K, try the info from the thread I linked above, otherwise, it could also be a corrupted Outlook file.  You can try to analyze and repair the Outlook file and see if that helps.  Here is a link to how to do this directly from Microsoft: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA100758311033.aspx

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Moisture damage can happen in many ways. He has been known to be caused by the simple starting with a BB in a small bathroom with a hot shower running... steam has been known to be sufficient to cause this. And no, these damages are generally not covered by the warranty (if your warranty is between you and your business... so only you and they can tell with certainty). Your warranty is a contract between you and your business - this contract is in control of what remedies are available to you. Nobody here can replace.

    1. make sure that you set your own code to the Dialer phone screen > Options > smart dialing.
Set your country Code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

    2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

I searched for the blackberry storm 9530 touch long tone function without being the solution. In order to save money on long distance, I use the phone card to dial in long distance. But I can not send the phone number in my contacts as tones. The only way is to enter the phone number to hand.

This is a very useful feature that has all the basic cell phone. Does anyone know how I can send the phone number (which is already in my contacts) as "tones"?

TELUS Blackberry storm 9530 has said that speaking time for 1 full charge of the battery will be about 6 hours, but it is NOT MORE THAN 2 hours.

It depends on what runs on your device when calling: still does occur after a battery pull?

for example, live GPS is a battery eater. Use of Bluetooth while talking also battery consumes. And of course, the 6 h of communication along assumes you have a perfect network coverage. In order to have 2 hours, it's a little weak, but not surprising for a smartphone.

I charge my device every 3 days, but I don't use much of the mobile network. recharge every day is quite normal for a smartphone.

  • Portrait of Smartphones to unlock Storm blackBerry keyboard - SurePress does not appear

I have my Portrait made SurePress keyboard. It appears correctly for all applications except when I unlock my Storm. Instead, the multi-tap keyboard appears.

Curiously, after I unlock my Storm, the SurePress keyboard appears for one second before the "Office" appears.

When I select multi-tap Qwerty keyboards and full as my default Portrait keyboard, each of them display correctly on the unlock screen.  It's only the SurePress keyboard is not working.

    Any ideas?

    I'm on OS 1.4.7.0148 (ASBL).

    -Phil

Interesting... a theory... SurePress in Portrait use two letters per key (for the most part). And so it uses predictive analytics to understand what you type. That, to me, would be contrary to the security to enter a password... Enter password, for me, has to be perfect and not helped a predictive analytics. Therefore, the use of the SurePress keyboard portrait for password entry would be blocked. Once again, just a theory... I have not seen all articles on the topic. So far... Only, I searched the BTSC and found this:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB16432&SLIC...

While it does not specifically your question, it indeed addresses only two keyboards for password entry.

    Hope that helps!

Hi, my new storm has an error 507, I read is an OS problem. I tried the Desktop Manager to reinstall the OS, but it won't let me upgrade. It says I have the latest version of the software. The BONES of the storm seems to be only available through update online.  At this point, I would contact your operator.  They may have to replace it as the BONE is not yet available for download and manual installation.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not connect BlackBerry Pearl 9105 for PC

    Hello world

    I have the following problem:

After using my BB Pearl 9105 for almost 3 years, I can not connect to PC more (I still menu with choice of 3 options on my smartphone when I connect, but when I click on that option "usb" or "charge", the menu appears again).

In addition, the PC does not recognize my smartphone as a usb device. Updated BlackBerry Desktop Software and the purchase of the new Micro-USB cable did not help.

    I can still load.

  • connection problems on BB 9500 Storm

Hi, I got a new device right now-9500 Storm. I wrote a simple application that only connects to the server, like this:

    _sc = (SecureConnection) Connector.open ("ssl://addresstro;") deviceside = true");

and I can not connect, all the times I had:

Unable to connect net.rim.device.api.io.ConnectionClosedException: closed connection

I put in appropriate under Advanced-> TCP options access point. The browser works. And the server is too late, cause using the same code that I can connect using different devices (8300/8800/8700...).

I do not know the storm unit and I don't know if there is anything else that I need to activate the connections in my applications?

I will be grateful for any suggestion,

    Kind regards

Browsers on a BlackBerry could connect on a different course (not direct TCP).  You can try the httpdemo and/or socketdemo provided with the BlackBerry JDE?  Don't you see the same results with these applications?

  • BlackBerry Connect of Smartphones black berry storm 9500 to wifi?

    Hello world

I juz received a blackberry storm 9500 of my sister, and I don't know how to connect it to wifi (I'm very new to this). I tried google and found different answers, ranging from "storm 9500 cannot connect to wifi", "I'm an and it can connect just fine. I can't find the wifi option in the 'manage' link, and there is either no browser on the homescreen icon.

Can someone tell me how to connect to wifi (it can be connected)? My carrier provider is at & t btw.

    Any help much appreciated!

    Hello

The original models of Storm (9500/9530) have no WiFi radio and therefore cannot use the WiFi. Models Storm2 (9520/9550) added, among other things, WiFi capability. Thus, with a 9500, you have no WiFi radio and so cannot use WiFi services.

    Good luck!
