Superposition of alpha - transparency-implementation

The bottom of the model, I can't set a transparency in the overlay of the rocker "alpha" by changing the number of percentage. No matter what I have to change the color of the mask is solid. I want to make it transparent to see parts of the background that will block the alpha. Is there another setting in addition to changing the number of percentage to a transparency Overlay Alpha?

I'm guessing your AE is not up-to-date or you have hardware acceleration enabled in the display preferences and should not be. You may also have a bad driver. AE not up to date is the most likely cause. Screenshot of MAC from today:

I found an article on the contribution of the boxes with rounded CSS corners. With the help of an alpha-transparent PNG, the author illustrates the ease and leaness of this approach. However, when I try to change the color of this PNG size goes from 5 k to 38 k!

    My method:
Open in Fireworks, choose the blue with the magic wand and replace it with another color, and then do the same for white. Then save (oh, they are both 24 bits).

Oh yes, of course, my original guess was right.

Your file contains mkBF, California, mkBT are exclusive pieces pieces
added by FW as it is for internal purposes. They take most of the size of the file.
You forgot the golden rule of FW: documents obtained by 'Save' are to
future edition only; documents obtained by 'Export' should be placed on
the Web. Then use 'Export' next time.

  • Change the Alpha (transparency) of the text

I'm trying to fade in a text from 0% to 100% transparency.

When I convert the text to a graphic symbol, the alpha

color menu doesn't change anything. This is not

impact on the transparency of the symbol.

When I try to separate the text and use the shape tween

from 0% to 100% alpha, it works, but the police gets broken

on the rise during the process.

    What Miss me?

    Thank you!

    Hey all,.

I realized where I was wrong.

I tried to change the 'A' under color.

I had to click in the center of the symbol itself to change the "effects of color."

  • Not showing the alpha transparency is not Up in SWF

I have recently experienced some weird problem in Flash, there are a few MCs I with linear gradients with transparency. For some reason, sometimes in the SWF, they appear without transparency and be opaque at 100%. I don't know why this is happening or what to do about it. Any ideas? Thank you.

If you have more than one alpha gradient coming to overlap another or that you are using an alpha mask, use cacheAsBitmap to these clips.

  • bug in fireworks CS4 at 24/32-bit with alpha transparent png export?

    Hello

I recently upgraded to CS4 from CS3 and am very disappointed that the ease of export png to 24 or 32 bit png is then useless on my installation of fireworks (Vista). I have a colleague who reported the same behanviour on his mac.

Please see this file png native fireworks CS4 and the attempt to export it as 24 or 34 bit png, ensuring the canvas is transparent (it shuold be already)...

    http://www.capitalh.NET/demo-bug.PNG

The visualization mode in CS3 would show the png with its alpha channel, indicated by the transparency checkerboard. Exporting as well would produce the desired result > a PNG with an alpha nice mix channel.

Viewing in preview in CS4 mode displays an horrible rendering of the image on a white background. Export the image gives the same result. Please see this link for confirmation:

    http://www.capitalh.NET/demo-bug-export.PNG

Please also see this simple image, this time using a simple ellipse shape:

    http://www.capitalh.NET/demo-bug-export-SimpleShape.PNG

You will notice that it is not transparent, and the ellipse has not been smoothed.

Anyone can shed light on this behavior?

Export of png as such is something I do every day at work, and is a fundamental requirement of an image editting application targeted to web site design.

I'm doing something wrong? I been using Fireworks since 2003 so I'm inclined to think that I'm not.

Transparency is only available when the file is exported as a PNG 8 or

PNG 32. The sample you have to downloaded has been optimized for the PNG-24 format. When

I changed optimization PNG 32, the file exported as planned.

The shape simple PNG file seems to be a solid image, not a vector

ellipse. In this case, the layout optimization of PNG 8

with index transparency has solved the problem.

  • Circumvention of the alpha transparency

Given that people continue to insist on the use of IE 6 and I can't figure out how to use my logo with transparency alpha (despite copy the code exactly), can someone tell me the code that I use to display my logo in the form of png for IE 7 and more and my logo in jpg form for IE 6 and lower? Did you add the width and height to the image?

  • Importing Photoshop files with Alpha transparency

When I create an image in Photoshop for use in Director that includes transparency alpha, like a shadow, transparent surface makes lighter they have once imported into Director. When appears on a white background, it is not a problem; the shadow is just lighter than it should be. When applied on a dark background, however, which should be a shadow becomes a lighter glow.

I found that saving PNG images, rather than Photoshop files, solves this problem. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know a fix?

Yes, you have found it. Photoshop, mainly for print jobs, always had his
own idea of transparency - not in line with what most of the software called the
    alpha channel.

It was relatively recent (PS6?, PS7?) he began to support the alpha
channel this people RGB US recognize.

IIRC, there is some good technical notes in the Support section of the Director of the
the site that explain it a lot more detail. Ah, here's one.

  • cracked glass image with transparency (alpha) for overlay?

All knowledge of a file PNG image good glass cracked including transparency (alpha) is I could use?

The idea is that it could be placed above other images so you could still see the pictures back, but it would be like they are behind the cracked glass.

Otherwise, if not directly, there are images that match this requirement, so how would easily transform a picture of glass cracked an alpha/transparency?

    1. Desaturate the layer of glass.

    2. make two copies of the glass layer, desaturated. Disable all three eye visibility for these layers in the layers palette.

    3. turn on the first glass desaturated layer by clicking on the eye in the layers palette. First glass desaturated layer place (an image directly above) in blend mode screen. 100% opacity. If the glass has a hole, use a layer mask or erase to drill a hole in the desaturated layer. The levels command to set up the glass so to taste... use push black cursor Grays to black and use the middle gray slider in the dialog control to transition between black and white. You can also set the white slider if you wish. Note: If you have added a layer mask, click the desaturated picture glass to ensure that you use the command levels on the image, not the mask.  (Tip: shortcut on PC for levels is Ctrl + L on Mac Cmd + l.)

Note: If you need a hole in the picture, it is easier in Normal blending mode. 100% opacity. Use the Quick Selection tool if you have a version of items that includes this tool. If you have an older version of elements before the introduction of this tool, the wand should also do the trick.

Note: If you punched a hole in the glass, save this selection, so you can reuse it. Select

Just go to step #4 If you punched a hole in your glass.

    4. go in the first copy of desaturated glass (one directly on the one you made to step #3... you should have one above it) and turn on his eyes the visibility in the layers palette.  As previously, the value this screen blend mode layer: 100% opacity. Hide or delete so this layer effect will be limited at the edge of the hole and some of the glass around the edge. Use the levels command to adjust the contrast around the hole. You should concentrate on the white slider and the edges medium gray to make the hole look correct.

Note: To make it easy on myself, I have used Select

    5. Optional: go to the latest copy of desaturated glass (this must be on top of your pile of palette layers.) and turn on the eye of this layer. Change the blending mode of this layer to soft light blending mode and adjust the opacity to your liking.

Above shows my layers using Photoshop. In the elements, layers will be the same, although your UI will be different. If you have PSE 9, you can use layer masks as I... see PSE9 layer mask video link I linked below.

    http://www.Photoshopelementsuser.com/featured/elements-9-easy-layer-masks/

If you don't have a PES 9, you can either use the eraser to delete what you don't need or use a clipping mask or clipping group. (Same thing another name.) PSE 8 and 9 PES call it a clipping mask while all older versions of elements called it a clipping group.

See the tutorial below if you need a tutorial on clipping mask/clipping group.

    http://www.photokaboom.com/photography/learn/Photoshop_Elements/layers/layer_groups_clippi ng_masks/1_layer_groups_clipping_masks.htm

    Another method:

You can also use Photoshop brushes and little white paint. Search for brushes that are high resolution, pixel large size... like the smaller brush sizes will be blurred if you have their measure. These brushes can usually be found using broken, break, broken, broken or cracked in the search term. These two are beautiful high resolution sets:

    http://archaii.deviantart.com/art/shatter-glass-brushes-82308115

    and

    http://archaii.deviantart.com/art/shatter-v2-new-101049266

Several other series are out there on the net at this site and others. This set has attracted my attention like beautiful brushes appearance and are big brushes. (Brushes of mind may not be more than 2500 px in height or width if you do brush of your own images. Brushes, which are small get blurred when the brush tip size increases then trying to make them bigger. This is why I suggest that you are looking for brushes large high resolution at first.

  • Transparency - 8 bit w / alpha 32-bit vs

Hi, we are creating a heavy site of pretty graphs now. This is a very rough, organic design and uses transparency a little (boxes of solid color for most leaving the background texture show through a bit).

So, we know that we will do an serious optimization to ensure that this site is not a complete slug. We anticipate using sprites as much as possible. But we must find a way to approach any transparency.

-Can someone check the file size savings, that you would get by experience if the relatively simple graphic record (mainly solid tones, blocks of color, type, etc) with transparency 8-bit w / vs full 32-bit alpha transparency?

We are not really concerned with the aspect of compatibility, IE6 just the part of the file size savings.

The main reason for the question is that the design is made in Illustrator CS4, and we would simply export the slices there. Illustrator supports full 32-bit PNGs (called PNG - 24 of course). But we have a copy of Fireworks CS4 that we do not have too. I want to just make sure that it will be worth every effort to bring properly all the elements starting from Illustrator and making sure that nothing is messed up in the migration.

    Thank you!

Exporting 8 bit PNG with transparent Alpha, the files would make a huge difference in the size of the file, in almost all cases. You will need to experiment with it a bit to see if the difference in the quality of the images will work for you.

  • How to create a current transparency alpha channel?

I have an image I created in Photoshop CS3 with a drop shadow on it and transparency around him.  I need to save it in a file TARGA 32 bit with an embedded alpha, so that transparency and drop shadow work when I bring it in my video editing software, but when I save on as a 32-bit .tga he does not save an alpha with her.

I think remember me Photoshop automatically an alpha of your transparency created when registering on a 32-bit .tga. What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you.

I think the alpha channel saved in Targa files in earlier versions of Photoshop have been removed in later versions, because the spec targa itself says nothing about the embedded alpha. Instead, the programs were required to read an info of transparency targa files directly. It was then changed to the way that it used to be - you will need to integrate an alpha transparency.

However, here's how to save a channel alpha with your transparency information:

First of all, to create layers of your layer effects (shadows etc - right click effect, will create layers)

Then, ctrl-shift-click on each layer in your file.

Then make a 'New Alpha Channel selection' in the palette layers.

  • An Alpha channel in 5 motion editing

I used chromatic key successfully in many video projects Motion 5, but now I am interested in editing and in some cases, remove a layer alpha to any clip. I have read the user manual and learned about the export of the video using Apple ProRes 4444 and ensuring the drop down choices include color or color and alpha, but I think my question just before exporting.

I bought video clips for use in my projects with alpha channels deleted and I would like to explore using this kind of function change myself.

I'm just exercise wishful thinking here or is to detach the data of possible alpha channels in the query editor 5 no matter where I export the video?

Thanks for any help to a novice Editor to the-middle-level-qualified.

    Bob T. Editor-in-Chief in manufacturing...

Well,... no way alpha... ? something, some content, for example a solid color

and it is set in the project properties, see:

the two parameters of canvas even look: black.

but when exporting with the setting on the right, instead of an alpha = transparency, the selected color fills the background.

    -What are you looking for?

  • save images with transparent background

I cut an image in pscs6 and recorded on a transparent background and saved on my Finder in format giff. The image went to the ps, but opening my Finder it was slightly desaturated. I do not have the need to save transparent images that often so I'm not familiar with the technique. My client is looking for a 3 to 6 MB image for use in print. Cheers, bj

For printing, do not use the gif files. They are an obsolete format that supports a limited number of colors (255) + 1 color used for transparency.

PNG uses 256 colors red + 256 blue + green + 256 256 shades of gray for transparency.

As you can see png has many more colors and shades of transparency, which means a much smoother and softer image shadow brought to get an example of transparency.

Better yet is to save it as a tiff or psd, allowing a larger number of colors if necessary and support layers, layers alpha, transparency, the living text, paths, etc.

If it is set on a printer, then pdf may be the best solution.

In other words, you have many choices and the reasons not to use gif.

    Yes, a few options:

    1. use the opacity in CSS

/ * Use your black background divs class name * /.

    Zoom: 1;

    filter: alpha (opacity = 80); / * for IE. Modify if needed * /.

opacity: 0.8; / * for other browsers. Game above. Modify if needed * /.

    background - color:RGBA (0,0,0,0.8); / * 0.8 is the alpha transparency setting *.

  • How to create or export a logo in Illustrator CS5 with an alpha channel for use in Final Cut Pro 6?

To all those who can help you:

I created a logo using Illustrator CS5 and must import it in a video sequence in Final Cut Pro 6.  The logo has a transparent background.  It seems that FCP 6 will import the files native .ai and .tiff files, but when I opened the 6 FCP, the alpha (transparent background) is no longer there; There is just the logo on a white background.  Y at - it a setting or a market I'm missing?

    Shaun MacLellan

I need to insert images of HAVE in Final Cut Pro and Motion quite frequently.

The best way I found to get a picture of IN Final Cut is:

    1. Select / copy all objects in the doc to HAVE it.

    2. create a new file with a transparent background in Photoshop and paste.

3 merge layers and make sure that the mode is RGB.

4 save out as one. PNG or. PSD.

    5. drag the result in Final Cut (or movement).

6 resize and position the result to taste.

Attempt to export directly from... to PSD or. PNG is a wasted effort and the results are not even necessarily recognized by Final Cut.

Yes, there are Photoshop and it's a few extra steps... but it works like a charm.

In addition, when you create a new file in Photoshop, you can initially set its size that matches the aspect ratio of your video. For example, if you prepare a video HD, you could set the size of 1280 x 720 and position the elements GOT to where they are supposed to be in the frame. You can set the items HAVE precisely by cutting and pasting a picture of your video into Photoshop and positioning HAVE in place on another layer above the video layer. Delete the video layer before you save it as a. PNG or. PSD and it will appear in Final Cut exactly where it should be.
