Synchronization of blackBerry Smartphones do w / outlook more

Hi all

Since today, I can no longer sync my calendar with Outlook 2003. A message appears indicating that an error has occurred during the synchronization process. In my view, an appointment in outlook is damaged. But so far I do not know how to identify the specific one.

Checking DTM logs I can see all the appointments that have been 'Sync' BUT not one where the synchronization failed. It seems that the last entry is first synchronized beeing, BUT is not completely the case. Also, the number of records in the log file is two '2' less then what I can see in the dialog during the normal synchronization process.

In outlook, I've sorted the appointments according to the creation date and modification date. This corresponds to the order of the logfile more or less BUT not completely

So, how can I identify the critical?

What I've done so far:

-Install the new BB OS

-Sync step by step (contacts, etc.)

-delete appointments in outlook (last discs remains the same)

Outlook via the "help-> repair" repair creates error message installation disc is required. Same thing with "scanost.exe.

-BB Bold new SW

-DTM 5.0

-Outlook 2003

-Win XP Prof German SP3

It comes to sth, I've also tried... Ended up in a '200' error and a complete new installation of the BB OS...

Now, I solved the problem by removing a bunch of appointments in outlook. After this, sync works again. ...

Hello and welcome to the community!

Yes, the device switch Wizard has two devices so that he can have an up-to-date backup. But, if you have a recent backup, then the previous BB shouldn't be necessary. See this KB:

    Ok.

Steps I took to get my system working again.

-While the installation worked, I selected "forget device" in the menu of the device.

-Done a complete uninstall of the software of Office BB, including user settings. (A reboot is necessary)

-Download a new copy of BB 7.1 desktop software.

-Installed software, reconfigured synchronization Organizer and everything works fine now.

  • Calendar of Outlook synchronization to blackBerry Smartphones when accessed through a web portal

Can someone point me in the right direction?  I'm giving one of my Blackberry users the ability to synchronize its calendar of his laptop computer.  He can access his Outlook calendar through a web portal to our secure network.  This software has the capacity or is anyone know what software would do?  I don't see that as an option when you set up the software.  Because Outlook is not really run on his laptop computer

    Thanks in advance.

Well, it isn't really a problem with Outlook.  You seem very friendly.  They access their calendar/tasks and messaging via a web portal as a result of the fire walls, we have in place.

However, I did more research on my own here and found that Blackberry Professional Software offers wireless calendar synchronization and which seems to be a good resolution.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Newbie question Outlook synchronization...

I know, I know you crackberry Masters must make fun of my basic question, but it drives me crazy.

I want to curve. I'll use it for personal and business email accounts. Work email is through MS Exchange. I can access my email using Microsoft Outlook Web Access. Our server does not have this fancy/expensive Blackberry Enterprise Software Solution.

Can I still sync my email to my Blackberry Wireless and untethered work? What are the downsides to not have the fancy software / expensive?

You'll be always my friend, if you can answer this fundamental question in simple terms.

    Hi anrobb!

You will be able to receive your email wireless without the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution (BES). You can use the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) to deliver your email. There are two ways this can be accomplished:

1-direct integration of your account Outlook Web Access (OWA). Here, you must create an BIS account and enter your information to OWA, such as the web address of the OWA server, your email address, mailbox name and password. BIS will use this information to analyze your mailbox for new messages at a time interval determined (basically every 15 minutes) and send it to all new mail he sees to your BlackBerry.

    2. create a hosted mailbox and set up a redirection rule. Most (if not all) carriers offer only a free hosted BlackBerry e-mail address when you have a BlackBerry plan. For example, a customer of Verizon could create an email [email protected]. E-mail messages that are sent to these hosted email addresses are pushed to the device, so they come almost in real time. Once you have set up, hosted email address you (or your IT staff) define a redirection rule in your mail server to forward a copy of all new messages to the hosted e-mail address. The next step would be to connect to your BIS account and modify the reply-to field to be your professional email address. This it will bring up that the emails sent from your BlackBerry come from your work email.

A difference in the use of the use of BIS on BES is that you cannot synchronize wireless your address book, calendar, notes and them tasks with BIS - you will need to connect to a computer. BES offers many other features as well, but I won't get it here.

First of all, we will make sure that your browser by e-mail and the calendar entries are the same e-mail that you configured in Outlook.

On your home screen, click the Options icon.  From there, go to device > Adanced configuration > default Services.  Check if those who correspond to your Outlook email address.

  • Problem blackBerry Smartphones with MS Outlook 2007 calendar synchronization

    Hi all

Just to move from a Windows Mobile to a BB 9000 phone, so I'm new to this forum. Please forgive me if this topic has already been discussed, but I'm just finding my way :-)

I live in Cyprus and agreed with local BIS service offered here. So I synchronize with my PC via a USB cable. Everything seems to work very well, apart from the calendar. It appears to sync, I asked to accept changes, which I do, but the new features do not appear in my Outlook calendar. Am I missing something simple?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you guys.

    In Outlook:

Main menu > click Tools and then click e-mail accounts and follow the wizard from there to set up your Outlook e-mail accounts.

If you need help on this, I suggest you look at the forums of users of Microsoft Outlook.

  • Problems of synchronization to blackBerry Smartphones. Calendar and Outlook 2003

    Hello

    I'm new to the BlackBerry.

I have trouble getting my unit to Outlook calendar entries. For years, I relied heavily on the possibility to do this flawlessly on my nokia.

I looked through the forum on this issue and it seems that I'm not the only one, but none of the responses gave a solution.

I read the http://bbry.lv/awQg9a article and found little assistance, but he did not answer why different entries are coming in different colors, but still confuse me, as follows:

    1. I use the v5.0.0.696 (platform 6.2.0.57) software on my phone.

    2. In the calendar options > select Calendar there are two calendars listed, default device (Blue square) and my gmail (squareGreen ) address, but when I add entries on the device, they are in the Red.  I have 1 entry into Blue, 500 + Green and several in the black.

    3. Advanced options > service on my phone book lists the gmail service, but not the service bureau, the page does not mention how to solve this problem!
    4. Advanced options > Default Services - calendar (CICAL) only lists my gmail account and cannot be changed to anything else.
    5. My phone uses an account BIS; but I can't find an option send using.

Can someone please fix it or indicate where to find info?

    Thank you very much

    Jim

In addition to the reading out of messages later, I came acroos one who said

"I found a thread that said to go in your service (under"Advanced Options") books and remove all e-mail addresses with"Cical"after her. I just tried and it seems to work! »

    It worked for me too

    Thank you all

There is unfortunately no way to do it.  The only way to download emails to your computer will be to connect via wifi.  You can check with your cruise line though, as I'm pretty sure that many offer wifi on board.
