Sync blackBerry Smartphones with Yahoo's "BOLD"

I just changed a 8310 to a 9000 "BOLD".  The version of the desktop software that accompanies the 8310 would not talk to "BOLD", so I downloaded the last of the RIM (v4.6.0.12).  This meets with the "BOLD" fine, however, I am no longer able to synchronize with the address book Yahoo, notebook and list tasks (calendar I use Google Sync).  The only option for import is ASCII.  Of course, you can generate a CSV on Yahoo, but the names of the fields are all different and in a different order than that used by the "BOLD".  Importing resulting is a mess.  I tried to use the other options to export without success.

Nobody knows:
* If an earlier version of the desktop software works with Yahoo and "BOLD"?

* Is there a tool around than transformations Yahoo exported data in a digestible form by 4.6.0.12 Office, such as software third thrid?

For the moment, I see the "BOLD" like a giant step back for humanity.   All advice appreciated.

Answering my own question: you return to the v4.3, which supports Yahoo, after carefully removing the latest version using the procedure given in the knowledge base.

  • Sync blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry email. (sent in box)

    Hi all

You have a problem, has suddenly found that when I send emails from my blackberry, the email don't sync to my inbox sent on thunderbird.

But it works perfectly before, can someone tell me what is happening?

p.s. I just change my bb 9700 to 9860, but assume that it does not affect, is not it?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Thunderbird is an email client application. The BB has no interaction with client applications. On the contrary, the BB interacts with your mail server, governed by these guidelines:

    • KB05133 Features of the BlackBerry Internet Service email reconciliation

If reconciliation messages sent is supposed to operate between your BB and your mail server, then this is at Thunderbird in order to reflect this on your computer. You should check the server folder elements sent to the address or not real between your BB and your mail server if it works.

If it's supposed to work your sent items still server is not being updated, so please try these steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS configuration for these accounts.

Also check your configuration of BIS (e-mail Setup Wizard) and make sure that reconciliation sent items is turned on (assuming that it is supposed to work at all, in other words).

Good luck and let us know!

  • Help with calendar with Outlook sync blackBerry Smartphones to all appointments will not sync...

I'm not a great tech, but I have some skills good enough for a girl, if I say so myself... but I'm so frustrated... I need help.

This is my first public post... So I hope that I give all the information but who will help, if I missed something, please let me know.

    Here is some background info:

    I have a BB "BOLD"

I use it NOT on a company (network)

I sync my bb with my dell

    Windows Vista (UGH!)

    Outlook - Version 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001

My calendar and my contacts are the most important reason, I have a bb

    My contacts are FINE

    My schedule is a MESS

I have 2 separate email addresses work well my bb... For the purposes of his post, I will refer to them as

    [email protected] and

    [email protected]

When I do appointments in my work calendar, I do one of 2 things to get all my appointments on the BB

Plan my gmail as a participant in the designation address or

Prior to the appointment to my gmail from my work email address

When I make an appointment directly from my BB I do it by selecting Menu > new = my default settings of the account gmail under the 'send '.

    BB News:

    When I'm in the calendar and select > Menu.Options > calendars > I have 3 options

[email protected] who has (518 entries)

Default device that has (157 results)

[email protected] who has (429 entries)

When I go to the Menu > Options > Advanced Options > Services > (CICAL) by default is [email protected] , it shows that I have options to select my Gmail or my .mac address

That is the problem - it did not used to happen, and I frankly did not know that my backup was messed up so I don't know how long this is happening.

    When I sync with Outlook

There are only 518 appointments that are synchronized

I can't get the other 157 (defect of the unit) + 429 (mac) to sync with my outlook

Can someone help me to get them all on my gmail calendar? or in my outlook so that I can then sync back with the BB

I will not sync my bb with my mac

    Here's what I tired:

    • Yelling at the computer
    • Yelling in Spanish at the BlackBerry
    • ignoring the two
    • I stopped myself to throw both of them against the wall.

    But seriously

I put the BB Desktop Manager to perform a one-way synchronization > bb to outlook = NOTHING only synchronize gmail

I changed the (CICAL) to my mac address and synchronized = NOTHING - only synchronization gmail

I am at a loss and would appreciate any help.

    Hello

We will remember and then on MAC records.

Outlook contains records of 158 of the associated Gmail Calendar.

The calendar by default folders must be cleared and restored to the associated Gmail Calendar.

The Blackberry associated gmail calendar resulting will be then synchronized with Outlook to add the former default records

resulting calendars synced to Outlook and Blackberry.

Reading this, I propose more than once. Method 3 is what we do.

Let me know, tomorrow, what questions you have the procedure so that we can ensure we succeed.

KB16063 Unexpected results occur when syncing with a BlackBerry smartphone that has several CICAL service records.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thank you

  • Turn off wireless sync blackBerry Smartphones

    BlackBerry Bold 9700, Version 6, Bundle, 1879 (v6.0.0.448, platform 6.6.0.124).

To synchronize your organizer data, you must turn off sync wireless for each data type of Organizer you want to sync using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software.

    1. On your BlackBerry® smartphone, in calendar, Contacts application, tasks of application or Notepad application, press the Menu key > Options.
    2. If necessary, click a calendar or contact list.
    3. Change the wireless synchronization in No. field or uncheck the wireless sync.

  • Schedule of blackBerry Smartphones is exploded my Bold 9780

Hi, recently my calendar disappeared completely from my Bold 9780. I can't access it anywhere on my phone. At first, I thought it was just my icon that was deleted, but now I can't seem to find that anything that is related to my calendar at all on my phone. Use my upcoming events, that I posted in my calendar is displayed all the time in the same area as my messages, but now none are appearing. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thank you

    Brandon

Please check and see if the calendar application is always installed (it is a basic application and cannot be easily removed... but only in some cases):

    • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone

Also remember that you control with a lot of attention to the calendar icon... Make sure that you look at each part of the home screen, as well as in each subfolder to the home screen... it is possible that you accidentally moved the icon. Also make sure you have "Show all" active you are looking for, make sure that the icon was accidentally hidden.

If not, have you installed anything since it last worked OK? A new theme perhaps? If Yes, try to remove that and see if your calendar resumes its normal operation.

In addition, is nothing happened between the time things were normal and this behavior started? A new application, updating, nothing else? Think carefully because the smallest thing could be causal... and maybe try to undo that.

In addition, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see if you can access the calendar app. If so, then some 3rd party app interferes.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Confused BlackBerry Smartphones with Blackberry Storm Desktop Manager

The Roxio program platform is really confusing me. I'm used to a Palm application and can't quite get the hang of this thing.

My biggest problem is that I can't find a way to use my computer to add contacts instead of on the phone. This program is an application where you can use the laptop to add information and new contacts and then synchronize with the phone?

I figured out how to add video (although its easier by using the mass media and simply drag / drop), add pictures and Itunes sync but contacts seem to be non-existent.

    As always, thanks in advance!

the Palm is 'Connector PC' + 'PIM' (personal information manager)
the RIM is just "PC connector.

In addition to the Desktop Manager, you must use a PIM on your desktop. Best solutions are Microsoft Outlook or IBM Lotus Notes. Both allow you to edit your contacts on your PC and then synchronize with your BlackBerry smartphone.

or you can use GoogleMail contacts, with real-time wireless synchronization. This solution does not require a PC.

  • E-mail blackBerry Smartphones and Yahoo on Torch 9850

I have my e mail with Yahoo.  What I see on my Blackverry is somewhat short and different from what I get on my PC.  On the PC version, I've implemented a number of folders that I move my e mail entering after reading. None of these files appear on the Blackberry.  (I got a Droid for a short period, and all of these files showed on the Droid - so my guess is that it is possible).  Anyone know if this can be fixed?

    Hello

Other devices how do email is very different from the way, send an e-mail to the BBs. other devices have an email client full on the camera that takes care of everything, generate traffic between the device and the email service even when there is 'nothing to do' (the very act of control generates traffic, even if the result has nothing to do). BB instead uses a carrier/RIM hosted service called BlackBerry Internet Service, and it works as an intermediary between your BB and your e-mail service, check your server for 'something to do' without generating any traffic for the BB. The results are very different on the BBs as on other devices. See this reference:

    • KB28745 Unable to receive e-mails on the built-in account when messages are transferred to another folder in the email client

As you can see, use a subfolder is not supported on BBs with Yahoo.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones connect Yahoo IM

It's my first BB and I'm in love, but I seem to have a problem with Yahoo IM App.  The problem is when I go to log in it, I get a Username and a password that is not valid.  OK, yes I know, which should mean that I am typing of one or the other.  Insofar as the user name, well I can double check easly as it is just there.  I've tried it with and without @yahoo.com.  The password. I checked each letter (because they show briefly before becoming *), I tried to type the password to notes view so it could be visible and cut and past above.  Yes, just to make sure I was using the good name and account, I logged on to Yahoo IM (via the desktop program and Web App) by using the same username / password.  Finally, I also tried to uninstall and reinstall via construction request list and get on the blackberry site and it redownloading from there.

I'm almost out of options, what am I missing I (in addition to a working application )

You're probably typoing it somewhere, but try to change the password of the account to something else (easier) and try again.
