  Download the appropriate driver from the printer manufacturer's web site.  If it contains a Setup program, run the program and when it asks you to specify the printer installation, create a local printer whose name is \\xpsystem\printer where 'xpsystem' is the charing system printer and "printer" is the name of the share.  This should create the printer.

  You can also expand the downloaded driver and try to add the printer as you did before, direct the installation to the folder containing the driver that you downloaded.

  Hi kgolden.  Try the GET target information (IP) .vi.  In my installation (8.5.1), it is under 7.x, libraries user, System RT replication functions, so my

  guess is that it comes from the replication of system libraries, which have a lot of other nice stuff.

When I go to download the software and it to authenticate with the serial number, it indicates the serial number is in use and I have to disable another system.   If you have only one installation enabled then you can avoid probably disable the one you currently have.  You will receive a message about exceeding the activations if this has been a problem.

  If the school has provided this software as a special offer you can check with them.  In some cases, special offers are limited and the license does not last forever.  If you paid the price full student then this is not the case.

  I bought Acrobat Pro XI online and received an acknowledgement by electronic mail.  When I went to download it, I was unable to complete the process, because I was not provided with a serial number.  I followed the instructions to get one on the site, however I still couldn't get a!  Immediately, a message appears indicating that I am not recognized.  My husband went from Verizon Fios Cat-5 on a coaxial cable for our internet connection between my purchase and my attempt to get the serial number.  Could he have made a difference?  Be that as it may, what should I do?  It's extremely frustrating!  I need to use the software and I have not been able to for the last two days even if I have to pay for it!  Help, please!

  Thre is no serial number for a subscription. The way it is supposed to work is, you sign in with the SAME Adobe ID code and he knows what you paid for.
