Support of speed internet 1 GB

Hello

I have both time capsule and air as an Extender, the last two models verti, connection I use time capsule as Internet

router, now I want to increase my internet speed 1 GB so I was wondering time casuple support

This routing speed? And the extender supports as well?

Sincere greetings

Not even close... you'll be lucky to get the speed of 400Mbps routing.

Worst Extender wireless... If you connect to full speed AC... so 1300Mbps the file real transfer speed is less than half... to make it easy to say 500Mbps (it will be less than in reality, because units must be < 5M distance without obstacles for revenge 800Mbps link speed. It will then be cut in half because you double hop... so, it's now at 250Mbps. (it's real-world throughput, not lies, big lies and statistics called wifi).

It is impossible to get more real world gigabit speed wireless. Hop still unique.

And you need a router really high-end for 1 Gbit/s actual throughput.

But with the single hop wireless both are about equal to say 400Mbps... Maybe a little more on a good day when the Sun is shining and the wind is in the East. And Waxing Crescent Moon.

I intend to upgrate my internet connection speed of 60Mbps to 100 Mbps, but my provider says JWNR2010v5 (N300 wireless router) will not support 100 Mbps internet connection speed in LAN. Is this true? that which is the maximum speed of JWNR2010v5 for the LAN support. I don't mind the wireless speed, I use the maximum LAN. Thank you in advance.

Your provider is correct. Either move your router to a router which supports! 000Mbps (MGI) LAN and WAN ports or stay at your current speed Interent.

  • Low-speed Internet with wired connection to E4200

I have a HP Pavilion p6347c AMD Athlon II X 4 630 2.80 GHz, 64 Bit, Windows 7 SP1 WITH 16 GB of Ram, using Comcast high speed Internet.

It works very well and I had no problem with my Pavilion until I replaced my old router G with a LinkSys E4200 (state-of-the-art, the top page of the router line N).  All the features work well, except that when I use Firefox 7.0 or Internet Explorer 9.0, the connection time is very very very slow when my computer is connected to my router with an Ethernet cable.  The problem disappears when I log - in using the same Ethernet cable - directly into the modem high speed; Then, the loading speeds are fast as lightning.  When I return to the router via a wired connection, even - page very very very slow post.

I've already spent about 8 sessions with LinkSys on the phone and chat, and it turns out that the router is not the problem (according to LinkSys).  They advised that I need to contact the manufacturer of the computer, or people who can respond to Windows 7 support issues.  Someone at - it ideas?  Maybe something I can change in the settings of the firewall, network, computer security options settings?

I connected my HP laptop running WINDOWS VISTA on the same Ethernet cable and disabled the wireless.  The speed of the wired connection is quick as a Flash - no problem at all.

Then why my desktop Windows 7 SP1 computer not offer me the same speed?  Whenever I need to do important online work, I have to unplug my Ethernet cable from the router and plug directly on the modem to get faster speeds.  I then reconnect to the router once completed, so that users without wire and devices on my network work.  It's very frustrating.

Help!  I am at a loss to understand why this computer has not faster to the Internet when wired to the router.  Is - this Windows 7?  There are some options that I need to change?  Someone at - he heard talk about this and you offer solutions?  Appreciate any assistance.  Thank you.  / Jacques novel /- [email protected]

P.S. Customer LinkSys was no contribution to this issue.  I hope that some tech "warned" this reading will say AH-HAH and offer a viable solution.

On a hunch, I selected the reset 'Factory Defaults' option in the Administration, after having updated the firmware. Something must have been damaged during the first attempt to install the router.

To reset the default settings, you must have the original Setup disk and re-install using the same router name and the password.

When this was done, the Ethernet connection worked perfectly.  Hope it will be useful to all having the same problem.

  • My sister does not pay for high-speed internet, but she...?

Hi, any help will be appreciated. My sister currently has high speed internet on his computer at home, but she's not be charged anywhere where we can see.

She currently has comcast cable to his phone and cable TV. No where on the Bill is it supported for the high speed internet. Comcast deny it becomes internet delicately them. I origionally belive she got the service by ATT for phone and high speed internet. She changed phone service to comcast and I guess the external modem is home for internet high speed and his home phone. She is not charged for high speed.

The problem is that his computer is his last stages of life, its between 10 and 11 years old and runs windows XP. I tried to plug in another post, but because I do not know where our 'free' high speed internet I have no meens to download the software for a new computer and I have of course no password.

1 could. someone tell me through the settings or somewhere else on the computer where I could find information on high speed internet? Is that what I can do to connect a new computer to the Internet without a password?

    2. could I buy a wireless router broadband and connect it directly to the cable outlet in the wall can connect to its current modem (from comcast for internet and phone) or would need a password for the internet account that I don't have?

Any help is appreciated! Any suggestions? Greg

Click Start-> Control Panel-> network.  That displays all your network connections.

  • Internal Bay wiring HP z800 does support higher speeds?

    Hello

I'm interested if internal Bay wiring HP z800 supports higher speeds - 12 Gbit/s and 6 Gbps?

Or should I use berries 5.25 "to mount and connect directly to the controller SAS 12Gbps with data speed has approved longer cables?

    Thanks for the reply

HDD Bay Z800 wiring was not validated to 6 Gbit/s or 12 Gbps speeds for SATA or SAS drives.  The higher speed drives were 3 Gbps when the Z800 was released.

It is better to use the berries, 5.25 "and connect the readers directly to the SAS 12 Gbps controller with high speed cables.  6 Gbps PEUT work with internal wiring, but 12 Gbit/s is too high.  Higher approved data cables speed superior to 6 Gbit/s and 12 Gbps avoids any problem.

I pay to 30 Mbps high speed Internet, but I can't reach anywhere near that. I am an intermediate user of computers, so I know the basics to determine problems on my laptop. My laptop has Windows 7 and is a Dell 1545 Inspiron. Hello faerygyrl34,

At home, I have a connection to 25meg down and I see usually 2 to 2.5 MB download speed when downloading files via either wired or wireless.
It was my normal rule you divide by 10 connection speed and is normally your download speed in performance in the real world.
This has to do with the difference between MB and megabits. A megabit is about one-tenth of the information of a megabyte.
Internet provider is advertising 30 megabits, but you're going to download only to 3 megabytes.
Who is? It can be quite confusing.
  • Super High speed internet Time Warner installed (50mbps) but foxfire operating only at 1.35Mbps, while the internet Explorer works fine

Internet (50mbps) Time Warner installed high-speed yesterday on my computer, but when the guy left I noticed that the speed was very slow. SIS one test on speedtest.net and found I was getting a maximum of 1.35mbps (sometimes as low as .62mbps). So I had them come back and they tried all kinds of things, only to discover Internet Explorer gets 50mbps, so it's something with Foxfire. What would it be?

Hello, when you use speedtest.net or a similar site based on flash to measure your connection speed, it could be a problem with the protected mode that adobe has implemented for its flash plugin for firefox. Some older versions of f-secure or report of trusteer are known to cause slowdowns with flash, or it could be something similar on your system that interferes (maybe security software that block/sandbox the container used for protected mode, etc...).

as a solution, you could try downgrading of 10.3 flash (which is always supported) or Disable protected mode & see if that makes a difference.

  • T400 problem with slow speed internet wireless. Help, please

    Hello

Just got my new T400 (276581U) and I am very happy with it. However, he has a problem. I searched extensively in this area and other forums, but have not found the solution. So any input or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Problem:
upload and download speed is very slow when connected to wireless broadband. Measures download speed 1 Mbit/s on www.speedtest.net, while two other computers (XP and Vista) reach speeds 6 Mbit/s on the same network wireless download.

I tested the computer via LAN and here it downloads at normal speed of 6 Mbps.

    OS: Windows 7
    Network cards:
Intel 82567LF Gigabit network connection (driver version: 10.1.6.0)
Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN (driver version: 13.0.0.107)

I have download all the latest drivers on the Lenovo support site. The pilot Gigabit Network Connection, I downloaded however Intel, as there is no driver windows 7 on Lenovo website. The Intel driver has improved my connection to the local network (before that I could not download the full site content) and it has not changed my connection Wireless for the better or worse.

    Wireless configuration:
Wireless g connected to the modem access point high speed
So, to access internet, I need to connect twice, first the access point, and then click the modem to broadband. This configuration works on two other computers in the House. The lenovo is however not seem to recognize that I am online, even when I am. The symbol "not connected" is always displayed in the toolbar, and diagnostic tests tell me that I'm not online. That might relate to the problem.

Thanks for reading this. I hope that some kind soul can help.

  • Low download speeds Internet Sophos UTM VM - but only the other virtual machines; Physical PC without issue

So I have something very strange going on. I have a Dell custom host ISO on a Dell R310 ESX 5.5. My problem is that the Internet download is bad, but ONLY to other virtual machines. The Upload is normal physical computers.

I currently have 4 virtual machines running:

FreePBX, Win 2012 R2 Server, Sophos UTM (ISO VMware with the latest updates) and Win8.1 Ent.

I have the following physical machines, I also used for testing:

    8.1 Win Office - wired

    Win portable 8.1 - wireless

The lower test details, you can see on the image below.

Iperf tests with 64 k window:
Win Server 2012 to VM VM win 8 - 6.8Gbps <-VM VM good xfer
    Wireless
Win 8.1 laptop to Win 2012 VM Server - 172Mbps <-VM to the well physical wireless
Desktop 8.1 Win Win Server 2012 VM-619Mbps <-well wired VM

    Xfinity speed tests:
Wireless laptop: 90Mbps down, 9Mbps place <-physical good Upload PC speed
Wired Desktop laptop: 90Mbps down, 9Mbps place <-physical good Upload PC speed
Win Server VM: 86Mbps down, place 0.6Mbps <-SLOW on VM!
Win 8 VM: 90Mbps downwards, upwards 0.6Mbps <-SLOW on VM!

As you can see in my tests, the only place the problem presented is VM to the internet. Physics to the internet works fine. My only thought is that there is something with the switch to the host or the MAC address.

I don't think it's the Sophos Nic because it works very well from the physical to Sophos to Internet. I also have a ticket with Sophos Support; they look on the side of Sophos.

    Thoughts?

    Upload issue.png

I sent Wireshark packet capture of the Sophos support and they had this to say:

This is to inform you of the issue, you face the slow, ask you please see attached screenshot of the capture of packets. We have found the package wth ECN (explicit congestion Notification) and CWR (Congestion window reduced on the VM machine, please get this checked with support of virtual machine or VM adapter. This happens when he fell over packages and the congestion window is reduced, that the issue is not with the UTM.

In addition, indicator of Congestion window reduced (CWR) is defined by the host sender to indicate that it has received a segment TCP with the ECE flag set and that she had responded to the congestion control mechanism that indicates there is a congestion in the patch.

So I did some research and the solution is to disable all options of unloading in the advanced settings of the NIC as shown in these two links:

Cyber Explorer: Improved VM broadband network VM on an ESXi platform

Disable offloading TCP in Windows Server 2012 | Knowledge Center | Rackspace Hosting

This solved my problems. I now cross 9Mbps downloads on my VMs. hope this helps someone else!

  • Download spead is slower than the high speed internet download speed

Wireless laptop: this computer's Internet speed is about 18 MB, 3 MB of loading. runs great

Computer PC: I had problems with downing video short loading like a YouTube. I tested the range cable to the modem and the router. For this computer, I have less than 1 MB then download 2.3 MB download. Defrag, cookies, drive, all is as it should be, ram 4 and Charter Security Suite up to date.

Is it possible Mozilla is part of the problem with the slow download PC and higher load up?

If you use a Flash based speed test, you will need to optimize first Flash until you get useful results during the test. Check out this thread: Firefox too slow to react.

About video downloads, make sure that you are completely up to date with your software from RealNetworks.
