Support of update for the HP Vista SP2 extended until 2014?

I believe that support Vista SP2 stop very quickly, however, I also read that some extended support for XP has been applied until 2014. Y at - it something like that extended support for Vista (Home Premium SP2)?

If so, what kind of support that involves, will I continue to receive updates of security until a some time in 2014?

Vista Home Premium has extended support until 2017.

  • Lead time for the T400 Vista SP2 x 64 and hangs on reboot

    Hello

I searched the forums, but couldn't find the same problem. It looks more like a problem with the OS.

The problem is with T400 (description of model in the background) running Vista Ultimate x 64 SP2. I get huge delay before booting from the HARD disk (3-10 minutes). This happens just after the post, when it comes to a black silicone screen with the flashing line in the upper left corner, before the loading Vista appears. HARD drive may be the only boot device in the boot order, it is not serious.

Another problem that happens on every reboot. Windows stops, goes to black screen and hangs there. I can't POST in this case. I can only-hard restart, after that, I get same start-up time huge, before the options of windows to Safe Mode shows, etc. due to improper closing (or automatically the normal startup).

I ran all the tests of PC Doctor, the material is ok. I have updated to the latest version of the BIOS, HARD drive and firmware ODD and all the new drivers. All the patches to vista on lenovo download page appear to be part of SP2 now, because all say, they cannot be applied to the system.

I don't want to run XP or Vista x 86, since I hold the RAM to be used at full capacity.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I had the same problem mentioned in the other thread you posted. I had to send mine and get the motherboard replaced.

1 remove the hard drive from the laptop

    2. start until this stops at a few guests

    3. press on Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart the portable computer

If it stalls / freezes on one screen empty and does not restart then it isn't a Windows Vista problem, because the hard drive is not there, but a hardware problem which you would have to return it and get fixed.

If it restarts right away then try to format and reinstall Vista.

  • Is the free update for Windows7 from Vista still available?

My computer has been down for 2 years. I finally had the time to work again. I remember it being a free update for users of Vista to Windows7. And I heard that they were doing so again because they'll update XP. Where can I get this download?

Sorry - no, the free upgrade offer is over.

You can purchase Windows 7 here (or at a local store):

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/cat/CategoryID.44066700

I heard that if you buy Vista you get a copy of Windows 7 free
The Windows 7 upgrade Option is available through participating PC manufacturers on some PC and Microsoft on any purchase of packaged product Windows Vista. The Windows 7 upgrade Option applies to Windows Vista Home Premium, Business and Ultimate editions. Your upgrade to Windows 7 will be the comparable version: so you will get either Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional (upgrade to Windows Vista Business) or Windows 7 Ultimate, respectively. The Windows 7 upgrade Option program works on June 26, 2009 through January 31, 2010.

  • Excite the situation of update for the AT10LE - A-> Pro

    Hello

I was wondering about the status of update for the Toshiba excited Pro.

    _Specifically: _

-It's going to be an Android 4.3 or 4.4 update? After all, it's a tablet of the premium segment, and I expect the usual level of support. Another manufacturer usually release one or two updates.

-is yet to come miracast? He promised during the liberation, but then he got the silent about it.

-the problem of thermal regulation has finally been resolved? Again, this is not rocket science, other manufacturers seem to be able to produce pills that work without overheating.

-It will never be a way to root it or unlock the bootloader?

I'm sorry if this seems critical, but given the reviews I had read, I think that these issues are very relevant.

Updates for both devices excite Pro 3 G and WiFi were released last week.

  • Acer iconia a510 jelly bean update for the Australia

ACer, when are you going to release the jelly bean update for the Australia, it was published in other markets before Christmas. It is now March and does still no update!

I've now updated to Jelly Bean. Forthose who cannot get their a510 updated here is why. You must first upgrade to the last image in the ICS. The version of the image that I was on has been Acer_AV041_A510_RV10RC03_AAP_AU. * How to check the version of the Image of your A510? Path: [parameters]--> [about Tablet]--> [version of the Image] If you have the same image as above then you haave upgrade.

Go to the acer support page http://www.acer.com.au/ac/en/AU/content/drivers

    Select your Tablet model

Then select the OS tab towards the bottom of the page.

Download the Acer.AV041.A510.RV28RC08.AAP.AU. This will download a zip file. In the zip file will be 2 files one will be instructions on how to upgrade.

Once you have upgraded to the last frame of the ICS and the Tablet has restarted after a little while you will receive a message in the lower left area of notification that a uprade system is available. This upgrade is Jelly Bean.

Hope this helps someone who was also oost I was aboutnot get the upgrade.
