Suggestions for e-mail client

Hi all:

5.1.1 Android is a significant step backwards IMHO. I love the Z3C, but the email client (and that includes useless Gmail) frustrates me no end. Is no longer, I can create and send messages to groups - a serious drawback in business communications. He adds that the inability to make contact - whether to type a name to adding it to a field to send - fact communications through incredibly difficult mobile mail. All of these features existed in the Android mail clients earlier.

My question: what 3rd party email client do you use? Allow group mailing? It supports POP3, IMAP and Exchange?

Thank you very much...

I use Mail of Type https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trtf.blue

I love her, for the work & personal email use.

The automatic import program only works if you have TB and the former program installed on the same computer. If possible, I suggest to install TB on the old computer which currently has Outlook, run the auto import option and then transfer the profile of TB from the old computer to to on the new machine.

The method that I found which is the simplest and most reliable is to copy the folder Thunderbird of the old machine to the new one:

Within the Mail app and display the Inbox you can pull down on the list of e-mail using your finger and you should see a small reel spinning gear. Which indicates that his check new email.

You can also go into the settings of e-mail and calendars Contacts and view the settings there. Examine the settings of "search for new data. If the Push is enabled, then messages will be pushed to you if the email provider supports this feature. You can also set your accounts to use Fetch and set the frequency, he's going to go out and look for new e-mail messages.

  • What is e-mail clients better / by default for Windows XP? Where can I download the latest version?

I am currently in Outlook 2003 for Windows XP and I am having some problems and want to upgrade to a newer version of an e-mail client.  I do not use Outlook features, I just need something basic and reliable.  What is the latest e-mail program and best to use with Windows XP and where can I download it?  Thank you.

You already have Outlook Express on your machine. It is built into XP. It is very basic and reliable as long as keep you it clean & clean.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:

    Compact frequently.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. • Windows Mail blocks - suggestions for a fix?

    Hello
Here's the situation. I have Windows Mail running on a desktop with Windows 7 as my operating system.  When my old computer crashed, I asked the technician to put Windows Mail instead of Windows Live mail on my new computer.

Everything was fine until 2 days ago. Now, Windows Mail blocks whenever I'm doing one of the following things:

-a click or even overview and email from different people sending a particular server
-try to work in offline mode

Everything works well with Windows Mail on my desk.  I don't think that the problem is the server that sends emails, because these emails do not cause a crash when I open with Windows Live Mail on my laptop.

The server emails sent by is on my 'allowed senders' list in Windows Mail.

Any ideas on what is the problem or how to fix it?

The reason why I did not Live Mail on my new desktop computer is because I have more than 10 years of records organized of all the emails I received.  I was afraid to lose this info during the upgrade or passing.  I also find very confusing to use Windows Live Mail on my laptop.

Another question... I could download Windows Live Mail on my desk and run in addition to Windows Mail, without losing everything that I have stored in Windows Mail?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
    Sue

Not sure if it's too late, but I had the same problem and found a workaround.

Specific messages were originally the crash - not everyone, only some. After some trial and error, I discovered the problem - by displaying the message in HTML format can cause a malfunction. I don't know what specific problem in the message causes the crash, but I found that switching to plain text resolved the problem.

Switch to plain text turns off display HTML messages. You lose some formatting and images, but it does not crash, and that's what I found most critical. If you really want the screen, Windows Mail appears to include the HTML code as an attachment you want to open in another browser. I was able to do this successfully.

Here's how to change plain text:

    1. in Windows Mail, select the Tools menu.
    2. Select the submenu Options. You will see a dialog box.
    3. Select the playback tab.
    4. check the option "read all messages in plain text.
    5. click on OK

You should be good to go!

I always intend on the study of other e-mail clients - Windows Mail is not supported for Windows 7 and I like either Live Mail. If all goes well, that you pass the problem while you other research programs.

Call your service provider. User name and password have been identified and given by them. They have records.

An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded:
4.7.1 < ***@***.com >: recipient address rejected: rejection policy - your host has been blacklisted for e-mail abuse. Please configure your email client to use authentication SASL - contact support if in doubt how...

Please check the message recipient "*********@******.com" and try again.

This happened while I was sending about #3 4 or 5 that I must send. Nothing I know has been changed has been changed! I have downloaded the latest version while I was in the program.

This seems to be a message from a server. The word 'host' is not clear to me. In the language of networking, it can mean your own computer, but more generally, it could mean your ISP provider or by e-mail.

Anyway, this means that something has decided that you are, or are on a network that has been identified as a source of spam. I suggest that ask you this from your ISP.

  • "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed" when you use Windows Mail

Original title: loss of entrance of Protocol in the list of saved files

I use an old Toshiba laptop of two year with Vista as an operating system. It came with a trial version of Microsoft Office already installed. I had no use for it then after the trial expires I uninstalled. This seems to have created a minor problem with the e-mail program. When I visit a Web site and click on 'Contact us' I get an error message as follows "cannot perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed." I suspect strongly as during the uninstallation of office he removed a protocol in the list entry, similarly, the bottom of the list of the saved files. A check with other similar computers with Vista installed seems to confirm this. If someone at - it a quick fix to this problem? I don't want to resort to installing a whole new email software to fix this minor problem if I can avoid it.

Hello Karena R, yesterday, I downloaded and installed Windows Live Mail, and I must say that I prefer Windows Mail Live Mail program. After making sure that Live Mail is the deafult for all messaging functions and that the entry "Mail Protocol" was now back to the list of saved files, I checked the problem mentioned in my original post. He is not fixed! Another small problem is fixed now if. In my "drafts" mailbox I have some e-mails stored there and when I click on one of them upwards now comes an email with the appropriate address inserted in the address line. Who could not before. I used to get this error message, which is now the new title of my post. So why the difference when I click on email address that I find on Web sites? Now, I also find that by Michael following the instructions (below), I do not see an entry "mailto" but his suggestion to step d. type in "URL Protocol" is not appropriate because it is already there. The installation of an entirely new email software should have my computer all the necessary entries for the new program to function properly in all respects. So what's happening? It begins to look as if uninstalling the program Office has pulled something real Vista operating system.

It's a good thing, I thought of the research on other boards for my missing post.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\mailto

    c. in the Edit menu, select new, then clickstring goodwill.

    d. type of Protocol of URL as the name of the new string value

    e. exit the registry editor

  • How to set up a default mail client in Win7

I just installed Win7 for my laptop and also installed computer Claws Mail.

I wish that Windows uses claws as default e-mail client. (for example, in Internet Explorer, click on file/send to delivers an error > no default e-mail client)

Claws does NOT appear on the list of programs in the list of default programs.

Claws appears in the list of Protocol as an application MAILTO.

This should be a really basic question.  I'm still at it for hours.
