I have a PC Pavilion Elite HPE 450 t, and a few months ago he ceased to accept automatic updates from Microsoft downloads.
I tried to use the tools that Microsoft has nothing helped.
Some time after, my Norton Security software security suite failed and wouldn't charge. Norton failed to find a solution. I guess it must do something with the heavy backlog of unloaded updates.
? Is it possible to load windows 10 on win 7?
I got my PC tested for viruses, root kits and it is clean, but updates are still not loading.
Honestly, I'd appreciate any help that you folk can provide. Thanks in advance
Leon R.
Hi there @LROSZKOW,
I hope you find your experience of positive Support Forum! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you have had problems with the updates of Windows and want to know if you can upgrade to Windows 10. I'm happy to help you with this.
Reading the questions you have described in your current system that you cannot upgrade to Windows 10, using the normal method of free upgrade. Your system should have the option available from a previous update of Windows, as the free update is delivered via Windows update. If you have a Windows 7 or 8.1 product key, then you could do a clean install of Windows 10 and use this key to activate your Windows 10 free documents. Of course, you want to first make a backup of your data.
Another option would be to try to load the original image from the desktop computer, and then try to update again by using Windows Update. This assumes you have a working recovery partition or recovery media. Computers HP - performing a recovery of system HP (Windows 7) But to protect your data, you want to make a first backup as I mentioned.
Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

Hello
Are you referring to Internet Explorer from freezing?
This problem can be caused due to system files corrupted, due to which the updates are not installing on the computer.
You can run the SFC (System File Checker) scan on the computer to ensure that the system files are intact. The tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker scans missing or system corrupted files and repairs them.
Refer to:

I have a new HP Envy with Windows 8 desktop computer that still does not run properly. I have rebooted, restored (im doing this), ran chkdsk, sfc/scannow, malware, virus, uninstall/install etc and my machine wil always do not run for a long time without going through some sort of problem after an hour or two. Can anyone suggest what to do about this? I read a lot of information online on all the windows 8 and fixes bugs, etc, but anything Microsoft/Windows, which ensures its customers, a hotfix or compesating their customers with software that still works. This isn't a hardware problem, and I can't keep day and bad shooting and trying to fix the day things in?

The fix to install / uninstall, or get on the site of windows directly in general does not, and or does not at all.The change permissions 2.) does not work on files that you should be able to access in changing oxnership, permissions, etc.3.) Google chrome won't let me access my account of microsoft (or fact rarely) trying to access assistance. But internet Explorer doesn't?Randomly will increase from Internet 4.) a previous connection wired to wireless to a reboot.5.) my 8 'key' windows was only shown to me after that I have let Windows scan my machine online? Why? I paid for this... I restarted it and it says: service not available (it worked the third attempt which was 1-3 minutes after the initial analysis). Windows only showed my product ID not the key. I know that my victory. 8 was OEM when preinstalled I bought it new, but why didn't we files on it that had nothing to do with activation, appearing on dates for three weeks, or so before I bought it. What is the 'activation of the factory'?6 :) Windows Essentials does not hang for a long time, and the troubleshooterprogram of update simply does not work (I had to go to the website to try tp operate, the bluetooth functionality is not good that there is an error.7.) windows scan and repair gets stuck at 27% (Im not the only one with this problem).8.), avery MS Office 2013 Disappears so often and not easy to reload "we have encountered a problem.The computer manufacturer is responsible to see that it works properly with Windows 8. I can browse normally (Explorer, Chrome), but the computer is not download the updates of Windows or other updates, updates to the antivirus for example program.
I've also updated the LAN and WLAN drivers of Toshiba and the site of the manufacturer (Atheros and Realtek).
Also, I've manually updated Windows SP3 as BIOS (extract from the Toshiba site).When I look at the State of both WLAN and LAN connection, the only 'package' that moves is when I browse the internet with the browser.

Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.
Restore point:
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/
Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
I have Windows 7, my computer does not start. I did the Startup Repair and he won't fix it. I did the system configuration information. and that did not help. What to do now? The comment of Bios makes me fear that it could damage my computer forever. What should do? Help, please
Hi Alan,
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
I understand that the computer does not restart even after running Startup Repair and I will be happy to answer your query. I appreciate the efforts made to try to make it work. Let me ask you;
- How do you run the Startup Repair?
- Do you have Windows 7 repair disc?
- Remember to no particular change in the computer before the show?
- Have you plugged an external equipment, except the keyboard and mouse?
- You are able to start the computer in safe mode?
- What is the brand and model of the computer?
Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
There could be several reasons why he's not leaving including hardware as well. In addition, it could be because the master boot record (MBR) has been damaged. When you try to use the Startup Repair tool to repair the MBR, the Startup Repair tool indicates that no problem was found or it does not work yet.
If you have any connected USB flash drive or other external devices connected to the computer, if you please, remove them and try to run the Startup Repair tool.
If you haven't tried using Windows 7 repair disc, you can try the following:
1. Insert the Windows 7 disc
2. restart your computer
3. When asked if you want to boot from your DVD player, do it.
4. Select your language, click Next.
5. click on repair your computer
6. Select the operating system you want to repair.You can also perform the system restore by selecting the restore point when you think it worked very well. System Restore, choose advanced options using the disc.
Important: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed after this date are deleted.
I also recommend to contact the computer manufacturer to get the done diagnostic equipment.
Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.
