I receive regular e-mails from Micro Center. Among their offerings of office software suite is one of ValuSoft for $10. Does anyone have any experience with this product?

  • Office updates fail. Error code 80070643

Hi, I had a reo-ccurence of an old problem. Windows Update fails on the Office security updates. Error code 80070643.

Whate otherwise I can do? Thank you.

    Thank you.

The problem is now resolved. The flaw lies in the installation of FrontPage 2003. Security updates are installing.
For the benefit of third parties who may read this page, I add the following observations: -.
After the failure of an update there was little indication of the origin of the problem.
However it happened to me that reliability monitor has given more information, for example
"Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product name: Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003. Product version: 11.0.8173.0. Product language: 1033. Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation. Status of success or error of reconfiguration: 1603. »
Then, I realized that all re - install the suite Office 2003 does not automatically re - installed FrontPage.
It seems that when looking for this kind of problems, a check of the history of reliability could be useful to determine just where the problems come from.
    Thank you.
  • Why do I get Office Genuine Advantage?

Why I am being presented with Office Genuine Advantage Notifications (KB94910) in the Windows Update for Windows 7 Ultimate Edition? I wonder what I do not have the suite Office installed on my computer, I use OpenOffice.org. In fact, the only program that I installed and that bears the name of office is Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007 . It's a product that Microsoft offers now for free.

However, MS apparently wants to make sure that it is a legit version of Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007.

  • MAC: Split Office on a computer running parallels

I have a mac, but still like the suite office windows. I've divided my hard drive and want to run outlook just on the patrician windows I like ClearContect outlook plugin. It is not available on a Mac. However quite I execute the rest of the application on the side of my HD Mac - is it still possible? or would I need to buy two separate licenses/products? Thank you

    Hi N Phibbs,

The only way to use both at the same time would be to use some kind of virtual machine software. Apart from that, he will have to use the system of each operation separately.

With respect to licensing, a separate license is required for each installation.

  • User account deleted when I uninstalled Office 2010 Beta, how do I get it back?

    Details:

    • I am using Windows XP Pro SP3
    • I had already installed MS Office 2010 Beta. When I went to use it recently, I learned the period Beta was over and I was given two options: 1) buy Office 2010 or 2) uninstall. I chose to uninstall. When I restarted the computer after uninstalling, my user account has been deleted.
    • Fortunately, I had an another user account with administrative access, but it is never/rarely used, so when I opened this account is like watching a new computer desk. I see again all my files on the C drive of the other account, but they are all read only files.
    • I restarted the computer in safe mode at a given time, with networking and could see my old user account. Now I'm trying to find a way to recover permanently.
    • Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

    Hello

It could be that the user account registry key is deleted which is instructed to show the user account name in the login screen. I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below.

    Step 1:

I suggest to do a restore of the system on the computer and check if you are able to see the user account.

  • Office grid size/spacing

Fujitsu N Series computer laptop, Vista SP1, Office 2007 Suite

Auto update yesterday downloaded IE8, Suite Office 2007 SP2 and .NET Framework 3.5 SP1/.NET Framework 3.5 Family update. Everything worked fine until I installed the automatic update download.

It updates, I have no way to know the man who, since they all updated and installed at the same time, changed the size of my desktop icons and icon text when restarting. I changed the DPI for a size I love for desktop icons and icon text and can see and read their good now, but the spacing of the grid is too big. In addition, he mixed up the locations of my icons, but I moved them to where I like them. Automatic reorganization is NOT defined. I can change the spacing of the grid by changing the dpi, but then the icons and the text of the icon are too small. Previous versions of Windows, I had had provisions to adjust the spacing of grid icon, separate adjustment icon and text size of the icons, but I can't find a way to be everywhere in Vista except by changing the dpi, which doesn't let me put my office up to the way I like it , like previous versions of Windows.

In addition, the size of the text in the messages of the forum is now tiny and difficult to read. Change dpi has no effect on the font size in the forum posts, and I can't find anywhere to change the font size in the forum to a readable messages.

Can someone tell me how adjust the spacing of the grid on my desktop and increase the size fonts in the forum messages without messing things any more than they already are?

I HATE how MS updates seem to screw my machine every time I download and install.

    Thanks for any help.

    StarPD

    Hi StarPD,

Thank you to direct your question to the answers.microsoft.com forum group.

This problem occurred after an update, we could suggest that you do a restore to a time before the updates, however, of what is described I would be sure that the video card driver has installed the most recent revision.

It seems that the pilot may have changed to a lower resolution during the update.  This isn't something known to be experienced before, but, this sounds like a symptom, a video driver will expose.

You can check the resolution of your video driver with a space empty right click on the desktop and select Customize / select display settings - what is color value parameters?  What is placing it above available?  Check the resolution is defined - as you already suggested - is also correct.    Then click the Advanced Settings button and write what the card is listed as.  Click the driver tab and find the date of the driver.  You should navigate to the manufacturer's website and if there is a new driver available for your review of Vista, download and install this driver.

    (Note: )

Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk).

    If this does not resolve the issue you are having, in order to answer the questions you posted;

    1. If you HOLD THE CTRL key down and at the same time, USE the SCROLL WHEEL of your mouse, you are able to adjust the ICONS on your desktop for a size you choose.

    2. to set the forum text, if you are running Internet Explorer, you can hold down the CTRL key and scroll upward or down with your mouse wheel to get a window of TEXT size / which is best suited for you.

Please let us know if this helps you resolve your problem, or if assistance is needed.

    Kind regards

  • How can I download the update of security for Office Svc Pack 3?

My computer guard invites me to insert the disc of MS Office XP Prof and I don't have it.  My computer came w / it already installed on it and I need to update my computer to be able to use other things.  I'm not sure what I need to do.  Can I just remove it from my computer?  And if I do, it's going to ruin all my MS Office programs?

    Thank you

You must have the disk and product key to update the suite office on the computer, the data that is stored on the computer will be not lost if you delete the office suite.
However, you can have buy the latest version of the suite Microsoft Office and install on the computer to use the office programs in the future

  • MS Office does not accept the product key and does not leave my type anything on Word documents

I have windows 2007 edition vista Home premium and I neglected to enter my product key every time I opened a word document. I discovered that after 25 hours of opening ms Office it will not let type you anything on the document. I entered the 25-digit product key, that she had asked because I found on the label on the back of my lap top and every time I entered the code, he said that it was not valid. I double checked to make sure that I typed the numbers in the right order several times and it still does not accept it! I'm in the product key? I also tried the product ID and that no longer works. Help, please! Thank you!

    • MS Word does not accept the product key
    • When you open MS Word, impossible to type anything

You enter the incorrect product key. The product key on the back of your laptop is for the Vista operating system, no office. The office, which is preinstalled on your computer has a trial version. You can buy Office in order to continue using it. Then, you will get the Office product key.
