Symbols of the event viewer and 'Error' or warning

In the "Event Viewer" window, in the file of the application, there are events 1701. All of these events have a 'mistake' or the symbol 'warning' in the column type.  Is this serious? How did this happen and an average person can solve these erroors and these warnings? Kenny

    Hi James,

It's a SQL API based in the event database connection, it does not need an ODBC connection, see will do for you.

I just wanted to know what operating system you are using to connect to the server and did you do Windows Update on this machine? If not done it please do.

restart the machine try connecting the event database. It does not work please check the things mentioned in the KB below

    http://KB.VMware.com/kb/1029537

You can do one more thing before checking the KB, if the connection to the server OS is windows 2012 and the SQL Windows 2012, take a snapshot of the VM Server conection and proceed to

    under location

    C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Server\broker\shared\lib\sqljdbc-1.2.jar

Stop all the service view in the connection to the server.

    sqljdbc - 1.2.jar and rename sqljdbc - 1.2.jar.backup.

Download SQL JDBC 3.0 driver http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=21599

extract the downloaded file and copy the sqljdbc4.jar to location (C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Server\broker\shared\lib\)

also copy same file once more and rename the file to sqljdbc-1.2.jar

Restart all services server connection and wait 10 minutes, then check the admin page.

I got the system freeze when in "sleep mode" and "blue screen". I ran system restore, regcure and scan all the material for viruses, etc..
The last event gave the source as "gusvc" and the details as follows:

"The description of event ID gusvc source 0 was not found. Either the component that triggers this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. »

Where the head? I'm trying to avoid replacing my hard drive (had data from external drives movement all along).

    joanjps

    Hi joanjps,

Thank you for using answers Forum.

"gusvc" is the Google update service. I suggest re-installing/updating your Google product to solve this problem.

If your using Google Earth, you can check the minimum hardware required for use, because it's a lot of resources.

I also suggest updating your video card driver by visiting the manufacturers Web and search for the latest version of the driver.

    I hope this helps.

I just installed win 7 Ult 7 days.  In the event viewer, I got 1000 errors and I was wondering where I can get help? TY

And the list continues to become more mistakes as the months go bye.  Usually after 3 monts, my PC slows to a crawl, and I have to reinstall Windows & Ultimate!

It is very annoying.  I'm not the smartest when it comes to the PC, but I know enough when I have a problem.

Now, while I was with PC Cleaner Pro, I allowed a representative to take control of my PC to help set, and he went into the event viewer and showed me the error 1007 in

the event viewer.  He told me that only a technician 35 Microsoft could fix tis problem.

I would like to know how to solve these problems myself.  If that means classes or tests, I'm ready to get there!

But for now, I just want to know how to clean and fix the errors in the event viewer

So if you could tell me please small whet you need to me to help him with this problem, I'm ready

It's really annoying tio do reinjstall windows every 3 months.  So if you can help, I would be very happy VERY MUCH!

Errors and warnings in the event logs are not usually a sign of a major problem.

Unfortunately, there are many technical support providers who refer clients to the event log in order to convince them to pay for questionable services.

Use of cleaners and Tune up utilities is not recommended. They can often cause problems.

Use the construct in Windows utilities

    http://www.Microsoft.com/athome/Setup/optimize.aspx

Ensure that all remote access program is deleted from your computer.

Use a search engine to find information on all the events that occur frequently, specifying the event id and source, for example search for "eventid 512 capi2. Try to avoid scam sites that are always asked by this kind of research. Stick to sites of Microsoft or somewhere like www.eventid.net which is a good source of free information.

  • I built a new system. Transferred to the hard drive and video card, but everything else is new. Restart Windows as it begins to start. I can get into safe mode and found event id 7026 and event id 7001 in the event viewer.

As mentioned above, this is a new system, but with a more older IDE hard drive with windows xp pack 2 service (I think). When you first start, it says that windows is not stopped correctly and asks me to choose whether to start it normally or without failure or last known working configuration. When I choose to start windows normally, it will load up to a point. The screen of Windows Xp will come with the slide bar. It will then restart. When I choose to start in safe mode, a bunch of 32 file system scrolls upwards on the screen. I don't remember if it of normal or not. He takes over in SafeMode but. I did find something online that contains all the system boot or start specific drivers. Windows and harddrive was working in another computer just before he was switched. Let me know if you need other information.

    Thank you.

First of all you are missing probably a number of device drivers, particularly the network card driver and the driver of the motherboard.  Use your XP disk to perform a repair installation.  This should go a long way toward you're going to get.  If your new box has a driver disc that should help a lot.  You can't port XP perfectly the way you did.   It usually requires a repair installation to fix the hardware abstraction layer. • How can I remove selected Custom view (s) of the event viewer Console tree?

I looked at the MMC Help on create and manage custom views.

I can't find a way to remove the custom filter views in the Console tree, which can be found on the left side of the event viewer.

How can I remove selected Custom view (s) when they serve no more values?

    Problem solved

I asked this question because I was unable to see what was going on in the event viewer and I couldn't find help in mmc HTML Help. However, now I see what's happening and I can give you a solution to my own question.

    Cause

If I connect to the computer as a user with administrator privileges, I am able to use the event viewer to create a custom view filter that can be used by all users who have access to the event viewer. If I fix remove a view filter custom Console tree, I can't delete it unless I'm logged in as the user who created it.

    Solution

    1. Log the computer as the user who created the custom view.
    2. Start Event Viewer
    3. Use the right-click of the mouse on a custom view filter selected in the Console tree, open the drop down menu.
    4. Delete appears fourth in the bottom of the menu if and only if you are logged on as the user who created this view.
    5. Select Remove to remove the filter to custom view.

If Delete does not appear in the drop-down menu, then it may not possible you connect as the user who created the custom view.

  • Entries in the event viewer that pilot was able to load while the drivers are loaded

I look in the event viewer and see numerious entries that said:

    The driver failed to load unit WpdBusEnumRoot\UMB\2 \Driver\WUDFRd & 37c186b & 0 & STORAGE #VOLUME # _____? _USBSTOR #DISK & VEN_GENERIC - & PROD_COMPACT_FLASH & REV_1. 00 #20060413092100000 & 0 #.

I looked in Device Manager and all the drivers are OK.  No yellow exclamation point.

    I have a HP P6792UK computer

I "solved" this problem by making the "Windows Driver Foundation - User - mode Driver Framework" (wudfsvc) to automatic.

  • Errors and warnings in the event viewer on the new laptop

I have a HP 2000 Notebook PC with the product number QE279UA #ABA

Bought and started using it at the end of December 2011.

-Since then, I had immediate problems with the WiFi adapter (HP tried to solve the problem by sending a new network card, but the problem does not present yet so I never installed)

-He had 3 cases where the laptop closed by himself for reasons unknown (he didn't feel not enough for overheating hot, and with it being new, I don't see it being already a reason), tonight being one of them, so when I saw somewhere online read the event viewer, I see as since 22 December 2011 I had 279 errors, 596 warnings. I do not understand one of them of course except the 3 criticals hence my laptop a intestinal shutdown. I have a feeling that these numbers are not good, given only to being less than 2 months old, but I don't know exactly what to ask about what to do. I wish I could have someone to look rather than try to describe the problems through e-mails and forums, but I don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to bring to Geek Squad or the other. How should I proceed?

    Thanks for any info.

Warnings are normal and can be ignored.

Mistakes can happen, I have 42 in the last 7 days, but my system works fine. Windows manages quite well the errors, and generally, they are not a problem, but will record in all cases. It takes a trained eye to sort through this and understand if there is a serious problem or not.

Criticism can be a problem, but looks like they are at the unexpected stop, so no useful information can be drawn from those.

If you go to control panel (display the icon) and click Action Center, that's where things that go wrong get reported you, if it is clear from all the messages, then you can ignore the event viewer.

You have a problem with the unexpected stops, they are very difficult to unravel by the normal user and needs professional diagnosis.

You are under warranty with HP? If you are, you can contact HP on the problem, make sure you have your personal files backed up before instructions from HP to resolve the shutdown problem.

    Hello Steven,

Did you ever receive notifications that a virus or malware has been removed from your system recently?
My only thought is that it is the remains of an infection on your machine.
It is most likely harmless, but I don't understand why you'd be concerned.
Do you have any task scheduled to run at startup using Task Scheduler built into Windows?
I would check to see if there are tasks to run at startup:
  • Received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft - error in MS Windows event viewer and warnings

I just got a phone call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft.  He directed me to go to MS Windows event viewer and County errors and warnings in the Applications and the system section.  Then he asked me to let them access my computer and fix any problems that would be 'crash' of my computer.  When I refused him access said he couldn't help me and hung up.  I do not think that it was Microsoft but are ratings warning and error a problem?  I use Windows XP.

Kudos to you 1Grizzly, you have made the right choice. Microsoft does not make unsolicited support calls or send emails to customers, offering support.

    Parameters of scanning has been:

    • System
    • Errors
    • 1-20 errors, valued at twenty.

What are these errors and they are nothing to worry about?

I have Nero 8 on this system and have an updated hosts file the running here: http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm

Not sure, but I may have changed a network setting to activate the new hosts file work properly.

Seen these errors for a while. system works well and smoothly.  No symptoms of malware or infection seen or found.  I would call these software errors as they seem does not affect the operation of the system.

    XP Home Edition SP3 P4 2.8 2 GB RAM

    Oh yes :)

I have never used the program VEW and don't think I will check it - I just look at the Event Viewer logs the old-fashioned way (manually) if I think that there is a problem, but that might just be the old me.

It is true that XP Home doesn't have Group Policy Editor, but all policy settings are always available via the registry.

Some malware will change your GP settings and cause problems.

I have a little import registry will correct all the ones I know, so if someone has these symptoms, any flavor of XP, they are running, I'll just send the script because sometimes you will be not able to solve the problem, even if you have not the GP Editor.

The registry always import work - and work well for XP Home or XP Pro.  If you have the symptoms and XP Home, what would you?   Start the import operation of the registry.

If you're curious, off on my SkyDrive it is a spreadsheet Excel (Group Policy settings) who has all the parameters of GP and where they are in the registry.  I do not recommend start searching, but it is useful to know where things are if there is a problem.

I would not allow the connection of a security XP stuff unless you think you're being attacked.  More and verbose logging slows things down.  My Event Viewer Security log is empty.

Find the links to the Microsoft Support Engineer for the most part useless to actually solve a problem (because it help you with your problem), if someone has a question or point of Event Viewer, I usually just send them this:

To view the logs in Event Viewer, click Start, settings, Control Panel, administrative tools, event viewer.

A shortcut to the event viewer is to click on start, run and enter in the box:

    %SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc

Click OK to launch the event viewer.

The most interesting newspapers are usually the system and Application logs.

Some newspapers such as security and Internet Explorer may be completely empty or have just a few items.  The default settings for XP wants do not connect all this activity, unless you need to solve a problem in these areas.  If you enable logging for them the papers fill up quickly and could adversely affect the performance of your system with all the extras (often unnecessary) activity.

If you have Microsoft Office installed, it has its own newspapers, and they can be empty or occasional boring activity very little or, if there is no problem with your desktop applications.  It's normal.

Not every event is a problem, some are informational messages that things work very well, and some are warnings.

However, no event should defy reasonable explanation.

Each event is sorted by Date and time.  Errors will be red Xs, warnings will have yellow! s.
Informational messages have white is.  Not every error or warning event means that there is a serious question.

Some are excusable at boot time when Windows starts.  Try to find only the events to the date and time around your problem.

If you double-click on an event, it will open a window of properties with more information.  On the right are black up and down arrow keys to scroll through the open events. The third button that looks like two overlapping pages is used to copy the details of the event in your Windows Clipboard.

When you find an interesting event that occurred at the time of your question, click on the third button at the top and arrows to copy the details and then you can paste the details (right click, paste or CTRL-V) the text in detail here for analysis.  Remove all personal information from your information after you paste If you are forced to do so.

If you paste an event, it will look something like this annoying system startup event:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Service Control Manager
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 7035
    Date: 14/07/2010
    Time: 17:54:18
    User: Jose
    Computer: computer

    Description:
The Remote Access Connection Manager service was sent successfully a starting control.

To get a fresh start on any log of the event viewer, you can choose to clear the log (the log backup is available), and then reproduce your problem, then just look at the events around your show and troubleshoot events that are happening when you have your question.

You can search for events on the World Wide Web and get ideas.  It's where people events they see and then to the top of their questions, ideas and solutions:

    http://www.EventID.NET/

If you find your event in the discussion, the first idea or discussion does not necessarily mean it is the "answer" to your situation, so read through all the ideas to find the one that sounds more like your situation.

  • Error in Event Viewer and warning messages.

original title: ERROR EVENT VIEWER AND warning MESSAGES

My computer is running Windows XP Media Center Edition and if I click on the PANEL, performance and Maintenance, administrative tools, event viewer and select Application and/or system I see RED around the icons who say ERROR and yellow triangular icons who say WARNNING. This condition is a problem and what is the origin of the messages must be generated?

    Hi SamRyan,

See this article which should give you more details on the event viewer.

Procedure to view and manage event logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP

Microsoft Windows XP - using Event Viewer

  • Impossible to start and open the event viewer.

I have Windows Vista (SP1) currently and am having some problems with the event viewer.

Whenever I try to run the observer of events, either through the program or the elevated command prompt, MMC pushes me to get approval to open.

Once opened, an error message appears indicating "MMC cannot initialize the snap-in" with the only option to hit being 'Okay '.
I love the event viewer in order to keep track of my system and wonder if there is any means possible to get this corrected and resolved.
    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello

You did changes to the computer before the show?

Check if the problem persists with the different user account.

I suggest you to proceed to the next method.

Method 1: Run System File Checker (SFC) scan on your computer to fix this.

SFC analyzes and verifies the versions of all protected system files after you restart your computer.

Check the link for more information to do the same below:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Restart the computer and check.

Method 2: If the problem persists, I suggest you to open in safe mode with networkevent viewer.

See the link below to start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Method 3: If the problem resolves itself into safe mode with network, perform the clean boot. Clean boot helps eliminate any driver or software conflicts. This is because as the usual startup programs as well as non-Microsoft services are not started in a clean boot configuration.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

After you perform a clean boot, restart your computer and check.

Note: After you perform a clean boot, perform step 7: reset the computer to start as usual of the above article.
