  Two suggestions:

  -Do beforehand another backup on your original device

  -When you are prompted to erase the decline, an old (you can wipe off in a week or two, once you are happy on your new device and some you go back and all your data is on the new device).

  Hello world. I have a problem. went to verizon and they couldn't help me. My phone got wet (in the Pocket all raining) kept phone turn off after 3 seconds. When the phone is finally back, the ball should scroll to the top and bottom but would do nothing when you press down.

  I have a password on my phone so I hit the Enter key instead of use the ball. BUT... when I went to enter my password I discovered than the Q, P and DEL keys did not work. strange. These are the two keys to outer edge of each side of the phone.

  If I could get the key to work, I would be all set. The tech at verizon button is popped and tried using a thumbtack, but it did not work. Can blackberry remotely delete an existing password? I know that sounds stupid, but I'm desperate.

  You can't break or bypass the password. You set here for a reason and that BB works as it should to be sure.

  On your laptop, load Desktop Manager version 4.6 without the media manager

  Make a backup of your device. It will ask for the IPL in DM, and you can enter on the laptop there. Full backup.

  THEN, when you get the new device, use Switch Device Wizard DM to transfer everything on the new BB... yet once you enter the PW of the former.

  If you synchronize with Outlook, do also, as a precaution, the old appliance.

  Hello!

  Since last week, my BB behaves like a "ghost".

  When I check my emails or SMS, it instantly creates a project and saves it. And not only one, but several. I have to turn the phone off to stop it.
  When checking the SMS and MMS it automaticaly paste any previous copied text and replies to the sender. In addition to cost me money, it's annoying me for several SMS Messages are sent with no sense or worse, with the text and the names of other people.

  It opens to my contacts list and send empty SMS to many of my contacts.

  When you try to see my album, it opens an image and keep zoom in and out and records under my BBM profile picture.

  When using BBM surveys, it keeps switching from cat to cat and delete previous posts.

  There are so many problems with my phone, I don't think I can describe all here...

  But, honestly, my phone works as it is currently controlled by someone. If you keep looking on how some minutes to do it all by himself, u could get confused as I am.

  This looks like what I've seen several times on a device with moisture damage.
  Even sitting on a countertop bath during a hot steamy shower or bath can cause problems with keyboard and trackball up to this JUST-withered.

  Make sure that your USB cable is connected to one of the main rear USB ports of the PC. A USB hub, or USB Monitor port not a USB port on the front of the PC.

  You could do an uninstall of DM 4.5 (on your PC > start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs)

  Hello! If the sim card is old, you might need replacement. A sim card error message that does not resolve with a soft or hard, starting usually indicates a problem with the SIM itself.  Do you know if the sim card is 32 k or 64 k?
