System and administrator passwords

HP Envy 17 3D: #ABA product number LV045UA

Suppose the system and/or administrator passwords are set correctly on the screen of the BIOS Setup Security.

Then, later, suppose that for unknown reasons or both correctly entered passwords no longer provide access to the computer.

How passwords to be replaced so that the access to the computer can be provided?

Most computers portable consumer can clear these passwords by removing the cmos (RTC) battery for a few minutes, after cmos battery is connected to the back, you need to immediately enter the bios and set the date and time, before Windows loads.

  • Title and administrator password

I have Windows Vista and now, from today when I try to do anything in the user accounts, the administrator, called RA media server, asks me to put a password, I don't know, to continue with what I want to do.  I tried everything, all of the suggestions, but I've always wondered this password that I don't know.  Why the RA Media Server is the name of the administrator with an unknown password?  I'm a standard user, what is proposed, so under my user account, even though I used to be asked to give permission to continue, and when I said yes, everything was fine and now all of a sudden I have this problem.  I even tried to use the system restore, but even then, I wonder this unknown password so I'm completely stuck!

    Your computer is a Dell?

I found this in my Net travels:

    Q.

I dno butt on vista, but my buddy has a lappy and this morning, he had another account 'RA Media Server' out of the blue, and now its network card does not exist and I was wondering if anyone of you know wtf that is? He can always just re - install, but none of you ever heard of him?

    A.
lol wow guys lets do a little research before you send us. This account is created by Dell remote access software. It's a service Dell offers to allow their remote technicians when contacting them to access issues.

Just uninstall the Dell remote access software and then delete the account.

  • In the System Recovery Options administrator password?

    Hello dear users of Toshiba.

I'm willing to use the "Toshiba Recovery Wizard" in the "System Recovery Options" (after pressing F8 when the computer starts) but when I select Administrator as a user, he invites me for a password.

I double checked my Vista user accounts and the administrator (me) is certainly not no matter what password that are bound to him.
My problem is that I can't use recovery tool if I don't log in as an administrator...

Can someone please help? Y at - it factory default password?

    Thanks to you all!

    Hello

To be honest, your announcement confused me a bit especially the part where you wrote: but when I select Administrator as a user. I don't understand what you mean with it.
    But first some basic information:

Can you imagine you use Toshiba notebook with the settings and someone will make a joke and use the F8 option and reinstall Vista. All of your settings, data and pre-installed software will be gone. Or can someone just use cell phones stolen to get around Vista secure password for laptop and do clean install of Vista using F8 option.

To avoid this Toshiba has this security feature and each try to reload Vista password OS will be refused. So if you use the password to log in to Vista the same password will be required before the installation of recovery begins. By default, there is no password and the name of the administrator account will be shown when you start the recovery procedure. When you enter the correct password, the installation will continue.

So much about the theory. I don't know how you do and which account you use, but the fact is, without administration account name and correct password, you won't be able to install Vista using this HARD drive recovery option.

Regain access to your admin account using system restore

    Excerpt:
    Important note...
This works in cases where you changed your password to something new and then has forgotten or deleted a user account by accident. So that this works, there must be a restore point from the system during which logging has managed for the account of the problem. In addition, this isn't a problem if you are in a domain environment because the domain administrator can always reset your password.

  • you try to start "adding value" to repair corrupted file "system config"; XP keeps asking "administrator password"; There is none of my knowowledge. is there a solution?

hard drive failure continued with a new HD; correct formatting; Windows xp installed and validated; all the updates including SP3 installed.

Restored data BU on the external drive to the newly installed HD; When you are finished, has received the error message saying that the Configuration of the Windows system file is missing or damaged. Tempted to use my XP CD to repair and everything goes well until the moment he asks an "administrator password". It is not one I know, so how do I conveyed this point? I did "enter"; beyond passwords possible etc and after 3 attempts, it forces me to do it again.

    Hello

    · What is the number and the model of the computer?

    · What stage of the repair facility is it ask the password?

    · You are the administrator of the computer?

    · What is the service pack disk that you use to fix your computer?

Repair facility is the last option that we follow to solve the problem.

  • System repair fron start CD requires the administrator password.

Have many problems (right click, explore crashes, slow response) various virus scans find nothing.

System Restore does not work (tried 5 more than 6 weeks old Restore Points)

I tried the repair from the CD, but the CD is WP SP2 so that it refuses to repair XP SP3.

I boot from the CD and it askes that push to start from so I select the CD D:

    Then there an administrator password.

If I just hit ENTER it does not accept that.

The only place that I can't imagine asking an administrator password is in the recovery console, but this isn't where you want to be if you try to reinstall Windows from scratch.

If you don't mind destroying all data on the disk, you can follow the instructions here: http://www.icompute.info/restore_with_B_PE_disk.htm

Virus cannot write in the BIOS so I wouldn't worry about it, and you're right that may not be on the CD, and I highly doubt that you would have one on your hard drive, either--so no need to panic :)

I hope that the above link will be of some use :)
