do or what is the proplem with phone.

  Secondly, I feel the pic of camera White balance is off is there a way I can control exposure and whitebalance in the camera.

  After upgrading my iPhone to iOS 10, I noticed the gradation of the wallpaper in the home screen. Please refer to the pictures attached - it is clearly visible that the homescreen wallpaper is darker that lock screen wallpaper notwithstanding, it's the same image. Even in the wallpaper settings, it is shown as obscured. I find it quite annoying, but I have not found all the settings related to this darkening.   I have the same issue, but even more so because the live wallpapers are buggy. Try to set your wallpaper as a direct and then open and close the app Chooser. You will notice that the weak applies to the screenshot, that the system takes.

• Satellite L350 - videos with webcam are up to 5 GB!

  I have a laptop Satellite L350-17. In brief - trying to load a 5 min video recorded via the software assistant camera (pre installed again) on Toshiba on Youtube. Nothing happened... checked the size of the video and it's 5 GB! Then checked all videos and all around the same size. Obviously something not right?
  A video the same 15 seconds is up to 60 MB. A second video was 23 MB. Check all the settings better than I could and everything seems normal. The videos are saved in an avi file.

  Toshiba since nov 08 and then noticed that the quality of the photos and videos are very poor, even using the highest settings. Comparison of photos and videos in a notebook of the friends of the other manufacture and are perfect. It does not use camera assistant software. Only built in camera software.

  Please wait a moment you wrote on a poor quality video and photo, but don't forget that this is a webcam and not a digital camera for example. On webcams, you can t the same quality as on the camera!

  I have two laptop Toshiba Satellite A300 and Qosmio F50. I m satisfied with the quality of the webcam, but if I want to take pictures or videos that I use my digital camera. The webcam is as its name suggests for live-communication in my opinion.

  Anyway, if you want public a few videos, you need to convert videos in MPEG file as Luke suggest. So save you a lot of disk space.
  Google is your friend to find these converters. ;)

• Wallpaper direct question?

  Hey there ' All, I seem to have a problem with my Live Wallpaper stock, back to wallpapers of stock "brick." This happens after about 5 minutes to put the live wallpaper. My Advanced Task Killer do not even list as an app, so I know this isn't the ATK killing wallpaper.

  Anyone experience this problem or you have any ideas to fix this? Thank you!

  Okay, figured it out! Feel like a dummy now! But for someone else who encounters this problem in the future, make sure that 'Live Wallpapers' are not on the list 'End' on the 'Task Manager'.

  I have Vista Ultimate and want to upgrade. It looks to me that Vista Ultimate should be upgraded to Win7Pro if your not using or nededing Bitlocker or a multi-language support. I can only find the compairison simplified feature and it makes me worried that I might make a mistake. Ultimate in Vista has features like support for live wallpapers. Will it be a feature included in Windows 7 Pro version, or what I need to keep on the path of the ultimate.

• Development of applications for musicians - noob

  I think to try my hand at writing applications for musicians to the BB10 / Playbook platform.  I have some experience programming in the (distant) past, mostly in C++ and a bit of Java.  I've never coded for a mobile platform really (except a little bit when I worked at RIM, more than 10 years ago).  Some of the questions asked by a Noob:

  (1) for this type of application (apps for musicians that can play music notes), which is the best environment - Native C/C++ or Java?  The two are all too appropriate or all? Which is easier?

  (2) is the Blackberry Playbook OS 10 have something like a wave table integrated with an API that developers can use to play musical notes with a variety of instrument sounds, or my apps will include audio samples for all these?

  (3) is it a total noob-guide for beginners start writing applications type "hello-world" simple for BB10/playbook, and that perhaps relieve the reader in the different APIs?

  The answer to your questions, it's that you're in the wrong place.  BlackBerry Java is not supported on BB10/Playbook, unless of course you are porting an Android Application.  If you really have no choice, you have to write on a platform supported by BB10/Playbook.  You have choice of

  WebWorks - i.e. the HTML and Javascript

  Adobe Air

  Native C++ code.

  Windows 7 does not support live wallpapers. Animated GIFs are not natively supported except when seen in Internet Explorer. You will need to look for 3rd party software to do this.

  I just updated this morning, and my version of firmware reads 2.1 update1. While my pinch to zoom, to speak at the text and photo library all look and run great, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to change home 5 screens, live wallpapers or add new widgets weather and news.
