SurfaceRT transfer to iPod music

I recently went to see a local band to play. I bought their CD at the show and now have a copy of it on my SurfaceRT. How do I get it on my iPod so I can listen on the go?

Hi Vincent,.

iTunes is not currently supported on the Surface RT. Apple iTunes is a x 86 application that can be run on Intel/AMD processors. The Surface RT uses a NVidia/ARM based processor.

You can check the link for more information.

  • Transfer old iPod Classic (80 GB) music

I have an iPod 80 GB Classic (Windows format) I used to use in tandem with a PC I have no more.

Now I have a new iMac and I want to transfer all the music on iPod (60 GB worth) on this new iMac. (I don't have the old PC longer, incidentally.)

When I plug the iPod on the new iMac with open iTunes, it is of course said that it's put Windows shaped and apparently not give me options to easily transfer this music.

Is it possible for me to do this?

As you move from your Windows PC to Mac, the iPod can be formatted for Windows.  A Mac can read and write the disc format 'FAT' of Windows, for Mac can use an iPod formatted for Windows.

There is no option in iTunes to transfer songs from iPod to computer. By its design, sync iTunes participates generally in one direction, computer, iPod.  The exception is the songs purchased from the iTunes Store (because iTunes can check the property).  However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'the ipod transfer', you should get some useful links, including a CNET article on the subject.

Once the files of the song on the drive to your Mac, you can add them to the Mac iTunes library.  After that your iTunes library has all the songs, set up automatic synchronization for the iPod (which will delete the current content).  If you want it to be formatted for Mac instead of Windows BEFORE synchronizing, you can do a restore of the iPod using iTunes.  This will erase the iPod (and format it for Mac), reinstall the software and set it to default settings.  THEN, set up automatic synchronization.

NOTE: The next time you go to a new computer, you must copy the folder full iTunes (the one in the music user account folder) on an external drive.   Which copy all your iTunes data, including the library of database files and media.  On the new computer, restore these data; iTunes on the new computer will look like iTunes on your old computer, with all the songs and other media, including playlists, sides of songs and play the County.  OR, you can use the automated migration of the Mac tools to transfer your data from old Mac to new Mac user (including the iTunes data) or your archive Mac Time Machine backup again.

iPods aren't supposed to be your iTunes backup.

  • After the sync of the iPod, music parts are not not on iPod

I hope I'm asking my question to the right group.  If this isn't the case, I'll be happy to submit my isse by another if done to group.

I recently asked CSA 1) if iTunes could support/recognize an iPod and iPad on the ITunes App even on the same computer.  The answer was Yes.  I have an iPad I synchronize with a MacBook 2.0 (iTunes 11) and an iPod synced to a G3 b/w PPC (iTunes9).  I want to synchronize both portable devices for the MacBook.  The following question was 2) what would be the best way to synchronize the iPod for the MacBook? ASC Rep recommended I have just connect the iPod to the MacBook and iTunes would recognize a new device and ask if I want to erase the current contents of the iPod and sync it with iTunes on the MacBook.  When I connected the iPod to the MacBook, I was not offered the erase/Sync option.  I waited for twenty minutes with no sign of progress.  So I decided to make the step restore in iTunes for the iPod.  I then sync iTunes Music, which seemed to be charge the iPod with my selections of music.  When he says that synchronization was complete.  I went to check if my music lists and the game to the iPod, no music or playlists loading did not appear on the iPod. I've done something wrong or should I change all the options?  Please HELP!

The iPod is probably not configured to synchronize automatically.  The default setting (with current iTunes) is to put the iPod to use the method to Manage manually after you perform a restore.

To set up automatic synchronization, select the iPod in iTunes (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to display the parameters of the iPod in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under settings, click music.  Settings of music from the iPod screen is provided to the right, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.

At the top, check the box to Sync music.  This enables automatic synchronization.  Below, if your library iTunes music fits on the iPod, choose the option to synchronize the entire music library.  Otherwise, choose the option synchronize playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  And make your selection from the list below.  A convenient way to do this is to create one or more playlists in your iTunes library with songs you want on the iPod (or you can use the existing playlist).  Back on the screen of the iPod Music settings, find and select (check) the selections under playlists.  Then (after you confirm the selection), click apply.  Go ahead, iTunes keeps the 'synchronized' iPod based on how to set up this screen.  If you configured to synchronize library of ensemble music, all the sync changes automatically the next time you connect iPod (or click sync , if already connected).

  • IPod music and videos displaying not not Sandisk App

    Hi all

Just bought a Sandisk Connect Wireless Media Drive 64 GB for my nephew for Christmas.

Thought it would be a neat gift and was hoping to get one for me and another Member of the family.

    But I'm a little disappointed because I can't solve a problem, we're going to have. Maybe I
misunderstood features of the product, but I could install app on the ipod touch and connect
It firmly to the media player using wpa.

Start the application from Sandisk and was able to connect to and veiw sample files on the media player.

    However, when the ipod is selected I can only veiw and upload pictures to the reader;
I click on the music or video file it is empty. So my question is, should all the video files and songs of music

who's on his ipod screen in the app files so it can download its ipod music and videos for media drive.

Can someone please restore the confidence of my nephew with his uncle!

    Thanks in advance.

This is a limitation of the iOS. only iOS give apps the third party access to the bread photo. If you have music or videos stored within the iOS music or video application of media player apps will not access them. You can connect the player to the computer via a USB port and copy music and video to the media player and the media player application can distribute them to an iOS device.

  • How can I transfer only the music I want?

    Hello.

Our iMac iTunes is full of music for the whole family. How can I transfer only the songs I want on my iPod and my iPad?

    Second...

When connecting from my iPad to my iMac USB cable the iPad goes into sync mode and transfers all sorts of things on the iMac and gets things from him. All I want is to transfer my music? How can I do this?

Create your own playlists in iTunes.

Connect your iDevice to the iMac - in the main iTunes window select your iDevice - menu drop-down upper left box located to the left of the music-movies, etc.

You will see a list of 'Settings' for this device - select a tab and check the boxes of what content you want on your device.

Also in the Group of settings select 'Summary' - from there, in the 'Options' section, you have a few additional items to choose from.

  • Unable to transfer manually the music to iTunes on iPhone 6s

For the life of me I can't understand what is happening here. I have iTunes on my iMacset to transfer music manually (see screenshot), but when I drag an album to the music from my iPhone it does not sync. It shows that the album is moved so I have no idea of what I'm missing.

You don't have iTunes to synchronize manually. Uncheck "automatically sync when this iPhone is connected". When you plug in your iPhone you then click on the sync button and manually synchronize or drag them to the iPhone, or you can check the box in your Options "Sync only checked songs" and then choose all or some of your songs that you want to synchronize and they will be synchronized when you select the Sync button.

    Good luck

  • Removal of unwanted iPod music

I have a 8th gen iPod Nano.  I downloaded the music from iTunes on my iMac 24 inch.  But I want to remove some pieces of music from the iPod that I don't want.  I'm sure its simple but I can't seem to understand.  Only the delete option will also remove it also main iTunes library.

The current nano iPod is still 7th gen.  There was a recent change in the choice of colours, but the latest iPod nano design is essentially the same.

If you use the parameter manually manage to charge the iPod (drag and drop the songs on the iPod in iTunes), here's how to manually remove songs.  Select the iPod in iTunes (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to show its settings screen in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under on my device, click music.  Right, current list of songs of the iPod is displayed.  Select the song you want to delete and press delete on the keyboard.  You can do this with more than one song chosen at the same time.  This command removes the iPod, not your iTunes library song.

Only the delete option will also remove it also main iTunes library.

NOTE: If you use the parameter manually manage , remove a song from iTunes library do not remove the same song to iPod.

If you have the iPod set to use automatic synchronization (iTunes sync iPod with library iTunes music), you must use a different method if you want to iPod to have only some selected complete iTunes music to your library.  The Manual method described above does not work.  Please post back for more information.

  • Only stopping a Mid-sync effect iPod music files?

I just got a new iPod classic (160 GB). I have plugged in and was trying to synchronize the songs, when I tried to restore it for other reasons. He drew from the Mid-sync (rather than stop synchronization and clicking on eject), reconnected inside and I restored as I wanted to. I got things set up once again (this time I wanted to), and I restarted my music library synchronization. My question is this. In view of what I was doing, this will affect anything about the song, or files from my iTunes library on my iPod? Also, I reconnected my iPod all the time, and I did not detect any other 'chunks' of data/storage used by anything other than my music, apart from one very small slice called "other" as I have always seen with iPods, I plug (required information/data, I guess?)

I think not, but I wanted to check a second time with people who know better.

    Thank you

    -manas101

    PS - It's actually a version repost/update of a thread/question I just posted a bit ago. I wasn't sure if people could always answer because I accidentally marked my question as a response. In truth, I wanted to know if at least a few other people had no answer to my question. Please understand I am actually new to using this forum... ^^;

    Once again, thanks a lot.

Restore erases the iPod, so any corruption of data that you may have caused by disconnect (without ejecting first) would be gone.

  • Transfer the e260 music to new computer?

I did all the transfers of my playlist on my e260 on an old computer with Windows XP and an earlier version of Windows Media Player.

I recently bought a new computer which has Windows 7. I did not transfer my music here, but he's sitting on a separate, portable drive.

Now, I need to update my e260.

    Here are my questions:

    (1) is it possible to transfer my music from my e260 on my computer? I tried to connect the e260 to my new computer, but it shows all records music... only VOICE and FM and something else.

    (2) if I can't copy on, that I need to copy all the songs from the portable hard drive on my new computer or I can create playlists based on the music on portable hard drive (or that will be too slow)?

    (3) will be my current playlists erased once I have transferred from the Windows Media Player update or I have to wipe what is there now? If so how would I do that?

    Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you both for your input. Playlists and music have finally been added (it is so much easier now). The bike is still held, particularly after I plugged the drive and updated.
