• Pools of question in LMS

  Hello

  I am using Captivate 5 to create quizzes that I am uploading (?) of my LMS. I want students to access quizzes, thought of CMS, and to be able to have 4 tent then pass an exam. With each attempt, I want that they have selected, different questions from different pools of question. Could someone help me with this? How would I do this on the Captivate? How it will work once it is accessible through the LMS?

  If you want the best chance to show your users to different questions each time than do the quiz, you must define the allowed number of attempts to quiz in Captivate 1 attempt lesson and allow the LMS to control the number of times that the lesson can be launched to make the quiz.  In your case, that you want it to be 4 times, so put the LMS to allow only 4 attempts in the lesson.

  The reason why you need to do this way is due to how the randomization of question pool.  It occurs when the module is started, which means that questions selected from the pool of matter will be set for the rest of this session.  So if you allow several attempts to quiz in Captivate lesson and provide a button Retake Quiz, the user will always see the same question than the first game, they took the lesson at this session.  However, when the user raises all of the module again, then the randomization comes into play again.

  I don't know exactly what the randomization algorithm is that use question pools, but Cp modules don't persist data from a session to another.  If the module is not held a record anywhere of the questiions that he showed the last time. It is essentially a randomization fees whenever you launch the module. In other words, there is always a possibility that your user will see some of the same questions on the next launch.   To make this less likely, you must have a larger pool of questions to learn. In your case, if you have 10 questions, and you want 4 attempts with a reasonable chance to see different questions, I would advise you on 40-50 questions in the pool.

  We update a course, we developed the year last (before Captivate 3). This year we want to apply 'Question pool random questions' Captivate 3 in this course. Is there a way to create the pool of question (s) in this existing quiz, and then add the year issues last to them without entering again each question in the Question Pool Manager?

  Sure thing. Simply convert the project from version 1 or 2 at a draft of version 3. Then set a Question Pool. Once you have done that, switch to the storyboard table display. Select the question slides you want to add to the pool and right-click. You should be presented with an option to add the slide selected in the pool.

  Once you have moved the question to a pool slides, you would then insert slides of Random pointing to the pool.

• How can I improve accuracy of swimming pool?

  I tried my new Apple Watch series 2 in the pool today.  The pool at the University I work is 15 m wide and I did 30 laps.  I don't flip turn.  After my workout my watch said I did 55 laps in one less than 30 minutes.  After checking the part passing through and taking care that the hand (my watch is on), I touch the side with, I think two things.  First, it considers the key on one side a tower.  Is there a way to change this?  Second, you can improve the accuracy of the Tower, well than doubled in my case, taking care not to touch with the same hand that your watch.  Can it be formed or changed somehow?

  Also, when I started my training you only gave me the choice of the number of calories to burn.  Is there a way to set a number of towers, or do a training session open, instead?

• Two servers to connect internal using the virtual machine even in a swimming pool?

  I was deploying a pilot here VDI environment.  Working with the deployment with the planning guides, most things went smoothly.  However, in practice (and by the guides and information online) I learned that ultimately it works best to have two individual servers to connect internal (not replicated). a dedicated to access internal only, and the other coupled with a security server in the DMZ.

  My question is, can a system (physical workstation w / agent or VM) live in a resource pool manual for two managers of internal connections?  What is the best way to manage a scenario in which a worker would use a specific virtual machine during the day (and thus the internal connection manager), verus remotely using this same VM?

  Also, when you have a connection to Server 2, should a 2nd database of events created in SQL, or if it can share the same database of events?

  Lol this is not correct. For a mode environment that supports both internal and external users, it is true that you should have one or more servers dedicated to the internal connection and one or more dedicated for external, but they should all work as a replica group. for example, to install the first as a standard instance and others as a replica instance. In this way, users can access the same pools they are internal and external, administration can be performed only once on the entire environment.

  In particular, look at the diagram page 61 that shows this. All 4 connection servers are in the same group of replicated, then it will have been installed as a standard and others installed as replicas. Of course, you don't have to have 4 unless you have HA needs, you can have just two and so without balancing the load, but in all these cases, the connection servers share the configuration via the replication data.

• vCenter Resource Pool Configuration Question

  Hello all - I did some research for this topic area, but was unable to find anything, so I thought I would ask:

  Is it possible to give less physical RAM that the VM sees a VM?

  Backstory is I know of course in more than one of you: DBA SQL insists that his VM needs X amount of RAM, so if I look at the performance of the virtual machine, it don't use Y, even in a year.  Given that it requires a significant portion of available RAM our guests, I would like to put him to bed in something easier to manage than it does currently.  It's been a while since I covered her in the class, but I recall being able to do what I'm trying with pools of resources, I'm not as experienced as I'd probably with them...

  Yes VIClient just click on modify Settingson the VM, go to the "resources" tab, highlight memory, clear the unlimited checkbox and then set a limit = to real RAM you want assigned to the computer by the hypervisor and not think the BONE there.

I have been through troubleshooting, all services, reset the printer has been added manually and constantly appears in the allowed list of MAC. Even hear that someone else had this problem would be a relief as I saw nothing indicating past connectivity fail problem.

• Compaq DC5750 series desktopPC: compatible memory question

  Will HP P/N 404574-888 1 GB memory in my Compaq DC5750 series desktop PC?  I know that the PC has 4 memory slots and I think that the memory must be installed in sets of two.  I have 2 GB total now with maps two memory supplied with the PC and there are two empty slots.  I was hoping to put in two additional 1 GB memory cards each to spend a total of 4GBs of memory.  Running Windows 7, I think that I have a memory bottleneck in the performance of the PC.  When I go to the Task Manager, my memory is already 87% used after a fresh reboot.  I appreciate comments.  Thank you

• Answers to question pool or Shuffle?

  I work with Captivate v4.

  I need to create a single chapter with a series of questions all together at the end of the project as a check to learn.

  The project will be taken by many people - which some will be sitting close to each other and I want to do everything I can to stop 'cheat' with regard to the questions.

  I don't know enough about the Question Pools - so my question is this;

  Can I create a pool of questions in my draft chapter unique so that when a person A project they get a set of questions from the pool, person B Gets a new set of questions from the pool, person C Gets or a mixture of new and old and so on — indeed blur the question slides - or can I work only with shuffle answers and everyone gets the question slides even in the same order?

  If she does keep track of which questions you use easier for you, there is nothing to prevent you from creating a reference project that contains all the questions you want to use in all projects.

  However, so that these issues to engage in projects where they will be actually seen by users, you need to copy and paste (Cp5x) or import (Cp4).  There is no current way in Captivate to share questions built into a single pool so that they appear in several projects dynamically.  The need to be physically part of the project file in order to work.

  Go to Windows > Question pool to activate the tab that displays all your Question Pools.  On the Filmstrip, do a right click on a question slide (or a group of slides) and choose the context menu option to move them into a pool.

  I have a Quiz with multiple-choice using partial credit and it works fine. But if I put these questions into a pool and use random Question slides to assign issues, partial partition option is no longer available.

• How to edit issues in imported question pools

  I created a review important to question pools and set up the questions randomly long ago. Also a long time I forgot close enough on the Question Pools work.

  Now, I need to go back and modify the questions in question pools, but not to find an easy way to do it. I don't know where the original files are imported.

  I found what I think is a work around, but it is incredibly long. It is to go to Quiz > Question Pool Manager. Then click on an individual issue to bring up the slide. Then close on the pool manager question to edit this slide. Then repeat the process for the next slide that need updates.

  Is there a better way to do it? Help!

  If anyone needs to know, you go to the window > workspace > Quizzing. Then click on the tab to list the issue on the merits where the timeline is usually. Then you can click the question pool from the drop down and see all the slides.
