Thank you.  I had been in the Office Manager several times try to configure how to synchronize my contacts.  I didn't know you could actaully highlight the address Word Book 1) checkboxes because, then 2) when you run the mouse over your cursor - it is not previously put in highlight letting you know that you can select.  So, long story short once I understood actually clicking on the word would choose what I wanted to change, which would activate the button below.

    Yay.  This works.  Thanks again.

  • Smartphones blackBerry sync Blackberry Torch with Outlook calendar

    Hello

I recently switched from a Windows phone to the Blackberry Torch because I needed a phone that would easily synchronize with Outlook.  I have it set to only change the calendar on the device (not the PC) because I'm afraid that Outlook events will be deleted.

What is me confused is that when the synchronization of calendar, he wants to delete and add the same events, even when I make any changes to the calendar on the phone or Outlook.  I get the following:

The following changes to Microsoft Outlook calendar will be applied to your device data in the calendar:

    934 deletion
    Addition of 934

I don't know why he wants to do.  Events may be in the past or future, or no periodical.

Anyone know why this is happening?

In your synchronization settings, you put "replace all data in the target application?  If so, that means it will delete everything on your BlackBerry and replace it with everything in Outlook, so it would be normal.

  • Smartphones blackBerry sync Blackberry "BOLD" with Outlook 2000

I just bought a blackberry "BOLD" and I went to sync it with my computer at work, that has Outlook 2000 on him.  I installed the synchronization software and when I went to install my synchronization properties not showed Outlook as an option.  ATT, I called and they told me that the Desktop Software 4.6 doesn't support outlook 2000, but the blackberry "BOLD" does not support a different version of the desktop software.  So I'm stuck between the hammer and the anvil.  Is there a way around this (other than the obvious improvement my Outlook) known. Or are there other programs on IE companion link or something like that let you synchronize my blackberry to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Phillips

I finally got my phone synced with my Outlook 2000 to work.  However, you must use the 3rd party app Companion Link.  In addition, it must be the most up-to-date version (V3). Link companion works with Desktop Manager to synchronize with the configuration of the office for a 'add-in' program manager, then I put everything in place through related link, including programs that I would use.  If anyone has found a way to sync without the help of a third party app please let me know.

    Thank you

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

I searched the public KB RIM and found nothing on everything I tried. You can also try here:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/searchEntry.do

So, what I could guess, is that you must upgrade your RIM software to the latest version that supports your chosen PIM. See the following article:

KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

This way, you will have the latest updates, patches, fixes, etc. Just stay with a version that supports your PIM. V5.0 is also out, but is not yet listed in this KB. If your PIM is supported in the latest version of the KB, it would probably be a relatively safe assumption that he is also supported in 5.0... in which case you should update the IMO to 5.0.

So you know how it goes.

  • Sync blackBerry Smartphones with Yahoo's "BOLD"

I just changed a 8310 to a 9000 "BOLD".  The version of the desktop software that accompanies the 8310 would not talk to "BOLD", so I downloaded the last of the RIM (v4.6.0.12).  This meets with the "BOLD" fine, however, I am no longer able to synchronize with the address book Yahoo, notebook and list tasks (calendar I use Google Sync).  The only option for import is ASCII.  Of course, you can generate a CSV on Yahoo, but the names of the fields are all different and in a different order than that used by the "BOLD".  Importing resulting is a mess.  I tried to use the other options to export without success.

    Nobody knows:
    * If an earlier version of the desktop software works with Yahoo and "BOLD"?

    * Is there a tool around than transformations Yahoo exported data in a digestible form by 4.6.0.12 Office, such as software third thrid?

For the moment, I see the "BOLD" like a giant step back for humanity.   All advice appreciated.

Answering my own question: you return to the v4.3, which supports Yahoo, after carefully removing the latest version using the procedure given in the knowledge base.

  • Sync blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry email. (sent in box)

    Hi all

You have a problem, has suddenly found that when I send emails from my blackberry, the email don't sync to my inbox sent on thunderbird.

But it works perfectly before, can someone tell me what is happening?

p.s. I just change my bb 9700 to 9860, but assume that it does not affect, is not it?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Thunderbird is an email client application. The BB has no interaction with client applications. On the contrary, the BB interacts with your mail server, governed by these guidelines:

    • KB05133 Features of the BlackBerry Internet Service email reconciliation

If reconciliation messages sent is supposed to operate between your BB and your mail server, then this is at Thunderbird in order to reflect this on your computer. You should check the server folder elements sent to the address or not real between your BB and your mail server if it works.

If it's supposed to work your sent items still server is not being updated, so please try these steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS configuration for these accounts.

Also check your configuration of BIS (e-mail Setup Wizard) and make sure that reconciliation sent items is turned on (assuming that it is supposed to work at all, in other words).

Good luck and let us know!

  • Help with calendar with Outlook sync blackBerry Smartphones to all appointments will not sync...

I'm not a great tech, but I have some skills good enough for a girl, if I say so myself... but I'm so frustrated... I need help.

This is my first public post... So I hope that I give all the information but who will help, if I missed something, please let me know.

    Here is some background info:

    I have a BB "BOLD"

I use it NOT on a company (network)

I sync my bb with my dell

    Windows Vista (UGH!)

    Outlook - Version 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001

My calendar and my contacts are the most important reason, I have a bb

    My contacts are FINE

    My schedule is a MESS

I have 2 separate email addresses work well my bb... For the purposes of his post, I will refer to them as

    [email protected] and

    [email protected]

When I do appointments in my work calendar, I do one of 2 things to get all my appointments on the BB

Plan my gmail as a participant in the designation address or

Prior to the appointment to my gmail from my work email address

When I make an appointment directly from my BB I do it by selecting Menu > new = my default settings of the account gmail under the 'send '.

    BB News:

    When I'm in the calendar and select > Menu.Options > calendars > I have 3 options

[email protected] who has (518 entries)

Default device that has (157 results)

[email protected] who has (429 entries)

When I go to the Menu > Options > Advanced Options > Services > (CICAL) by default is [email protected] , it shows that I have options to select my Gmail or my .mac address

That is the problem - it did not used to happen, and I frankly did not know that my backup was messed up so I don't know how long this is happening.

    When I sync with Outlook

There are only 518 appointments that are synchronized

I can't get the other 157 (defect of the unit) + 429 (mac) to sync with my outlook

Can someone help me to get them all on my gmail calendar? or in my outlook so that I can then sync back with the BB

I will not sync my bb with my mac

    Here's what I tired:

    • Yelling at the computer
    • Yelling in Spanish at the BlackBerry
    • ignoring the two
    • I stopped myself to throw both of them against the wall.

    But seriously

I put the BB Desktop Manager to perform a one-way synchronization > bb to outlook = NOTHING only synchronize gmail

I changed the (CICAL) to my mac address and synchronized = NOTHING - only synchronization gmail

I am at a loss and would appreciate any help.

    Hello

We will remember and then on MAC records.

Outlook contains records of 158 of the associated Gmail Calendar.

The calendar by default folders must be cleared and restored to the associated Gmail Calendar.

The Blackberry associated gmail calendar resulting will be then synchronized with Outlook to add the former default records

resulting calendars synced to Outlook and Blackberry.

Reading this, I propose more than once. Method 3 is what we do.

Let me know, tomorrow, what questions you have the procedure so that we can ensure we succeed.

KB16063 Unexpected results occur when syncing with a BlackBerry smartphone that has several CICAL service records.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Storm of Smartphones with Outlook 2007 calendar sync

Hi, my first post so sorry if already in the forum somewhere else.  He analyzed briefly but couldn't find anything.

My legacy calendar has all the calendar information that has previously been synchronization of Outlook.  My Outlook calendar for some reason any is now empty apart from 2 recent entries.  I don't know how it happened.

When I plug in Desktop Manager to synchronize, it does not pick up all the entries in calendar on the device and to replicate in Outlook.

    He is used to.

I'm not technical at all, but all the I can think is that he appears to have happened after upgrade to Manager V5 last week and on the device, I noticed that all the entries that are not are in device calendar rather than one associated with my email address.

If I add an entry on my device and synchronization of Outlook, it seems to work, so I think that its something to do with the 'old' stuff being labeled as the device calendar - does not know how it would have been reclassified, however, or how to get back so it syncs.

Any help would be much apreciated

    Pat

I need to get my Outlook of replication

Ok. cool, so if you need to COMBINE all the calendars that you want...

If the calendar entries are present on multiple calendars on the BlackBerry smartphone and a calendar is intended to be used, follow these steps to merge the calendars.

Age of your device is not relevant. If your usage patterns consume a lot of resources, it's the situation. But I have no way of knowing what your habits are, so I can't guide you. Basically, however, you will need to find out what is 'normal' for your usage patterns and then only worry when things diverge significantly from that. If it means charge 3 times a day due to a very intense use, that's what it means.

    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone

It is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

  • Error on blackBerry Smartphones with calendar synchronization - Outlook 2007 for Nextel Curve 8350i

Since last Monday, I start to have problems of synchronization with Outlook 2007.  I have a Nextel 8350i curve. An Intellisync error message appears saying 'Operation complete unexpectedly.'

It comes to my environment. I do not use BES.  I now have Desktop Manager 4.7 installed (it changed from 5.0 when I started having this error).  I have 2-way sync set up for the calendar only, right now.  And I have a few recurring events in my calendar. I use my work email, which is recognized as a personal email account.

As I said, the problem started last Monday.  After a search through various forums, I tried the following: my BB wiping and restore with backup files.  It does not work.

I tried deleting the calendar databases, wiping the BB and restore with backup files.  It worked for a day.

Then, I uninstalled Desktop Manager 5.0 and installed 4.6.  No difference.

After talking with the technical support of BB, who believes that there is a problem in my computer, I completely cleaned, virus scanned, defragmented, updated, scanned my computer. After all this, Calendar sync worked 3 times before crapping again.

I am at a loss.  My next step would be to create a new connection to my computer. But I doubt that this will fix the problem.

    Any ideas?

  • BlackBerry Desktop Manager Blackberry Smartphones: Microsoft Outlook address book Sync

    Hi all

I just fixed my computer after a vista fail and have installed microsoft office 2007 with microsoft outlook connector for my hotmail.  I also installed the latest version of BB Desktop Manager, however when I try to set up my address book synchronization with outlook (configure > synchronization > sync 'Configure sync to my desktop computer settings'), I get the error Microsoft Outlook Connector, "a default profile is not found."

I'm not sure what it means, and I'd appreciate any help you can offer!

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

So that the BB to sync with email, it uses the MAPI profile to connect.

It seems that you do not have a MAPI profile configuration - probably because the Hotmail connector uses a special profile and not a standard MAPI profile...

You have a hotmail Pop3 account?

Can you implement a MAPI profile french: Control Panel - Mail

    That should make it work.
