Open Control Panel and double-click on display - which will open the Windows XP display menu.

Display Menus differ, then the next steps depend on the type of video card.  Therefore, you may have to adapt the following instructions.  However, a good place showing would be click on settings, then advanced.

The display Menu will probably be a tab marked adapter.  If Yes, click the map tab and see if it allows you to display a list of the different modes of your video card supports.  Try the different modes.  (If you have a standard 4:3 ratio monitor, try the modes 4:3 ratio.  If you have a widescreen 16:9, try ratio 16:9 modes).

If this does not help, see the control panel offers an additional icon for your video driver.  For example, Control Panel on my laptop includes a labeled icon driver Intel GMA for Mobile.  Double click on this icon you propose other format settings, include "keep proportion", "full screen (no border). and "Desktop".  Your boys may have changed one of these parameters.

If all else fails, you can try a restore of the system at a time when your computer was working OK.  (Start |) Run | C:\Windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe)

  • Something I did inadvertently deleted the menu bar, the toolbars. The screen 'back' when I move the cursor to the top of the screen if it is full screen all the time.

I was working on an email last night and must have something that I want to not defined. When I say firefox, this is full-screen, but without any menu or toolbars. Even when I move the cursor to the top of the screen to reveal what's there, yet there is no menu or toolbars list.

If you run Firefox in full screen, press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle (Mac: Ctrl + Shift + F).

  • Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox window is sometimes "off screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?

A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt. You can delete this file and Firefox will return to standard window resizing.

#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

#2 method: If you can not get a Firefox window for all:

Close Firefox by right clicking the icon in the taskbar > close all windows.

Using the Run dialog box (windows key + R) or the start search bar menu type or paste the following and press Enter to drill down to the profiles folder:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Here you can see a folder - in this case, double-click that - or more than one case - in this case, double-click on in what looks like the most recently updated.

Scroll down and rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

Then, to re - light bars, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bars it:

To activate the menu bar, toolbar bookmarks or other bars, click it in the list.

When I have videos on my calendar, they do not play in the screen of the monitor. I hear the audio but can't see the image. To test if my new files are somehow the problem, I went back and used video files that I have used successfully a year ago, and they no longer play in the monitor window. Thanks for the follow-up.

Missing in this equation are the Premiere Elements version you were using and the operating system on which it is running. But...

The Act is accomplished. But... Up to now, and after that you went ahead and moved to version 12, we now learn what Premiere Elements version you were using. We don't yet know the operating system involved.

You said first Elements 10. First 10 Elements is affected by a problem serious display known if the computer uses an NVIDIA GeForce video/graphics card card. In this issue, the only cure is to roll back the version of the driver about may 2013. The description of the problem and how to make the rear roller are described in one of the messages at the top of this forum. What video/graphics card your computer use?

On another front, Adobe will release a new version of Premiere Elements any day now. Not one, but Adobe knows the function defined for the new version. This type of information is announced at the time of the release of the new version.

So the solution to the problem you presented in this thread could have been...

1 roll back the version of the NVIDIA GeForce driver for all may 2013 if possible (Windows 8 or 8.1 64 bit, maybe not possible)

    2. move to a different version of Premiere Elements (which you did)

I offer the foregoing for consideration so that you can review your decisions. We are pleased to learn that the first items 12/12.1 works for you.

Please do not hesitate to ask questions and seek clarification, but do not forget that the answers are in the details.

    Best wishes

  • Start a game in full screen on two monitors

So, recently, I got a new monitor and I tried to run a game in full screen on the primary and another thing on the second. However, when I click on the full screen on the second monitor, it minimizes the game, EVE Online. is there a workaround for this other then put the game in windowed mode.

    I use a (e):
    ATI 5000 video card
    AMD Phenom II x 4 945
    8 GB Ram
    Win 7 x 64

    Usually not.

Most of the Games capture the mouse when it is full screen, a click of the mouse on the outside will minimize.  There are a few games now supporting mode without a border, so they can watch full screen but are not actually around this problem.

  • Full screen on the game

I have a HP Tower. While I am playing a black game are on both sides. So, how can I remove and make the game to run in full screen...?

It can be removed only if the display panel resolution is supported by the game (or any resolution same proportions). For example, 1920 x 1080, 1366 x 768, 1280 x 720 have a common aspect ratio of 16:9, if one of these resolution is recommended, if the display is in 16:9 format and must not exceed the resolution maximum support, IE, if your display resolution is 1366 x 768, you can set the game at 1920 x 1080 resolution Although both are of same proportions. Try to change the resolution in the settings of video/graphics of the game.

This kind of problem occurs with built-in laptop display only and in the case of external monitors, the video is automatically adjusted to the screen by the monitor, so the black stripes are not noticeable.

When I use the iPhone 6 (latest OS) I want to have the screen all the time when I use it in the car with the card program.
I know that it can be programmed to "Always on", but I want the screen to be closed after 2 minutes if you use the battery.

What I need to change those settings whenever I use it in the car?

  • When you play games like Cityville, Farmville etc. Never, I get the full screen. The bottom and the right side are cut off

When I opened these games, parts of the game screen is not displayed. If I click to full screen in Farmville, it shows in Cityville I can't click to full screen but the part of the screen is missing. If I open these games in Internet Explorer. the entire screen appears.

I also have this problem, the bottom of Cityville fell after some actions, mainly requesting assistance on an object that must be 'charged '. The regular calls that go straight to the facebook wall don't do that. In any case, after experimentation, I found an easy solution that works every time. I have click on the free gifts tab and send the box stuff, NRG, allowed, just some, and it resets the problem without having to close the tab in Firefox.

  • 4 crossing lines on my screen all the time?

2lines features horizontal and 2 vertical spaced regularly. as a graphic appeared on my screen all the time.how can get rid of them?

OK, it's a hardware problem then and not has nothing to do with Windows. You need to contact Asus or the supplier of the graphics card or the store that you bought it.
