• Why Firefox Sync does not work on my home network, but at work?

  Firefox Sync on my laptop does not work when my laptop is connected to my home network, but for example if I'm at my desk.

  The internet connection in my house is fine, I can surf the web with this same Firefox on IPv4 and IPv6, DNS etc. also works. Connection to accounts.firefox.com works also, as Firefox for the sync account. Only the synchronization process runs aground. On my desktop at home, I have exactly the same problems. When I open https://sync-209-us-west-2.sync.services.mozilla.com/ in a browser tab, I see a confirmation message that synchronization runs on this server, so apparently the network path between my computer and this server is free.

  To exclude a possible configuration problem or bad module, I created a clean Firefox profile and logged into my account in Firefox, but this shows exactly the same problems.

  Fun fact: Firefox on my Android phone will sync on my home network.

  The problem seems to be with your ISP - you can refer to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1118958 and they may be able to find a workaround by changing your diet or to help you configure a different MTU for the network.

  Hello everyone,

  I wanted to update my Firefox Sync account from the old to the new version. Unfortunately, the login page does not load on my laptop. On my Android devices, everything works fine, so I could already put in place the new account from there, I just can not connect to my new account sync on my laptop. • Sync does not work after reinstalling Windows 7

  Sync works great between my Windows 7 Desktop and 8.1 tablet. The PC got a clean installation of Windows this weekend and now Sync does not work. I do not receive my bookmarks/history/etc on the desktop.

  -Two versions of Firefox are updated (40.0.2)
  -J' read the troubleshooting and installation FAQs
  -I am able to sign in sync on both computers
  -For the signature, I get a popup saying that Sync will begin momentarily and an e-mail notification. Nothing happens tho.

  I suspect that the problem is related to this 'new' version of Sync. I tried to follow the FAQ "Updated to the new version of Sync", I took off the two devices, I checked both are on the latest version of Firefox, but the next step is to create a new account to sync and it doesn't let me do, I plug my email and get "account already exists." What Miss me?

  The new profile created from the clean windows installed a fusion with other devices? Check the device to see if it retains profile data.

  Have you changed the password? This would stop all data from previous synchronization that was not local.

  If you go down this road of troubleshooting, the account must be deleted first. However to prevent data loss, you can click on remove account from accounts.firefox.com and then re - sign up.

• Install Firefox sync does not not on fresh Ubuntu

  Fresh installation of Ubuntu 64-bit 13.10 with a new installation of Firefox 25. The installation of Firefox Sync program worked flawlessly, except that it does not work. I not encounter errors, and when I said to synchronize the process seems to complete very well. However, I never get my Sync data. Sync works perfectly on my other two boxes of Windows and my three Android devices, and they seem to test very well. Curiously (and I don't care about it here, just mention) I'm having the same problem with a fresh install of Chrome as well. Any suggestions?

• February 25, 2015, after agreeing the Firefox Hello does not work dwhelper. All proposed tests without success.

  I was download Firefox Hello a couple of days. dwhelper no longer works. I tested the extensions. As I only have two, dwhelper and add-on, it was easy to do.

  I use a lot dwhelper. I use online videos from many sources for my physics and astronomy, teaching needs.

  It is a problem with many video sites, not just YouTube.

  I deleted dwhelper and reinstalled. Firefox started and stopped. Rebooted my macbook pro as well.

  Program seems to be working and including window specifying the location to place the download file.

  Hello from Firefox is not a separate download - its share of Firefox itself. There is no direct interaction between your navigation and the morning of Firefox.

  It is more likely that Firefox updated to the latest version, and something in the change means that dwhelper does not work as well. I suggest you ask on the support site of the developer of the extension http://www.downloadhelper.net/documentation.php

  Everything by creating a custom to IOM, attribute entitle you the label, name... At the same time, there will be an option to provide the ldap attribute name. You must provide the name of the attribute that you created in the OID here. Then only ldap sync works on custom attributes. without specifying a ldap attribute name, ldap sync wiill does not work.

  Give it a try and post your results here.

  The version that you have accessed is older that's the 3.6.13 when the 3.6.16 is the current security/stability bug fix update. This site is three 3.6. * versions behind.

  Also there is no need to get any version of some unofficial download sites Firefox randomly when Mozilla has releases archived since the easily accessible, although it is not recommended to go more than 4.0, 3.6.16 or 3.5.18 for security reasons.

  Unfortunately, I don't think that IE spend Ctrl + Z for ActiveX Flash control, which means that it is a matter of Microsoft. A version of TLF after 1.0 is likely to work around this problem by adding Undo/Redo to the context menu of TLF.

Reconnection to sync works only for the current session (restart Firefox disable auto login). No error opens a session on the wave\logs directory.

  Sync is not intended to be used as a backup device, but simply to synchronize data between multiple devices.
  So it is not guaranteed that you can restore the data from the sync server.

  I decided to install a version of Windows 8 in replacement for Win7. So when I looked what I save, I decided to do a FireFox sync account to collect my data when FireFox was again installed on my laptop.

  Why can't I just connect with my login and my password?
  I still got the "Windows.old" file, can I do something with it because I guess I lost all my old data because of this weird codes.

  As an alternative to the synchronization, to find your old data, Firefox, try this. Please note that I have not used Windows 8, to let me know if this makes no sense.

  Help > troubleshooting information > button "record show."

  This should open the folder settings personal (AKA Firefox profile) Firefox in Windows Explorer (or equivalent).

  Browsing from a level to the profiles folder. You can see several folders here, but with a new installation, you probably see only one.

  In the address bar, insert the Windows. old\ into the path as follows:

  Windows. old\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles Users\ directory C:\

  If you used a different username on Windows 7, you will need to change the part. This should take you directly to your old Firefox profile folders. I suggest those that copy to a more accessible location.

  Your old profile or folders contain bookmarks, history, saved passwords, etc. You can migrate as much or as little of what you want. There are a few general articles on this (e.g., recovery of data from an old profile) and of course a lot of past son.
