  Partitioning itself has no impact on performance. You can get slightly better performance by how you distribute folders and files on a partitioned system but I would not partition to eliminate program freezes. It's the wrong way to tackle the problem.

  There are many reasons for freezes.

  Freezes occur mainly because the task or tasks require more memory or one that is immediately available to the capacity of the CPU.
